  • Personally I think this REALLY needed music in certain parts, especially since there's no dialogue, I hit that wall of awkwardness at the lack of sound in some parts.

The short was pretty good, I got the message but I don't know, I thought it needed more substance.

  • amazing.. ^_^

  • i do not get one bit :D

  • what song is that he was pleaying in the begginnig

  • Very Interesting!

  • this is sort of base on L'Elisir d'Amore by Gaetano Donizetti

  • what is the software that u r using for this animation

  • @moulanaaaa I belive all aniBOOM animators uses Flash... There should exist other softwares though

  • the creepy guy was like a mix of the joker and the penguin from batman

  • that wasn't even a Faustian deal with the devil, he paid for it immediately -

  • man, that devil is an asshole! he never lets u to read the whole deal!

  • confused

  • i think the moral of the story is not that he wants to be a great musician but he wants people to appreciate his music.

  • The idea is nice, but rly, how they express it is so shallow, rushing everything and make it incomprehensible. Just my opinion since i watch this movie twice a year already...

  • @tslv Ah, but it represents it perfectly that way. It shows that when you rush to fame you pay. Rather than building up a fan base, and people who like you for you rather than how famous you are, all you really get is profound loneliness.

  • man in hat was creep to the ee!!!!! am i the only one freaked out about those kind of puppet animtions? like carolie or nightmare before xmas.... those ppl in those stories are the creepiest just imagine you being in that kinda world where they look like that!!! thumbs up if u get me please!

  • Millenium earl?

  • dont drink random shit?

  • FREAKY

  • This video is pure symbolism. :)

  • It said LATER. Although the storyline was good and interesting i still didn't see the point because at first he did not get fame at all! he only played the voilin/guitar infront a bunch of nobodies which is exactly the same situation as in sqaure one. LOL

  • ...why is the millennium earl offering that old guy a drink? XD

  • The guy in the purple coat, doesn't he look like the same one from Cowboy Bebop? Or, is that just me?

  • Pause the Video And Press 3. Thumbs Up if you also think this Rich Guy is Creepy O_o

  • What is the piece from 1:29?

I can't read it in the bottom right corner.

  • All i can think about is courage the cowardly dog

  • Comment removed

  • i want that outragoues purple jacket

  • That guy in purple wit the black nails looks like a vampire!

  • I think Pirate Bones by Natasha Bedingfield would go great with this animation

  • too highbrow to be popular

  • Comment removed

  • is that me?

  • earl of the mellinium for the like

  • I am scared from the background O_O O_O

  • the point was: do not take drugs.

( you are who you are when you get it but then you wake up in filth)

    see in part 1:45 - 1:52

  • This reminds me of Corpse Bride.

  • the style of the old man looks like the characters in corpse bride

  • don't give in to temptation!

  • 0:54 O.o lmao

  • //_O i think the point iz dont take things from strangers lolz but great work aniBoom //_^

Cette animation à un point positif et négatif à la fois !!

Elle manque de paroles, mais fait qu'elle est universelle =) !

  • not really get the story . sorry :( but cool animation

  • liquid thc

  • woah represents illuminate good for sendin the truth the purple man saten

  • Makes sense? The sense is quite simple, a little bit too simple for my taste....

  • its polarizing the extremes its to much for a newmind

  • what a creepy fat dude.....

  • I am interested in discussing the possible inclusion of this and other shorts into my nationally syndicated tv show Sprockets and Splices w w w sprockets and splices dot com. or you can reach me at joel at morcaman dot com

  • MORAL LESSON/S:

    1. Do not drink.

    2. Or stop watching youtube.

  • To much symbolism :/

  • Too much avarice and you'll end up with nothing

  • its about how the devil can trick you...

    so be care full..

  • what the heck. it said LATER. LATER you will pay. not IMMEDIATELY.

  • @commentor123 what is later? One second from now will be later.

  • @Danmera hmmm. true.

  • @ThatRomanDude

    thanks for summing it up

  • Yeah its great.

Just depends on what costs you reach your goal...

  • Cool. Everything has its price. A great salesman will sell you your dreams.

