  • This song was written for my mom when I was about 8 or 9. It was a Valentines gift for her. She was very beautiful, smart and funny. Thank you all for all the lovely comments. It's nice to see that my dads music is enjoyed by so many :) -Jennifer Ellis

  • I heard that on the day Elyse died in Los Angeles, her father in New York City had a heart attack when he got the news. They'd had a rocky relationship, then they died on the same day.

If you get a chance to hear Roger sing, he's got a beautiful voice. I would have thought he'd be more of a star again, by now. Elyse was very intelligent and always ready to have a good time. I'm so glad you bought his CD. Thanks for caring!

  • I just talked to him in subway today and bought his CD "lullaby in Blue" with this song in it. beautiful. Thanks for sharing this

  • Elyse was my very best friend for many years in New York City. We had great adventures. She also played guitar. We had big dreams and were going to set the world on fire. We talked of our old age. That was over 40 years ago. She married Roger Ellis and had 2 daughters. She passed away over 25 years ago. Those were the days, my friend...Hey Roger..Bless you...Alma

  • Sometimes I just stand there at Queens Park and listen to the guy before heading off to my classes in the university in the morning... makes me smile.

  • Roger Ellis often plays this tune at Queens Park station in the mornings.... always has good tunes.
