  • The English know how to teach the public and children about the meat they eat. In America, factory farms are kept a secret by the government and whistle blowers are threatened by stiff punishment. And here i thought America freed countries from dictators, i was wrong

  • I'm vegan but if people insist on eating eggs, they should take some hens. They don't need much room but remember they produce less if they get older. Still then they are useful to roam around on your ground and pick insects. At least try some vegetarian meat, I made hamburgers and they didn't even notice the difference. Mass-industry only cares for the big and easy earned money.

  • We talk about 'values' and 'morals 'but forget that it also means taking care for animals and not treat them worse than our products. We wash our cars weekly, paint our house, clean our furniture with care but treat animals as if they are less than our material products; we don't think about them, we deny the suffering, we don't take responsibility and this all for a piece of meat we actually don't need any more. But we are too weak and uncaring to stop eating meat or reduce it

  • I haven't eaten pork for a long time, and when I buy chicken, I always check for burn marks on it's ankles (they usually go through to the bone - and indicate intense suffering before it was slaughtered.

But let me ask everyone in north America this: do you think they have outhouses and handwash stations every 50 yards in those fields in Mexico and California?

With the way we produce food today, I am as afraid of produce as I am of meat.

  • And just so you fish eaters don;t get too comfortable, most fish is imported from China. If it is factory-farmed, the farms live 1/2 a mile downstream from each other, so all the fish swim in increasing amounts of crap. - if it claims to be ocean-caught or sole, or halibut, well, labeling requirements for fish are lax.
