  • How do you get it to roll that fast? mine takes forever to roll

  • firts I think just build the pylon racer and after that I build your V3:) FPV

  • ok :) . but went you using a 14.1V battri with a 60amp ESC 5V that dont cause a problem?

  • hhooo and can you help my to find a ESC more cheap please? :)

  • @TheAgentKoala I think hobbypartz(dot)com has a cheaper 60 amp ESC. Go there and start to look around.

  • Will do you think that can fit on the the pylon racer? or this is too heavy? (and sorry about my english I talk french)

the product is FPV system 900mhz 800mh this is a kit

  • i didn't can put the link :(

    the web site is hobbyking

  • @TheAgentKoala that system might be a little heavy. Why don't you build my FPV V3 and start there with FPV.

  • ok tank you mikey:)

  • MikeysRC is the shit! BTW im building you FPV plane n IM GOING TO WIN THAT TEN BUCKS!

  • mikey the lipo battrie is rechargeable?

  • @TheAgentKoala Yes.

  • mikey the lipo battrie is rechargeable?

  • I have finish the frame :) 3h

  • Dude, you look like Prince Willliam!!!

  • I like you not sure why probabaly bacause of your courage to show you fails and epic wins im officialy subscribed and happily umm..... happy :D

  • @MikeysRC what would be a cheap controller for this build that is suitable? Thanks

  • @dutton04 It really doesn't matter. Any 3 channel or higher transmitter will work. Athough one with Dual rates and EXPO would be better.

  • would it be possible to make the pylon racer out of coroplast and use a cox babybee .049 nitro motor?

  • So I have the electronics set up from the F-117 which has been wrecked over and over again, and think it's time to move on to one of these.

  • @SuperT661 Yeah go for it!

  • @MikeysRC

Bought the plans last night! Lookin good. I'm gonna finish it when I get home.

  • With your how to build video on this, did u use your second motor and stuff or that suckie one?

  • I donated to charity!

  • @jelz95 If you are trying to say that you are one of the ones that donated to MikeysRC then I'll send you the plans. Please send me a Youtube message with your actual email so I can verify that.

  • Don't they say never use more than 4,000KV motor on propellers...

  • @provideotube No. It depends on the propeller. They all have different limitations.

  • If your really looking for speed put a 5x5 with a 3-cell on that grayson hobby parkjet motor.

  • @NuttyPro67 Yes it does look like a motor from them. However it's one I had in my box O parts from when I use to sell parts.

  • @MikeysRC -- Bro, first off.. your videos are AMAZING!... thank you soooo much for making this hobby affordable. Secondly, I was hoping you could PLEASE do a build video for the pylon racer? It would be a lot of help for newbies like myself. Btw, also had a quick question, how much did the electronics cost u? I have lots of 3 cell lipos sitting around... what would you recommend as an affordable set up in order for me to use my 3 cell lipos? Once again.. thnx much :-)

  • @ehsanaman222 Hey...glad you REALLY like the videos =). Yes there will be a bild video(s) for this. Bat + ESC + motor + 3 servos is about $60. Look at mt more recent pylon video for a list of all the parts used. You can't get speed for much cheaper than what I have listed there. Though if you are only using a 3 cell then use a 6 X 4 prop. Please tell your other friends about my channel.

  • @MikeysRC -- Bro, you're the best! Thanks much in advance for the build vid.... I'm really looking forward to it. I'll be sure to tell my friends about your channel. I'm sure they'll love it too cause they are wanting to get into the hobby but are too afraid of buying expensive planes only to have it crash on their first flight. This is an affordable way of enjoying the hobby. Once again, thank you very much for the build vid and I'll keep an eye out for it. Cheers! :-)

  • @ehsanaman222 Cool man, Thanks for spreading the word =).

  • Bad ass. Can't wait for the pdf's

  • where's the pylon ?

  • Nice design. The wing shape and coloration reminded me of a penguin. Penguins are that agile in the water believe it or not... Nice work. - Ed

  • Nice Holloween plane.

  • i want to make this! please make plans!

  • Great plane cant wait for the plans

what prop is on th 2200kv will?

  • Hey Will, like always again a great design

    greetings

  • Hey Will, cool plane. Was checking out some hobby sites and saw that you would have to pay about 7 times the price for anything in that class. That is another great home build.

  • I "think" I did a video-reply...? Don´t really like this new Youtube-appearance.. Anyways, try that motor I used in my Funjet, see my vids if the reply doesn´t show..?

  • That's awesome Will, nice job! I was impressed it could handle those loops without trying to fold up.