  • it means he payed his life for nothing and he didnt win nothing

  • dude its victor from corps bride when he's old xD but you could of put sound in not a sigh anyone can tell his lips mouth A coin?

  • So he was alone and talentless on the start, and at the end he was alone and with talent, remember to always accept drinks from gray strangers on purple coats people.

  • I bet he can play the shit outa that violin now that there's nobody to distract him.

  • Animation had a few problems. Sounds and effects were a bigger issue though. My biggest peev was the violin motions not being in sync with the song.

  • His wish was to play the violin brilliantly. And he got his wish. But the price of his wish was a trick, because in exchange for his former life, he got his wish but nothing worthwhile to do with it. Like lots of folks who aspire to riches and fame; and they get these things, but do nothing worthwhile with them.

  • of course it makes sense. he drinks the potion to become great at the violin but then he pays as there is no one around to hear him.

  • the purple guy reminds me of the little wizard dude from zelda

  • really confusing

  • Comment removed

  • the point was being in the desert symbolizes being alone. money and power cant buy you friends.

  • @ThatRomanDude And supernatural skill does not guarantee you will get to entertain anyone.

  • @ThatRomanDude yes it can

  • @ThatRomanDude and who needs friends if u have money?

  • @ThatRomanDude but he was alone anyway..

  • @ThatRomanDude they can but not real ones

  • @ThatRomanDude

of course it cannot, I'd say evem more - your problems which don't concern money will persist untl you handle each one in part with its own approach.

but having money you can arrive to your problems in style =)

  • @ThatRomanDude Ahh..thanks!

  • @ThatRomanDude Does it also mean that you lost yourself due to fame?

  • @workh4rd everyone will interpret it different.

  • @ThatRomanDude He wasn't after friends, his dream was to have an audience to play in front of, to share his musical skill with, rather than the empty lifeless stage of a well he was at. When he was in his dream his clothes were still simple, still old, bald, thin, no women, no people beside him, only a proper violin and an audience for him to play to. You're right the desert means being alone, but it's in context that it is worse than where he started.

  • The point was that you can feel like you don't have any talent and all of your effort is useless. But someone offers you an easy way to your dream, your wish and you take it. But you didn't live the road to it, you didn't have to put in any effort and even though it's you dream, it was wasted because what matters is the road to it. Or, that's what it meant to me. :)

  • @akanamilas He was old, his violin unable to play a fine tune, do you think he just started that life one day? It's appropriate to consider him as having lived the 'road' for many years, every top 10 music chart modern performer is like this, live a long time with the skills, the desire, and one day a music contract lands in your lap. As far as I'm concerned, he's already put in the effort, to stick with it even though his tool is old and faulty, he continues playing.

  • I didn't get it o.o But the Purple man was Satan.. lol

  • for the people that say there is no story here i think its clear that cheating only helps u in the short run and if u do cheat you will end of in a worse of spot then u where in before

  • got it, the desert was the paying

  • Moral:

DON'T TAKE WINE FROM A MYSTERIOUS, FAT PURPLE MAN!

  • @Mikiplayer247 well, actualy hes white lol he has a purple suit tho

  • @STERENR K.

  • i wouldnt mind being alone if i could play the violin i own a vioin but dont know how to lay it and that makeme ad

  • it meens when you lived youre dream you have do ife the next one

  • goodthough

  • uh it freak me out that fat purple guy

  • There's no such thing as a free lunch. Or appetizer.

  • You have to THINK about the story. You're not always gonna understand the story when you first watch, listen, or read it.

  • @catdogfishy However, there's a difference between a story that provokes thought and one that is just not well told. This one borders rather on the latter.

  • :) like if you play the violin or viola!

  • This made sense, actually. It's about making deals with the "devil" and how they never pay.

  • what?

  • This is not weird! It definitely makes sense! You are poor and talented and some purple fat gay dude appears and gives you some potion and poof you became famous. You drink more and poof you are now in the desert! It totally makes sense, dude.

  • @BeyonceLoverNumber1 ur just a dumbass who does not understand symbolism

  • @TheCewlStuffy oh sorry, did I offend you? do you want to tell your mommy? jerk

  • @BeyonceLoverNumber1 ??????? u mad bro?

