Say what you will about my Chevy's I own three of them not one with less than 150k on the clocks. I love my trucks I take care of them, they get me where I need to be, They look their age, but being pretty isn't a big deal, what they can do is what means the most. If they could tell stories about what they've seen it would be a colorful past and they would tell you its going to be a bright future. Me personally I'll take my old Chevy's any day. Keep the bailout trucks give them to the yuppies.

@bobcats330 I have a 2008 silverado with 5.3 and it has 90,000 miles on it and at about 50,000 my forward sprag went out on my transmission and i lost 1 and 2 gear. you heard of that problem often or did i just had a bad transmission? other than that and the uncomfortable seats and horrible ride and if i rest my hand on the hood it flexes like crazy. sorry to say it but when i pay it off im going to trade it in for a Nissan Titan. I hate to say it but those nissans are nice

I have one from the 2 best eras of Chevy. 72 K20 4x4 from the epic 67-72 body styles and a 95 from the 88-98 body styles. I wouldn't mind a 80-85 Box style Silverado 4x4 from the 73-79 era. But I absolutely love both of my trucks. Chevy trucks are the best trucks, period.

It's hands down the best, I mean, look at the models after it. They all bear the looks of the 90s Silverado, even to this day. I had a '94 Silverado 1500 that ran perfectly even after 180,000 when I gave it up (grandfather bought it to be a service vehicle for his business). And damn do I want another ('96-'97 though) Silverado so bad!

Lol, I would agree by trying to look like a Titan, but also gotta looksie; the "stacked" headlights, the vertical taillights, the same style of bowtie grill, and the new models I'd say have the flared quarterpanels and fenders styled somewhat like the 73-87s.

Regardless, a Chevy truck is a Chevy truck; no matter how it looks you know all that matters is you have a dependable, long lasting vehicle.

I know, it's a shame. My '94 was a longbed, used to haul scrap metal, junk hot tub lids (these lids can be as big as 96x48"), and other crap no prob. Sure the truck looks a bit better proportioned but of course the whole practicality factor has been sadly reduced.
