Another comment: You mentions how the Chinese calls our homeland. It would be fare for Uyghurs if you could mention how we Uyghurs call our homeland-East Turkistan.

Chinese Muslims are Tungans. Their language is Chinese, They have two names. One Chinese and one Arabic. They live in another province.

These are Uyghurs who feel insulted if they are called Chinese. Uyghurs we never see ourselves as CHinese, Chinese are Chinese, Uyghurs are Uyghurs.

I do not understand why do people always stick to the religin first when they indentify a nation.

Uyghurs had so many different religions in the past. Mulimness is not the only face of Uyghurs.

@Takkyatukka Salam, my brother. I'm a Tungan, you said Tungan are Chinese Muslims. I don't agree with you. For foreigner, Chinese always means Han, but Tungan are NOT Han. Yes, we speak Chinese, but we NEVER think we are Han. Han pigs killed a lot of Tungans in the history, we won't forget this.

A few Han people are muslims, they are the true Chinese Muslims.
