Spent the vacation there this just got back today best time of my life thus far man....I've been there one time before it just gets better and better every time.
yeahhh almost all east side of montreal speaks french (like me :P) and almost all west side speak english but in center of montreal its partyyyyy every fuckin days chicks everywere love my city :D
i heard montreal is like HALF- FRENCH AND HALF - ENGLISH is it true? becouse everyone that i know who lives in montreal they speak ENGLISH and french :p
@spacecowboy5000 lmao. c'mon french class isn't that bad (or maybe is it because i'm french ?). but all the "french before english" laws are annoying though.
@SelGomezFan4Lifee Well, I'm half french and I love it as much as my english side. When I wrote that I was thinking of a sketch by Rock et Belles Oreilles where Robert Bourassa was "le Foureur". lol Lately I don't feel as much movement among seperatists. They've been deceived so many times in the past and now with Pauline Marois (shudder!)... Montreal is always changing and that's one of the reasons I love living here.
@BiLlAbOnG353 yeah.. almost every Montrealers speak/understand English. All the people I know (friends, family, etc) speak English, and half of my friends speak English 24/7. Westmount, NDG, West-Island, Lachine have the most English speaking people.
Well I think Laval could be a good choice for you, it's very calm. Living in Montréal in not a bad choice, because you got Metro, a lot of buses and all .
i'm moving to montreal with my wife and my 9 year old kid, what neighborhood do you recommend that is quiet and not so expensive? is it better in the banlieu?
Well I have lived in Montreal all my life and personally, if your looking for a very busy area in Montreal then you should buy a house in DownTown or near it because wow it is busy and beautiful. RDP is where I live, is very calm and not much happens there. The houses in Laval are either big or small, there is no real "Medium" size if you look at it. The big houses are expensive and most small houses are very affordable.
OMG, i miss montreal soo much. I lived there my whole life and just last year i moved to florida. I miss Ste-Catherine and Westmount where i used to live.
Montreal is a great city, with a mix of New York and Paris with its own personality, sexiness and character.
If it wasn't for the brutal winter, I'll be leaving there.

Hahahahaha in The Mirror's Best of Montreal 2009 The #1 and #4 spots went to Domino's and Pizza Hut.
Montreal there's lots to like about you, but you've got some wicked shitty taste in pizza, god damn.