  • What a fantastic little scratch build. I feel motivated to slap something together myself after seeing that performance. Thanks again for all your hard work putting the show together. Take care, Andy. From NZ.

  • can you explain me the engine differences i notice the kv diference but what does it does ? thanks

  • @PcandTech The higher the KV the faster the motor turns. KV has nothing to do with the power of a motor only how fast it turns.

  • Nice Build Will. Simple and well balanced. It seemed to be well behaved!!

  • I love how you fly in the face of regular RC planes (pardon the pun), creating and building crazy creations! Stick a cheap keychain cam on that thing and let rip! :D

  • wow great job.

  • Nice Job.

  • try the 2212-06 on a 5x5 i got myn up to 96mph

  • can you tell me the wing size and wing loading if you want.

i really want to know because i have a small fokker dr1 triplane with only 65cm wingspan and its pretty heavy for its size i think, even if it has 3 wings

  • You're not used to speed much are you? ;) That's about as fast as my "lazy" planes fly. Id love to pit my twister up against your racer. >:D

  • @SvenOkonomi Wow that's really cool. How much money did it cost to buy your twister?

  • @SvenOkonomi Dude you are kidding, you really own a plane that is faster than this. Can you post a set of plans, maybe a video. Is your plane so fast a camera can't record it. How do you fly something so fast. You are my hero.

  • @jauchiu I dont like flying it much BECAUSE its so fast. ;) Too tiring. Id link you to my doppler chart but youtube wont let me.

  • 4400kv using 6x4?? did u fry ur motor?

  • @wingyip yeah just about. It smelled pretty bad but still worked surprisingly. Good thing I have like 4 of these motors and don't really care if I destroy one =).

  • @MikeysRC nice... =D

  • That flies great!

    Nice job.

  • LOL, looks like a swallow wearing a funeral-box :D

  • @platterhof OMG dude that just make me laugh out loud! I love it. Very true =) Thumbs up for making me laugh.

  • Is that a dowel across the top of the wing? Nice flyer!

  • @BeeZee2 Yeah just a 1/4 inch dowel covered with packing tape.

  • I wonder if a 5x5 prop would work better with that 4000+kv motor. Nice plane! I may build one now

  • @jcrankshawskids Yeah probably would. The 6X4 was way too big but it was a Sunday and I didn't feel like driving 30 min to my LHS =).

  • awsome dude

  • Great plane Mikey, thanks.. I will be donating as soon as I can find a job... promise...

  • Try putting a KF4 on it

  • Now thats got me interested Will ;-) just got to finish another scratch build and with a bit of luck the plans might be up for this one and i just might give it a go i'll have to wait and see ;-) 10 out of 10 mate = thumbs up.

  • @startazz Thanks. Yeah this plane will put a smile on your face.

  • Good work Will ..... The last combo seemed to work better .. but was that still with the 2s lipo?

  • try your inrunner on 3s with something in a 4" prop. that will = more speed, 6x4 is too big for a 4000kV motor :)

    Looking good.

    Jon

  • @rcFFBloodyMicks Yeah the 6X4 was way too much prop for that motor. Well I already kinda changed the motor mount so I don't know if I'll try the inrunners anymore. I'm thinking of trying this motor. Turnigy2836 brushless Outrunner 2350kv or Hobbypartz has one pretty close to this and I won't have to wait for ever to get it from China =)

  • @MikeysRC I love that motor, the 2836-2350 I have personally clocked on my SR-71 clone at 130mph :) with a 4.75x4.75 on 4s. but that motor can handle a 6x4 on 3-4s no problem.

    Jon

  • @rcFFBloodyMicks

do u have video of it would love too see it. john

  • @justfly60482 yea I do, its the MC-71 video on my uploads, was last summer, going to break it out and try it again soon.

    Jon

  • Nice that you use metric system so we don't have to recalculate! :)

  • Looks good mate nice one! :)

  • man she was agile. looked like fun to me. of course I'm not in speed planes.

If you try to make it faster I'd turn down the rates. I just cant see it taking the g's with out stiffening the fuse.

    Great job.

  • Can't wait for the plans ! Awesome plane!

  • That was a really fun video to watch

That thing is fast enough for me. :-)

    Cheers and keep them coming

    Greetings from Belgium

    Erik

  • microjet V3 from greyson hobbys on a 3 cell should work right. cant wait for the free plans. hope to be able to fly it this summer

  • look like a bird 5:13 nice plane

buy a speed cam prop by graupner

    grtzz

  • That looks like a pretty cool plane! I might build something similar

  • FIRST!
