@GoFlamesGo100 Sounds like it would work to me. When i got a laptop to play this, i overdid it a little. Still, very good peice of machinery. I have all of my favourite steam games on here.

Some tactical tips:

1 Use cavalry only for attacking the routing units to prevent rallying, or militia or peasant levies. Attack stronger units in the rear, but only if the defender is also being attacked from the front by another unit. Be careful of pursuing too far.

2 Don't attack an equal army uphill. Try to attack a flank and push them that way. Manuver on the flanks.

3 Always try to engage the enemy in front and flank.

4 The AI commits cavalry too early. Save for the endgame

Tokugawa Ieyasu made tons of diplomatic work before this battle. Almost 70 percent of the Western Army betrayed or standed watching. That is why they lost a must win.

At the same time another 10000 men of Western Army were marching to the battle but they were too late. Tokugawa Hidetada's 40000 men (the main force of Tokugawa) were trapped by 3000 men of Sanada army. Uesugi's 40000 men at the north east didn't chase the Eastern Army from the back for some religion reason.

shogun is a incredibly amazingly made game (just needs a little better graphics). But it is so good because of it's realistic game play and historical accuracy. Though my suggestion would be that the next total war themes should be on there 3 historical wars

1. Three Kingdoms (China)

2. Asian Supremacy (asian countries battles for power)

3. Opium War (China vs 8 nation Army)

These three themes are amazing because it brings very famous and enjoyable historical battles, introducing Ancient China

@heerwa2 Explain to me how that would work, if you could? Total War is based on the idea of large blocks of men in formations fighting each other. WW2 was very different in the style of warfare and would be hard to portray accurately if you tried to construct a TW esque game.
