I am a clogger and by looking at their performance they had ALOT of mistakes! i go to lachere vawdrey who was in the fab 5 seaon 5 of america's got talent they made it to the finals and i had alot more fun watching them.

@ind20000 Clogging shoes have a loose jingle tap, different moves, and originated in Wales and Appalachia. Tap dancing shoes have flat taps, is more downbeat and has African/native roots. But of course the clear thing they have in common between the two is that you're making noises with your feet :P

What's the difference between clogging and jumpstyle?

Clogging is an old form of folk dancing, with roots in Appalachia and, along with Irish and African American forms, was likely one of the influences on tap dancing. It emphasizes footwork and rhythm, often to old-time or bluegrass music. These guys are updating it, so you might watch some other videos (I like these guys, but they are less representative.) I know less about jumpstyle, but my understanding is that it is a relatively new club dance, with less precision or rhythm.

I should add that in clogging, there are multiple taps (usually 2) when the foot comes down. From what I have seen of jumpstyle, it is just jumping on different feet.

For all those debatin' whether this is more tap or more cloggin?? Well...I'd say it is definitely clogging. It is just a later version of clogging. The more traditional clogging style has evolved into a more modern clogging style. Both styles are equally impressive if performed right. and both take pure talent to put off. I love this performance.

USA clogging originated in appalachian region. i grew up in west virginia (only state completely within appalachian mountains). We had a blast doing this dance. cool how it led to creation of tap dance. And is being fused with modern music and stylistics!!!! LOVE IT!
