  • 12 miles? i'm dissapointed by the fact that chevy volt is doing 40 miles... but technology will improve given the time so let's wait...

  • electricity is cheaper because gas is more convenient

  • The Toyota Plug-IN Hybrid would have been one of the best cars on the road. Too bad they wont mass produce it.

  • Toyota ...biggest idiots ....they have RAV EV...and they sold the patent of theyr batteries....

  • Awww. I really wanted to have one.

  • What Toyota has done stupid and very short-sighted !! Where is the bold vision that brought the hybrid car like the Prius on the road in the first place gone ?!!!!

  • @davisgreen2020 Shut the fuck up, The prius was put on the road for a family hatchback but unlike a family car the mpg is related to a super mini and grams or CO2 like no other. The plug in is to get the prius to 95mpg and 59grams of CO2

  • @toyotaprius79 I will not shut the fuck up ! The man in the video said it best ! " Who killed the electric car part 2 ? Toyota ! A plug-in-hybrid is a good car ! Why not let people buy it ?! Why just lease ?!! What does Toyota got to hide ? Why hold the car back ?!! We need MORE all electric and plug-in-hybrid cars NOT less !! Our planet is at stake !!!

  • @damnedsewerrat and if you wanted to be "green" with your money, you could buy 7 volkswagen polo bluemotion diesels which get almost 90 mpg each, pay the taxes on importing them to america, and pay to make them comply with crash safety ratings.

    OR

you could lease a honda fcx clarity and a honda civic.

understand what a waste of money this is yet?

  • @coolerdude44 Shut the fuck up. VW bluemotion Polo is a joke and the prius isn't made entirely for competing mpg it's made as a medium sized family hatchback but the economy as a supermini. The honda fxc clarity is one of the best step forward of car design but its hard enough to spread hydrogen fuel cell stations around England, Ireland, USA, France, Japan ect.... plus you're LAME/

  • are you kidding me? "top edge" technology? don't make me laugh. i literally did a 11 page research paper on why hybrids are damaging the environment and costing people unnecessary money. this "top edge" technology of which you're referring to gives the prius the same mpg as a normal diesel powered golf.

if the range rover isn't "top edge" (idk where you get this term from) enough for you, a porsche 911 also costs this much. so does a mercedes s-class. all are better than a prius.

  • you're calling me poor because i don't want to spend $870 a month on a prius? right... you go ahead and do that buddy. you realize you can lease a range rover for an identical monthly payment, right? that's what i'll be doing...

  • checkout zeitgeistmovie com

and you will understand why we still use petrolium.

  • search for "The Most Insensitive Video on YouTube".... wow... its crazy

  • I love how he jokes at 0:58! nice to see some patriotism in moderation.

  • what a joke we have electric cars that do 150km on a charge and the electricity is heaps cheaper than fuel. If you travel 70km to and from work then charge up over night you'll never use petrol at all to go to work. Thats what we have available in Australia right now.

  • ... this car has absolutely no point. if i wanted a slow shitty car than can only go 12 miles on a charge of electricity, i'd buy a sinclair c5, not spend $870 a month on a toyota.

  • @coolerdude44 this was meant as a "tester" not for public, but to figure out which direction they want to head in for the future.

  • only 12 miles on a full charge?

  • No, pay attention.

  • Well, all he said was that you can drive up to 12 miles with just the battery power all alone with just a few hours of charging, but he never mention the maximum miles on a full charge.

So I guess you'll have to pay more attention to my post instead just throwing it at me.

  • Its just a Pruis with decals and a cord....

  • @Bugatti252mph but its a PRIUS with decals and a cord... :)

  • True dat.

  • I am guessing Ed Begley jr already has one of these.

  • yeah shame on toyota for not putting an extremely expensive, unlikely-to-sell-well car on the market

    -____-

  • Toyota fail

  • hey WhatTheBuck. ur amazing!!!
