Tullus are a Kshatriya tribe from Punjab that settled in Karnataka, specifically along Mangalore and Konkan Coast some 700-800 years ago. A person's looks depend on GENETICS, NOT on culture. She is an IYER BRAHMIN...therefore she looks the way she does. She certainly does NOT look like a Mallu (or a Tamil). She looks about as Mallu, as Hema Malini (an Iyenger Brahmin) looks Tamil.

It makes a difference on their LOOKS. That is why Meenakshi Sheshadri, Hema Malini, Vidya Balan, Anita Ratnam and the rest look so different from most South Indians....and it is only the Iyenger and Iyer Brahmins who are vegetarians. The other brahmins in the south eat Fish....
