  • Those kids have super human strength. Imagine if Tyson in his prime were hitting you in the head with a toy mallet.

  • I saw this at the drive in when I was 7 years old. Needless to say it left it's mark on me. I always called them cat kids because of how they sound.

  • plastic hammers really?

  • @CrawlingCoconut No. Wooden hammers.

  • These "kids" are not hman beings but the product of the rage of their maker, the father of Candy (the abducted girl)'s ex wife. This explain why they have more strenght than normal children, and why they look scary as shit. In the middle of the movie an autopsy is made on the corpse of one of those little freaks and it is discovered that they have no reproductive organs

  • I remember watching this on my psp and thinking how horrifying this scene was how the troll like killers just walk into the school kidnap the guys daughter and kill the teacher David cronenberg is a genius at horror.

  • so this is why i hate little kids

  • yeah run for your fuckin life !!! ooo ok you went for help... good kid

  • Seriously... they were flimsy blocks of wood on a stick. If they hit her hard even once the sticks would have broken apart.

  • @Terrakinetic The teacher must have put away the steak knives that day.

  • this shit wasnt even scary just beat they lil ass smh

  • Cheddar cheese

  • those are the ugliest kids iever seen

  • Wait, I'm confused. Why didn't those two offer them their own copy of the Tim and Eric Chrimbus Special, now available on DVD!

  • Honestly, I do appreciate Cronenberg and his marvelous works, but unless those kids had demon like strength, or that lady had the same disease as Sam Jackson in Unbreakable, this may have to be one of the stupidest death sequences I've seen. Was scary, until they "attacked" her and she awkwardly let them do it.

  • This scene is amazing and scary i mean i was even feeling a little nervous when

the children go inside the classroom true horror what ever happened to that???

  • Cronenberg was in a 'dark place' when he made this film - and it shows. Closer to the heart the darker the blood.

  • The scariest part was where the kid turned around and you see the face.

  • the dad is george michael?

  • ,,yes it was him before he got into music and turned gay.

  • I watched this film a few months ago and it scared the s**t out of me! Epic!

  • kenny no!!!

  • Someone should totally make a re-make of this movie. It would be epic.

  • @millert1409 NOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • @millert1409 no.

  • Fuck remakes. Get an imagination.

  • This is what happens when teachers don't have guns!

  • Now you see why abortion is still legal.

  • is the kid that ran out from the Shining?

  • Those things remind me of tellie tubbies

  • I find it surprising that they keep potentially lethal mallets around for the kids to play with.

  • Eeep, right in front of the kids. Cronenberg has no shame. That's why I love him.

  • When I see their snowsuit colours all I can think of is "Dumb and Dumber"

  • I don't complain about the killer kids, but the wooden hammers... LOL!

  • hammer time!

  • Toddler killers ftw!

  • Psychoplasmis' effects... how terrifying! I agreed that Cronenberg shouldn't use children as killers. Still, The Brood is one of the two most scary films of 1979... the other one was Alien.

  • am I the only one who find this scene hilarious?

  • i would have kicked their asses

  • Those little bastards someone better call super nanny

  • I like the kid who acts fast.

  • @Buckeyecat2002 You sir, obviously don't watch many horror movies, do you?

  • omg see this is why I don't trust little children xD

  • Whoa. Some little wooden hammers could do that..?! Good grief.

  • This movie was freaky to me when it first came out....

  • Attack of the Ice Climbers!

  • Lol @ the girl who just sits down at 2:23

  • rofl

    lmao

  • Not as scary as I thought but disturbing. i've never seen the film, so anyone knows why did this happen, I mean those kids are possessed or something?

  • @SuperRod88: Let's just say those ain't some ordinary "kids." You best just see the movie. Equally disturbing and gruesome.

  • @2bin alabama

  • A glimpse of the future. This is a common occurrence is schools nowadays...

  • One of the scariest movie moments ever.

  • i plant pumpkin seeds...with a wooden hammer

  • *wipes away tear.

    Gold.

  • She had it coming.

  • Wow. that's really sad. Not that the lady died, but the sounds those poor kids were making. D:

  • Absolutely amazing. Funny, another poster commented on the building and is right. The buildup is excellent. I think in the eighties they took their time and the payoff was great. All you new horror directors, give us back some of this magic please.

  • I meant to say build up and not "building" hee hee

  • little deformed killer children... this guy is a genius... really, this is one of those cases of "Better Than It Sounds" movies...

  • And that'll be a lifetime of therapy for all of you.

  • This is actually the cut R rated version of this scene. There is an unrated cut that shows a much longer, and profoundly more disturbing, shot of the dead teacher's face being cradled in the man's hands before he covers it.

  • yeah, the longer cut feels like five minutes long of endless, slow beating...with the children so helpless...very disturbing scene.

  • The thing that was most disturbing was the fact that a bunch of little kids witnessed this! And the build up... WOW! They dont make 'em like this anymore!

  • True horror, I mean in the middle of the day, a school filled with kids, the last scenario to think about horror and Cronenberg manages to deliver one of the most thrilling scenes in the movie. I think the house where they kill (SPOILERS) the girl's grandma was scarier, but this movie is truly horror.
