From a US standpoint, 'it's perhaps too difficult to think that the guy down the street could meticulously plot and carry out a terrorist attack of such magnitude. We go to the obvious scapegoat. In this moment in history, it is Muslims. In the US, aside from the obvious WTC bombings,many terrorist threats/attacks turned out to be homegrown. It's difficult, but we need to stop and think before laying blame.