  • @TheCewlStuffy how am i a dumbs who doesn't understand symbolism?? tell me, how?

  • @BeyonceLoverNumber1 #1 your grammar and #2 making fun of something you don't understand

  • @TheCewlStuffy oh so out of all the 856 people who posted comments you pick to hate on me. smooth dude

  • @BeyonceLoverNumber1 ahahahahah he hates you out of everybody thumbs up 2 that guy

  • @lastcall150 ............................

  • @BeyonceLoverNumber1 So.. The Joker is even more evil than we anticipated! I get it!!

  • a tus sueños, vé poco a poco; este hombre está apurado pero no es ambicioso...

  • Alcohol is one hell of a drug

  • o 3o

  • hehe id hate 2 be him right now hehe XD

  • moraleja: no aceptar vino de personas extrañas, jejeje

  • che ci fà in questa animazione il "conte millennio " di D-Gray man???

  • Moral of the story.

You can never be to sure how long away later is

  • the moral is, fame is giving into the man, maaaaan! dont be a sellout pshaw!

lol, if fame is what keeps you going, then become famous. an artist is only alone if that is required for them to create. art is art, no matter what the motivation.

  • i think maybe the author is trying to say fame is short, stop chasing it blindly???

    Because in my understanding from the animation is after he drink that wine he will have fame, then later he need to pay for that, but after he drank it, and close his eye and enjoy his fame that is coming for a moment, then he pays(in the desert?). well...just my understanding though.....==;

  • Holy smoke! It's the Millenium Earl from D.Gray-man!

  • I tink he can play just like his dreams. All he has to do is tune the violin correctly

  • Illuminati.

  • I guess, like Sim said, the point was you get deserted. Pun?

  • ??

  • the audio isnt good at all

  • tim burton style man.... now, i'm going to watch corpse bride...

  • that show was telling the truse u will be alone

  • what? so he wins. he didn't have anything in the first place, now he does. win.

  • @nr1O29 actually yes he was alone and talentless at the begining and he end up alone and talented at the end lol anyway i love this animations.

  • ummmmmm... ok

  • this animation shows satan (man in the pink) offering riches and fame for your soul which is based on the bottle saying "but later you will pay !" as it means to sell your soul you sell your freedom. The artist (old man) gives in as he is in a time of poverty and wishs he was famous and well known, the glass with drink is to show that when you get a taste of fame and power you will want more,

  • @LONGHAIREDMEXICAN ....AGREE

  • Millennium Earl? Anyone...?

    Nice video too

  • der arme alte man :(

  • You Get Deserted !

  • well that was depressing

  • Behold the enemy of the york peppermint patty.

  • this is scary shit right here

  • The characters remind of The Nightmare Before Christmas.

  • YEAH...BEEN THERE

  • Don't do Drugs Kids

  • nothing is for free in this life

  • This film is fucking stupid. How is fame bad? You guys have been watching too many Disney movies/fairy tales. There's nothing wrong with fame. Look at all the celebrities living awesome lives. Theyre famous and rich. Fuck this bullshit video. It's so cliche. Can't you come up with your own original tale? Ugh.

  • @BoxxyFan Listen to Drowned World (Substitute for Love) from Madonna... that should give you a hint. You need to be able to see beyond the spotlight.

  • @BoxxyFan

I would love to see your work in animation, it must be amazing compared to the composition of this artwork, please do post a link.

  • the dangers of alcoholism suits better

  • Why is everyone saying Illuminati? I find it more Faustian than anything. God does no one read anymore?

  • AAAAAHHHH!! ILLUMINATI!!!!!!

  • you forgot to mention the illuminati

  • I don't get it, he drank it, but his dream didn't come true.

  • @Level84 it was concequence of his dream of fame.

  • is it me or is this total illuminati scenario?!

  • @itzirawrs anti illuminati, yes

  • ok seriously, your ford jeep compass is not genetically engineered, and it is defintely NOT breeding a new blood line

  • Eh.

I've always disliked slams on fame. There's nothing wrong with being well-known for doing something well. The problem is not to over-value fame, but to under-value other people.

  • was this drink making him hallucinate?
