Only if you are looking for a different way to play games. I don't know it's your call. As of now I no longer own it so I won't be uploading new videos about it.
Personally, I'm barely good at TF2 using a mouse. I can imagine the learning curve with this thing if I was playing online.
@No3225 I got one a long while ago, its fun for a little, then you put it away since its too hard to use and you need a good desk to use it on. My desk is too tight to do it justice although I'm not sure how much justice can be done. It's a good effort and I'd like to see it evolve, but it needs work like an ambidextrous pistol grip.
They have them at walmart for 150 apparently. i think i'm going to pick one up soon. how often do you use it? Also, i have been wondering, if you get the drivers that they are releasing for say, tf2, can you play online with people who aren't using a falcon while you are using one?
They are mods for the games, not drivers. Those are completely different. But no, you should look up the official list of games they are making mods for because there aren't many completed right now. Half-Life 2 is the only one I have that can utilize the Novint Falcon (it's actually a third-party sourcemod game named Haptics-Life 2.)
I'm pretty sure thats the case, as it also says on their website (Under Games>Release Schedule) that the source games will be updated through Steam for free.
Kind of looks like a mech control.

The OP doesn't know what they are talking about. MODS are NOT required to play using the Falcon.
The Falcon can be used with ANY computer game now, because of the 'F-Gen' Drivers they developed.
You can disable the recoil, or retune the sensitivity if you want.
Yes, you CAN play game with people that are NOT using the Falcon, since it is a standardized Peripheral that does NOT require MODS.

Would be useless on games where you just look up instead of real recoil

Looks a bit useless. Feedback? If your weapons are giving you feedback, doesn't that put you at a disadvantage to mouse using players?
0mikr0n 2 years ago
It does but you will knowingly go into the online servers accepting that challenge.
sonikkuffffff 2 years ago
You can disable it. I myself really want to get a Pistol Grip Novint, way too much money for me though.

@0mikr0n

so there is no way to play with people that are in normal servers?
Hmmberto 3 years ago
@sonikkuffffff
The falcon does NOT require mods, it can be used with any program.
Pwnzornaut 1 year ago
All of the Steam games (TF2, CSS, etc.) will be updated directly through Steam, and included in the original versions of the game.
They will, therefore, be playable with mouse users. Or at least thats what I've read in their forums.
