  • Damn, I wish I could make the reunion show next month!! :(

    Michael Hannon effin rules!!

  • pretty underated song. Good shit, that tape im not gonna mail ya.....

  • These youngsters of today dont realize this: Hard ass kick ass rock and fucking roll. This is what it used to be like.

  • Congrats you've won the Worst Lyric of All-Time contest for the opening line of this song.

  • @sonsofthesportsguy and how many albums has your band sold

  • I bought this Cd in while stationed in Germany in 1990. We played it all the time. To bad the band did not carry on. Love every Song............

  • I just stumbled across this band at like 3am... and man.. im in love! fucking awesome music! thanks a million for the upload!

  • NEED TEH MP3!!!!!!

  • I love this band...we need more like them...WERE ARE THEY NOW???? \../

  • cool - never saw this back in the day - caught them once when they were touring with Company of Wolves - really liked them

  • yea salty dog rocks....if u can find this cd grab it asap...awesome

  • @easyryder1969 Amazon, it cost double what new ones today cost, but I just got my used one today, it's awesome!

  • Great rocker. These guys are as good as that other great band called the Kings Of The Sun with their tune ''Drop The Gun''

  • I Love this song! It reminds of the times I use to get along with my Ex-Wife. I told her to come along for the ride. 15 years later Her Lawyer Came Along. Never mind, I hate the song again.

  • @mrbug825 Learn to love it again, good thing's will happen to ya.So come along.

  • Absolutely a cool song!

  • Great fucking band. I saw them in 1988 on my 21st B-Day at The Bandstand in Anaheim, Ca. Had a table rite up front for the show, some guy came and kicked it with us for a while, bought me a few drinks for my B-Day then split. Turns out it was the guitar player Scott Lane but we didnt know it until they came out on stage! He even wished me a Happy 21st on stage, it was fucking awesome.

  • does anyone know of a guitar tab or video to play this song or solo I really like the solo

  • nice post.

  • I didn't know this video existed, thanks for posting it.Great album,I think they just came out a few years too late.

  • how can i find this cd?? been looking everywhere

  • @shelltrae not sure, but I know it's out there. I have it, but I think I've had it since the early 90's. Great album!

  • @shelltrae this album was re-issued this year - it is easily available on Amazon!!

  • Awesome song. Remember this from around the early 1990's--awesome!

  • I'm an 80's - 90's fan and this is one of my favorite 1-hit wonders. Good song, just didn't get alot of play.

  • This song is always on it is eaither Hair Nation or Boneyard, I cant remember

  • heard this song and bought the cd its actually a good cd

  • I added the lyrics here(remove the space): tunewiki .com/lyrics/salty-dog/come-along-s2645269.aspx#

  • I absolutely loved this band, and now I can't find a copy of the original recording they made anywhere on CD. I had it on cassette way back when.

  • what happen to the end of this song doesnt he scream "we're gonna leave your ass behind". I Have The Vinyl it's on that version??

  • Always liked this song with it's catchy beat then when it speds up abit it gets good. Sing it JB!!

  • These guys were gonna be the next Van Halen - what happened???

  • Guns n Roses were DA shit at the time. It is SAID that MTV had some kind of arrangement with GnR management to not allow any other band to steal their crowd, so they wouldnt air their videos or promote anything that had to do with Salty Dog or Dangerous Toys, for example. This is old school "sleaze metal", and that used to be GnR's niche. But thats only what I've heard.

  • @eandresc actaully mtv was very kind to Dangerous Toys..they even wound up going gold with that 1st record. I think what happened with this band is Geffen didn't believe in them and forgot about them after signing them

  • @buddyboy55

grunge (the whole lot of untalented bands) and mtv. when theres no marketing then your fucked. thats why hip hop is so popular. But get the new Ratt cd Infestation. Make yeah feel like your back in time If ACDC can not change why do Ratt have to

  • @buddyboy55 Certain things, certain bad things. But certain things.

  • This was one of my favorite albums back in the late 80's. Very underrated, should have been huge...

  • even take a bus if your car is broken , GO THE DOG !!!!! OH YEAH !!!

  • Wow! He turned into Mr Hankey the Christmas Poo at the end there! Hi-Di-Ho!

  • ill be your hot dog bun baby

  • Fuck this new music. The 80's baby. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO baby come along

  • 90's....

  • @Maharg23 There will never be another decade like the 80's as far as kick ass music is concerned.

  • @Maharg23 Actuaaaaaaally, it's a 90s debut album! But yeah, fuck the new shit, this was the thing!

