Songs of loss typically include a person's emotions, what they would/could/want to do, and what they're doing. But few visualize the most vulnerable, pitiable states that a person can (and will) realistically sink to.
Not like Steven Wilson can, anyway. This moves me to tears.
@Radioswim Yep, it's such a melodic song with powerful lines. but you know, some dick will put a dislike one of these days ! anyway it's rare, for once, to see mature and hatred-free comments for a musical video. i've noticed that a lot with Wilson videos or even Porcupine Tree. ^^ it's great !
Absolutely magical! I heard lots of good music in my time - been listening and exploring for over 4 decades now, but Wilson is truely one of the greatest artists there are!
This song sums up exactly how I felt when my father died last year. He was everything to me. I didn't eat, hardly slept. I just locked the door and closed off the world and felt completely dead inside. Funny that one of the 2 people who helped me get back on my feet again was the person who introduced me to Steven Wilson's music.
