  • Well, this is a real tahitian dancer in Tahiti with true Tahitian moves. For those who says it's not Tahitian, then wad is it? Who knows it better than them? Huh? She's a great and a very beautiful dancer with graceful movements. Unlike here in the U.S., we r trying to copy them and criticize them with their own culture? NAH! THEY KNOW BETTER

than us here in the U.S. Many girls here in the US are really good in farapu, but as graceful, not really. MAHALO!

  • your faarapus are amazing

  • One of the best solos :)

  • Dont be closed minded when u go to a host culture, just enjoy. Dont compare it to your american culture. She not a stripper

  • She's good, and so am i.. im not even Tahitian, but i watch N learn.. i quess my hip's flexible so im LUCKY...lol. :)

  • i like how in Tahiti, when they do amis and such, they have there legs apart, just like when it was like first made by like a wild tribe or something like that. There is only a few people who do that now in America, which is sad sorta. :/ I'VE BEEN TO TAHITI AND ITS FRIGGIN AWESOME!!!!!

  • @sicknez999 still the rule is when fa'arapu (ami) in place ur feet and legs should be closed...when feet apart, it's mostly on toes....it's not seen as pretty do dance like u got poop between ur legs:D

  • THE BEGINNING WAS STRIPPER'ISHH WHEN SHE WAS LAYIN D0WN 0N THE LAVA LAVA ... L0L ... 0THER THAN THAT SHEz G00D .

  • I like the music HaHa its such pretty music idk how music is pretty but it is lol she did great :)

  • sans doute - la plus belle que j'ai jamais vue

  • good job :)

  • Aloha mai O Hawai'i... He nani loa i kona hula o Tahiti. Kuko i ko ke kino. Aloha no.

  • WHAT are you talking about? this is tahitian.. dances sometimes evolve too. everyone has their unique style of projecting creativity...and this girl is TAHITIAN. no need to look down upon. she did very well with much grace and beauty. and btw, it wasn't even close to a strip dance! What matters is how much mana she possesses in her art. still, tradition is key. but it doesn't mean that no one is free to let their mind flow with expression

  • @iLaNdGuRLL I agree:D Some would maybe call this vulgar or to modern, but I'd say it's the opposite, the thing w the Ori in the US, it has been too Americanized for competition use, so what they call modern, is how our ancestors used to dance, bc they danced more freely, and more creatively than today, bc they told a story! They didn't have any written alphabet, so when they danced, it was all said through dance, and no words:D NATURAL!

  • @baysiderecording you obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

  • @autreeisthebest I agree, it's b\cuz of people like him that many cultural dances where banned under the colonial times. I bet he got turned on, and therefor had to bash her! Lol! What is it with people like him, they only see SEX! Jeeze!

  • @baysiderecording lol I guess u see only what u wish to see! if u knew what u where talking about then u wouldn't say such ignorant comment! She's an amazing and skillful Ori dancer! Finito!

  • @baysiderecording your a JEALOUS IDIOT BITCH!!!! I seen ur pic ur ugly too!! This is REAL TAHITIAN FROM TAHITI BITCH..... ur a joke.

  • She has improved even more since this video was taken... Teruria Rocks! :)

  • She has improved even more since this video was taken... Teruria Rocks! :)

  • She has improved even more since this video was taken... Teruria Rocks! :)

  • The reason Tahitians are better at that dance is cause they have to take it in all the years they go to school...They have to perform a graduation dance at the end of they're schooling...it's the same for Tongans and Samoans...it's to preserve they're culture...

  • sorry but this is not true, i'm tahitian, and tahitian dance is only an option at school.

  • a lot of the time in tahiti the music and drum beats are original so its unlikely you'll know what its called....

  • this girl is great at this. she looks like shes having fun while showing everyone what she can do

  • This girl made the dance come to life...she is very authentic, graceful and very feminine

  • this was so different. authentic i guess. i guess this is another type of solo in regards to tahitian dancing.

  • Her name is Teruria

  • thanx

  • not to be rude, but just b'cuz it's your culture doesn't make you an expert, just saying=) Just b'cuz I'm Norwegian, doesn't mean I'm an expert when it comes to skiing even tough we are known for it, but of course it's my culture, so I know how to...

  • Speechless!!!! mahalo foo posting this...

  • Well not all good tehitian dancers are tehitian. Just saying.

  • well the majority of them are. just saying.

  • I agree with you on that one, that goes for every culture thing in every race/nation/country.

Like, just b'cuz your from Korea doesn't mean your a pro when it comes to tae kwon do.

But I have to admit, tahitians does it with more grace, more ease, extravaganza and speed than any other ori dancers, wether they are non tahitians or not.

  • this gurl is the shit !!!! :)

  • Now this is what u call a real solo..Take it away girl cause u know ur da bomb..
