im huge into rc and this is the best by far ive seen. incredible build. just cant handle the shelf queen part. unbelievable detail. just needs to be in mud up to the bumpers. awesome
Thanks, Mark. I am a TC SIG published member. An editor of RCCar Action did a feature on this rig a couple of years ago. Quite a thrill. I always enjoy your comments and input from the great white north.
Hi REKR, Mark (slimmy) here. Of course i have already seen your wrecker on TC but i just stumbled on your youtube movie. Great stuff and an awesome build. One of my all time favorites. I didn't know you were a published member. Are you on the published member SIG? On TC.
Thanks. The rear bed is scratch built from styrene sheet and tube stock. The boom does manually extend (3 sections) and is adjustable up or down. The rear winch can play out cable, but only manually.
The lighting was the biggest challenge, and the most rewarding. All operates on a simple 3V system built into the body.
Thanks. I appreciate the kind words. Although this truck is a bit of a shelf queen now, after the extensive chassis rework, it does run very nice with the new LRP ESC. I would like to add some live action in the future. This was my first YouTube experiment.
The current issue (July 2009) of RC Car Action has a full page feature of this truck with more detailed info. Quite a thrill to have them do a story on it.

Just fantastic work! I studied this one for a while when you posted it on Tamiya's Builders Showcase, would love to see video of it in action.