  • @Maharg23 But this is from 1990.

  • @DoubleA9211 Thats being a little too technical . Still same genre.

  • SALTY DOG kicks +ss, They rock!! NEW ALBUM SOON?

  • I remember Riki Rachman when he hosted headbangers ball playing this.NOt that it's especially heavy but fun for the time.

  • if ya like this,,,try Krokus,,Stayed Awake All Night ;-))

  • the original Guns and Roses,,,lol

  • This is a great one from the past!!! Try EBAY for the album!!

  • got this cd....from so long ago.....got while i was in army......my hair was very short back in those days!!!!!

  • This used to be my favorite song! But didnt the song say..I'm gonna leave your ass behind. At the end?!

  • Just heard this song on the house of hair, 8/01/09, it freaking rocks! where the heck were they when I was making myself deaf back in the late70's and 80's?!

  • I would LOVE to get a copy of this cd...can't find it anywhere!

  • I have a copy of it! I love it!!

  • I checked amazon... "product discontinued by manufacturer"!? I wanna find too! Or MP3 please...!

  • saw the band in 1976 in Detroit at the West Side Six Bar.. They rocked the place.. My six buds that were there still talk of it as one of the best night of rock. Nice to see these viedos.. They did several zepplin songs at the time...Rock on

  • Yeah I'm sure they really rocked it in '76. lol

  • Hahahahahahahaha.... I was there dude... That was when they were opening for Buck Owens, and Roy Clark!! Back when they were doing their rock and roll version of "pickin' n' grinnin" and the rest of the Hee Haw favorites. I actually remember sitting in seat BR-549 right next to Jr. Samples and Grandpa!! Boy what a night to remember. Hahahahahahaha. Salty Dog had it going on in 1976 for sure... Guffaw, snort, giggle!!!!!!

  • A forgotten classic! It's just gritty rock! Oooh baby come along!!!!

  • Totally agreed but man, this vid is too QUIET!!! We need to bang this shit out big style and get fkn busy!!!

  • I saw them in the OC in the late 80's, early 90's along with Bang Tango. They broke up after only 1 disk due to LSD(Lead Singer Syndrome). I'll dig up the CD and post the band members. They were great live.

  • Where are they now?

  • I saw these guys at a club concert in Los Angeles in the late 80s. They were very entertaining. I wish they became famous.

  • Does anyone know the name of the guitarist and if he did anything else?

  • Pete Reeven

  • I agree with rockerwannabea ..... Every Dog Has It's Day is rock gold ..... unfortunately the timing was bad as by 1990 the market was flooded with this type of music. Had it been released in 86 or 87 I think it would have blown up huge.

  • hell yeah! the house of hair is playing this song rite now!!!

  • COOL SHIT!!!!

  • This song is the shit! I rocked along to this all throughout 1990.

  • great tune from a great band.

  • Who are these guys? ? ?

  • Thank you for posting this! These guys should have made it big. Every Dog Has Its Day is one of the best rock albums of all time. This is a GREAT song!!!!!!!

  • bad ass bass line Will say that. Led Zeppelin were a bunch of piece o' shit free lovin hippie homos Fuck Robert Plant and anyone like him

  • chill out all you lot geoff156 obviously lives with his mother and sucks her tit still that whole era was class from sleaze to thrash just good times and zep do rock to but not just them geoffy boy

  • All the Bands that never made it were better then Warrant in my opinion.

  • Makes me want to yell ZEEEEE Rooockkkk!!!!!

  • seems like some of the best bands, sea hags, rhino bucket, salty dog, never really never made it big, sad.....rock on!

  • Good gawd! I caught these guys live back in the day! One of the best live acts at the time. Straight up stripper music. Too bad they got a bum deal.

  • It doesn't matter does it?...this song KICKS ASS!!!

  • Better than G & R, don't ya think!!??

  • gREAT band and American Dog is ok.

  • It is what it is; an outdated hair band. I just wish i could find it on iTunes so i could love it in private and avoid the nasty comments. Cant help myself. LOVE it.

  • what nasty comments?

  • Well, I love this song, and I love Queensryche so what does that make me?

Lol. Honestly, it's all an opinion and insulting someone else's will never make them change it. Believe me.

Oh yeah, just thought I'd add: When you can't spell, or punctuate, or USE THE PROPER FORM OF "you're" then that already makes you seem like an idiot.

  • This is just a good ol slutty blues song! I love it!!

  • This was an underrated band and this album kicked ass.

