Droopy seemed so out of character near the end.

Note the copyright is 1952 but 1943 is the actual release date. This was a reissue [in addition to those "Perspecta-Sound" TOm and Jerrys];also, note that despite the original film's "In Technicolor!!" notice, it hcnated to COLOR BY [caps intended for emphasis] Techniolor' wehich the lab had insisted on studios using as a credit. Otherwise the film is unaltered as far as I know.

If I were that wolf, the first thing I'd do after I breakout of jail would be to get rid of that prison outfit and change it for something more casual so that I wouldn't attract any unwanted attention. But there's no guarantee that would get Droopy off his back!
