how long does it take 2 teach a budgie 2 talk, older budgies. how llong does it take 4 2 budgies 2 talk. also, can i ask, how do u keep it from flying around like crazy and get it back to its cage? need some tips before i do it please.

Good vid! It brings me 2-years back in time, as our own budgie (Babi) used to do that ALL the time when he was still very young. He has since become a very good speaker (in French and English) and I think that Peri will follow in his footsteps, as we can see that he is very keen on talking (and he sounds a lot like Babi too!)
babi is also a very good talker. peri has nightly talking times where he will sit in the corner of the cage or even on my shoulder and just go through all his words. my mother's bird, sunny, is also very good at talking, learning new words all the time. we really have to do a new video on him, but he's not as camera friendly, doesn't always do things on cue.
she's Gorgeous I think she's a girl because I used to keep budgies and i know that the boys beaks are blue and girls are brown, Is it girl or a boy? but I think girls dont talk.
you are correct, girls don't talk peri is a boy bird. Girl birds eventually have a brown crusty cere (about their beak, where they're breathing holes are) MOST of the time, boy's are blue. we have 2 males and 2 females. peri is the youngest male, fiona is the youngest female. tweedle dee (female) and tweedle dum (male) are the oldest we have about 1.5 years...

My blue Indian Ring neck does the same thing. I think he (Chalk) is just relaxed, just like you little Peridot.

really depends on the bird....you have to talk to it...and males talk and females usually don't so you may have a female.
