2computer1 your theory is correct. to find out i went in streetview of toronto downtown and i just checked the large windows of the stores and guess what i saw in the reflecktion......a car. they just blur the car out of the camara...don no why but ya thats the truth
Actually, Google hired various people to attach a specific camera to the roof of their car, and drive down streets with the camera on auto to take a picture every few seconds. Then the pictures are sent to Google, and Google blocks out license plates, mailboxes, and sometimes people's faces. Then they upload the pictures and put them onto the Google site for you to look at your own house.
At least that's how I THINK it's done. Not completely sure, though. I'm probably pretty close, so...yeah.
This is my point. That is how we "think" it's done.Has anyone ever seen one of these vehicles? Why are they filming asphalt/the sky? When you see a dog in the middle of the road,it's strange how it's just standing there- NOT running away from an oncoming "mapping vehicle".Why with all the tech shows journalistic coverage, we have never seen a demonstration of this technology?Check out what is in the sky in Streetview sometime.
i looked it up apparently they have cars drive around with full 360 degree 100 megapixel cameras that shoot up to 30 frames per second, its almost overwhelming to think of it.

This is so cute, and so true. The work never ends. But Mr. Camera seems very happy to do it. :)

Can you imagine the amount of work and resources invested to accomplish this, it's amazing and a show off as well.
