@Cheeseybeaver45 Massive Entertainment were bought by Ubisoft in 2008, and only have been able to release the expansion to WiC since then. Massive has collaborated on numerous Ubisoft projects since, including AC: Revelations. In 2010, Massive have been working on their own secret game. Also in the same year, they went out to a Swedish Army training grounds (Massive is based in Sweden), and experienced a mock battle, and recorded the sounds for audio in their game. WiC2?? I fucking hope so!

Most games use 100% cinematic trailers to cover up less-impressive gameplay. Amazingly WiC is SO GOOD its visuals actually match the trailer. I nearly pissed myself the first time I saw a WiC tank battle. Its a thing of technological beauty.

@4l3xander13 Thats not Chernobyl. Those are US soldiers fighting off a Russian attack at what appears to be a desert town near a carnival. The suits they are wearing are to protect against possible chemical, biological, or nuclear attacks.

Those suits aren't very common since they are bulky, but if the US goes to war against a major power such as russia, then they will become standard issue.

The Soviet Military replaced there AK-47s by 1989 (AK-74 I believe). And no, an M4A1 and M16 are not the same. M16s are from the 1960s, M4s are from the mid '90s.

The Uzi isn't in the game, neither is the AUG or MP5.

OK, the great thing I found about World in Conflicts campaign, was that it was both immensly fun and had amazing cut scenes that were on par with any war drama. And they blend together so well.

Anyway, I don't really get your statement. They COULD have made a movie, that doesn't mean they should have. They made it in to a game because... yeah, it's fun. By the way who are these other people you claim want it too?

Where, the Call of Duty games are a first person shooter, and have no strategy just go in shoot the place up. Where in this case WIC, it's strategy, and you command the forces, and try to find the best way to win.

MW2 takes alot of inspiration from various movies such as The Rock, Air Force One, and Red Dawn. World in Conflict's story is generally confined to the critical time period at the close of the 1980s, when the Soviet Union started to disintegrate. It doesn't share much with MW2 other then the idea of the Russians/Then Soviets pulling off an attack on American soil. Treat World in Conflict like a Tom Clancy or Larry Bond Novel (Red Storm Rising.) and MW2's as hollywood/iw's idea of war.

There is, kinda. Soviet Assault Expansion allows you to play the game from the Soviet perspective. There's a possibility that a sequel after will come out too.