  • ZombieLeroy

If you consider salty dog real music, I feel sorry for you. What you need to do is take down all of those pictures of LA guns Poison and EnufZnuf still on your wall in your parents basement, and Listen to some real music QRyche Dream Theater Lamb of God. Etc.

  • I've studied music in depth. I know what takes skill. And I have seen Queensryche and Lamb of God live, and I know that what they do (particularly queens) is not satisfying to me. So go watch them on youtube, and hold your tongue in the face of somebody else's musical choice

  • Geoff156

    suck a dick

salty dog kix off in queensryches ass

    what about led zepplin?

jimmi and robert have alot of simiarities in their voices... is led zep not good enough for u either?

so while he is gathering posters maybe u should get the dick out of ur ass and listen to a song for what it is and not for the band

  • brent-crack

you cant honestly be comparing this crap to led zeplin can you? if so your taste and knowledge in music is even worse than I thought it was. Go back to the TV and jerk off to rock of love some more. And if you can manage to pull your fingers out of your ass while doing so long enough, put in images and words or sacrament.

  • wow

that was very witty, brent-crack where do u come up with it

and im not the only one that has compared there voices...

not saying jimmi is as good and robert plant... but there are similarities...

and how can u say that my tatse is worse than u thought it was?

why were u thinkin of me before all this?

and before u say so i kno i mispell shit... dont use it as a comebak cuz its gay... not sayiung u have done it but it gets old

  • PS pete reveen should have been a guitar legend. Shame we lost him to the terrible Grunge wave. Bad timing...

  • This band sucks ass!!!

  • fuck you geoff! you wouldn't know music if it bit you in your hypocritical ass! why the hell are you watching if you're just going to make known your petulance? go back and listen to your rap or teeny-pop, whatever makes you happy, and leave salty dog for the real music lovers

  • lol are you serious? Salty dog is the same untalented Glam crap as poison and LA guns. King Diamond, Iron Maiden, Exciter, W.A.S.P, old slayer, Iced earth, Savatage, testament, now thats metal. Your a glam fag.

  • again....you watched this video because you WANT people to know you're a sad, lonely idiot who doesnt know what they're talking about?? Please be critical of your own genre and respect others' taste.

  • u think jimmi bleacher is untalented?

and ur right... its not metal

but dude... if ur gonna call a whole genre bad then ur a fucking loser

motley crue is glam.. u hate them?

and im all for hating a song or even a whole.. but ur just fucking sad if u hate on an entire genre...and if bleacher is untalented then i wanna hear u sing... or do anything half as taslented... write a song sing it and post it on youtube... then talk u fuking queer

  • queer? your the one who listens to faggot hairspray glam

  • i rember knac last day at 1:01 pm it shut off n went mexican

  • hey i remember this song from the KNAC days! good shit. it's been a long time!

  • KNAC?? Hey me too!! Broke my heart when that station went away. '96 I think.

  • Thanks for sharing the video!Every Dog Has Its Day is one the greatest "unknown" albums around...I know timing is critical for bands but this is one band that should've gone much farther than their debut!

  • loved this band when they came out and still love hearing the song COME ALONG!

  • Awesome album for those who like lost 80's

  • Simple song, fun to listen to!

The scene was changing before they could make any type of name for themselves. (everyone was starting to turn towards Alternative stuff)

Have you seen the bass player (Michael Hannon's) new band? - AMERICAN DOG

They are a bit grittier, and a little heavier...but very cool stuff! Look them up on YOUTUBE.

  • im so into music like this its so fun to listen to like i listen to rap a lot but this music tops it

  • great song, great band, i still have one of their posters i won from back in the day

  • Peter Reveen is one of the greatest guitar players I've ever seen in my life! Kinda like watching Hendrix.

  • I know Jimmy (lead singer) and I always joke w/ him how bad ass he looks back then Like he walked out of a coral and right onto stage. He is probably gonna read this and laugh but if you had long wild hair, tight black pants, and a guitar you owned women. Jim's voice rips this song apart too. -adam

  • I saw these guys perform in 1988--I think it was at the Palace (Hollywood). They were funny! I liked their concept: bluesy rock.

  • Sweet little she's my hot dog bun? Isn't that just sooooo creative?

Ya I had the CASETTE at one point.

  • Holy crap thanks for posting this! These guys were one of the best and most underated bands from the 80's. Saw them live and met them as well. Great band and great guys, a shame they didn't get the respect they deserved.

