If you did grow up with the early mega man series, then it must just be a matter of taste for you. 7 obviously looks better being on the snes, but mega man 2 and 3 were special.

Snakeman is very easy. Just stand on the middle platform and jump over him when he runs towards you... Easy peasy. His algorythm is very basic and easy to dicipher.

there is a cheat when you playing with the console. on player 2 joystick, keep hold the forward direction button while the player 1 is playing. you will get high jump and if you fall to a hole, the music stops and you still alive with no energy and able to walk below the screen ( cant see the rockman ).

This video is playing using an emulator, set to a PAL (not NTSC) and you will hear the original or real tempo. this music is kinda too fast.

For some reason I thought his weakness was Magnets so when I did this stage all I had was magnets, hard knuckle, and top spin... all worthless against him so I had to fight him with my blaster. I also didn't have any 'E' - needless to say it took me forever to beat him! Ugh.

yeah put me down in the apparent minority who find Snake Man to be very easy. He was the first robot master I beat in this game. I can take him out without getting hit. (The secret: keep moving so he can't collide with you! also remember you can shoot through the middle column.) I always take him out first so I can use the snakes against non boss foes. They work great against those annoying cats in Top Man's stage.

No for me the hardest bosses are Shadow Man and the Quick Man Doc Robot.

The best weapon to use agains snakeman is needles. You pump him with needles a few times and he's gone. Shadownman's weapon is best used against sparkman as you can rapid fire on him when he's close by. Excellent game, MM3, one of the best ones.

It has to do with the glitch he mentions. The platform sometimes will push you off when it first comes up. If you jump just as the lift comes out, you never risk getting pushed off. l2nmm3

to kill snake man, you need to jump over him towards the right as he is coming back. that way you dont get caught when he tries to run into you or shoot you. You keep moving back to the left, which traps you with no way to move. If you fight him on the right, not only can you get more hits, but you will also have time to avoid his attack.

Well, you can get all 3 for $20 which is an excellent deal. If you have limited funds, think of it this way:

Mega Man 3 is the longest and easiest of the 3

Mega Man 2 is the most legendary of the 3 with mild difficulty

Mega Man 9 is by far the hardest but still an amazing game.

I don't recommend 9 unless you're a hard core player and can beat 2 and 3.

That was not a typo. While it is true that some people will be able to memorize everything about Mega Man 2 because it's shorter, it is still the harder of those 2 games. Mega Man 3 has 9 possible E-Tanks instead of 4 and the slide increases your ability to dodge. Rush jet also allows you to just fly through the toughest areas. This is a subjective argument of course but generally speaking, Mega Man 3 is still an easier game than Mega Man 2 for a beginner. Both are still great games though.

Seriously, I'm not trying to sound cool, he's pretty easy. You might take a few hits at first but you need to get on the pillar in the middle of the room. From there you just dodge his snake shot (or shoot them) and when he get close you jump over him. Once you get this simple process down he's one of the easiest bosses.

Lol actually your right. But until somebody fighting him finds out that you have to stand on the middle pillar and jump over him once he gets close, then he will seem hard to anybody fighting him.
