Sorry but you have one thing wrong. The FX-8150 is not the worlds first native 8 core CPU. Intel released that in March of 2010 on the server named Beckton, a 8 core CPU using HT. And technically Bulldozer is not 8 real cores, it has a module that has about 180% of 2 real cores.
I honestly really wanted AMD to blow Intel away. Not because I hate Intel, but bcuz they need some major competition. Which helps drive companies to innovate faster, smarter, and cheaper technologies.. AMD has lagged behind for far too long riding the "cheaper" train. And this was their shot to change all that, hell, thats exactly what they even said, "it'll blow everything else away" not just "blow". When I go build a gaming pc, or workstation, I want to be able to consider AMD. so get with it

Currently AMD and Microsoft are working on making a driver to fix this issue, which will make the Bulldozer compare to nearly i7 xtremes

Heavy research in the 990 chip boards have shown that their is a Bug in current Windows 7 operating systems caused by a driver. Their is in fact a group of researchers who have hacked into the mainframe of the W7 Bios and have altered it, in which the performance gain is literally 40-50%. Please do your research via google.

anyways, paper doesn't matter at all, what matters is real world uses. And currently, the only thing I can see this chip is good for (without some type of improvement) is possibly large servers that can use a lot of multi threaded apps, but I'm not even sure I'd choose this over an Opteron.
@DjAlyX1 oh and also, that was EXACT:Y what led to an even bigger disappointment; AMD saying it would wipe the floor with the 2600k, but in all honesty, it doesn't wipe the floor with even the 2500k. And you should be able to admit that. There are of course some areas where the 8150 does better, but the majority goes to the 2500k. So until AMD gets their head out of their asses, I'll stick with Intel. (unless I need a really cheap pc)

(cos before it was genuinely outperforming the 2600k) :L In time they'll right their wrong (I hope) cos reviving the FX name has taken the piss a bit :L

Linus did a 2500k vs 8150 lineup in current games, and the 8150 didn't outdo it in any way, actually lost by 8-20% at all times... But I hope AMD gets this fixed too