  • Thanks for this. Good times

  • 69>> the lead singer 1991--man Good times Bongs out bay bay!!

  • Killer tune, but he needs to get rid of that Milli Vanilli outfit he's wearing.

  • Their debut was a great album. What went wrong? What happened to the guitarist..a great player?

  • All the guitar players from the 90's?. Nothing happened but rap and other trends

  • I seen them at the Green Door back in 1989

    kick ass band?

  • Where can I find a copy of this tune!?!?!?

  • Got mine at a record store in 1990. Check e-bay!

  • Man what a Gem of a song Awesome on of the songs that I so wanted to see on here. Now just need to find Sister Whiskey "moonshine" and Hair of the dog "cadilac Jack". If anyone have seen it point me to it. And thanks for posting this KICK ASS tune.

  • friggin excellent !

  • I love Jackal!

  • What the hell does Salty Dog have to do with Jackal??? LOL

  • I was so hoping that someone would have this one! Thank you for posting!

  • i probably haven't heard this song for twenty years! itz totally fucking awesome!!

i used to party to this tape on auto-reverse for hours. thanx for having it

  • I have this whole album if anyone needs a fix.:)

  • DO IT! Please

  • the correct spelling is Michael Hannon!! Sorry Mike!! not one to throw stones!!

  • hey, the bass player for this band is Mike Hannah, he was in HillJack after this band and is now in the band "American Dog"!! Check them out, they will kick your A55!!

  • Anyone have the video for Lonesome Fool?

  • I don't think there is one.

  • Yes, indeed there is...I saw it on Headbangers Ball back in the day, and it used to be on Youtube....

  • Thats now your assignment.

  • I have the luck to work with the drummer of the band he is a fucking very good person, I actually expect in some way to see them playing back again.

  • Salty Dog=fucking awesome. Thanx for bringing them back to YouTube.

  • I need to get this tune. Any idea where I can get it???

  • get it on limewire

  • Awesome tune. Whats with the innuendo though?

  • DAMN!! This is awesome. I blew out 2 sets of car speakers and 3 ear drums blasting their music, and that's far from the truth. Salty Dog has to be cranked, it's just one of those things in life. Where can I find their music? I've searched napster and rhapsody with no luck.

    Any advice? Thanks!!

  • I doubt that you will find their music on any of those venues, as this album was released in 1990. And I never saw if they released a follow-up to their album Every Dog Has Its Day.

One more note. Their is one line of the song that did not make this video. At the end of the song on the album, you get the line "I'm gonna leave your a*# behind", with the "a*#" more like "aaaaaa*#". And I understand why that was cut out for radio play.

  • Thanks for the response. I can't believe their album is so hard to find. I don't think they had a follow-up album. If I find any source I'll post it here. Thanks again

  • I still have the cd. :D i still have all my nobody rock bands cd's from way back then. break them out and listen to them every once in awhile just to remind myself how much fun i used to have.

  • This is a fabulous song and it has stuck in my head since it came out; I thought they had a video for Lonesome fool too, but I cant find it :(

  • Yeah, there was a video for Lonesome Fool on youtube, but it got removed..no idea why. Shame, a fucking awesome tune

  • Oh Yeah!!! Thank you for posting. Great band. Pete was a killer guitar player and wow I wish I could still see Kurt play drums. This band had some great shows but their days ended way too early. I'm glad I have this record on vinyl.

  • Pete Reveen.....yeah he is a really good player.

  • Who is that guitar player? He's pretty damn good!

  • the guitar player is Pete Reveen I've recently seen him in a local Las Vegas band playing at a casino. The band is called Strange Brew

  • I used to Jam their songs with my band...come along...spoonful...etc..can't remember it...

  • Wow!!! It's my favouritez songz... Bro put it on Ares so i could own this video...do you hav the mp3 aswell...i begged u,put it in Ares!!

  • please post more if available/just like a woman is a classic

  • yep-- his prasing ont he vocals... so toke up

  • I can't believe this is on Youtube. I didnt think I'd find it. I have the cassette. I think they are out of Ohio.

  • that solo is bad-ass. very tasty for it's time. (note the pointy bass)

  • Lots of smokin weed.. LOVE thge phrasing of the lyrics here love them!!!

  • been looking for this vid for awhile ... thanks for posting it!!! :)

  • this guy's lower range was cool but when he gets up there he sounds like a sick/weak tom keifer. this song rocks though.

  • shit, hell, fuck.. it`s must have been 16 years since i got this cd,, Many very good song on this album :-)) ahhh, that where the days----
