  • Try niagaracycle com for $10 tires, 26" mtb and 27 & 700c road hybrid tires.

  • I have a vertical shaft Honda 5.hp ohc 2006 mower engine no clutch blade clutch. Use a regular rear bike rack and.. I rather get a horizontal shaft. Harbor freight engine best way to go. How long does the tire last. Build on like you did.

Let me know rubber on the pulley on the shaft. Good engine HONDA 2006 Model kinda new looks new.

  • @mrbobtyler The tire lasted less than 100km. The bike rack was too weak.

  • hey what did u use for the spindle could you make a how to video please?!

  • Works pretty well. But you could keep the tire from wearing like that if you put something else on besides a pulley. A solid roller would have more surface area to grip the tire, and would not cut into it as much. Juat a thought.

  • @crazyfvck I have used a wide cylindrical steel thing and a polyurethane wheel. The tire lasted longest with the cylindrical thing.

  • how did you set the engine on the bike?

    appreciate the answer::)

  • this is sick i didnt think of this for a vertical shaft lawn mower hahaha

  • would friction drive mess up if the tire got wet or if it wore down so the tire wasnt touching the peice that rotates the wheel?

  • @LaXnWiz It's less friction with wet tire. The tire cost was higher than the fuel cost. It did not need adjustment as the tire got worn.

  • do you get good acceleration with this engine and friction drive?

  • @longjonsilvrr If the tire is dry.

  • beastin

  • what did you use for drive pls i want to know im making it and on what did you put engine

  • tats tight :D

  • lol it exploded at the end

  • I wanna ride this bike.

  • orgie.

  • that sucked

  • hahahahahahahahaha omg lol hahaha boom hahaha lol you lost tube hhh

  • Would you recommend making the friction be created on the rubber of the tire or the metal? does the rubber really wear down and mess it up?

  • @altosaxman9 The tire does wear down faster when friction on the tire. I have not tried to do it on the metal.

  • @kjedeleplass don't, if you have v-brakes it ruins the rims

  • check out 'jumping gourds', that's my mini bike, more to follow.

  • That's a fucking awesome idea, man. i've been wondering how to use a vertical shaft motor! If you could change that pully to some sort of rubber drive wheel, it wouldn't eat the tire so badly.

  • @MrBoobtoob1 just convert the engine to horizontal like i did

  • @ducatiluke I have mounted it on the side. I filled it with enough oil to cover half the oil slinger for vertical shaft. It have used a couple of litres gasoline and still works.

  • @ducatiluke how did u convert it to a horizontal>?

  • @hein127 simple added an oil slinger to the conecting rod

    off anhorizontal shaft engine

    and spun the carbi around

  • @ducatiluke I filled the engine with more oil when I mounted it on the side, and it still works.

  • how did you attach it to the bike

  • @LivinThatHighLife Some way to drive the wheel like a normal motorbike, but it is easier to make a friction drive on the tire, but that eat tires. Torque pulses might be a problem at low speed if a chain is used. The tire print looks like a dotted line when starting on gravel.

  • @LivinThatHighLife Yes. I moved the engine to the side and it started to eat inner tube. On one type of tire, small stones get pushed thru the tire and pungtured the innertube.

  • @LivinThatHighLife A v-belt pulley with extra set screws.

  • Ok, I have to know, where can I get one? Or find out how to make one?

  • lmao very bouncy...

  • One bounce every wheel rotation. The tire was not put on evenly.

  • how did you put that motor on that bike?>??

  • With screws. That it was on was too weak. Used a bike gear shifter for throttle.

  • I have moved the motor to the side. That needs less fixing, but the handlebars vibrate more and it does not work well in rain or on snow.

  • Hahaha great!!

  • how fast does it go when idling

  • 15km/h i thing. i have not tested it. It does not hav mouch torque with fullthrottle at 6km/h

  • brake fluid or water is your friend!!!

  • fascinating.
