i'm after somone who can teach me ... what is the difference between a float scan or 4 bytes scan... and how do i know what type of scan i would use for what games?

like for audiosurf, you need a float scan, and not a 4 bytes scan to change the score value... but why?

Depending on the type of information they can decide how much memory they need. Different types of memory require different amounts of memory. I doubt you can know for certain what type you need before hand. Best to use "any" i guess, till you find out.

@S0undBite it doesn't have to be 1000. the game running in firefox has variables, and they could be anything from 1-9999999. 1000 is the cash he has, so when he scans it it searches for all things with the variable value of "1000". then when he changes the cash he has and then enters it again, the engine searches for things that have changed from variable 1000 to 800. that narrows it down and gives him the exact address for the cash. when he changes the value, it changes in the game.
