It's called a lense flare. Bright lights do this and it mirrors the light, sometimes inverting it (upside down). Watch videos of bonfires at night or other sparklers in really pitch dark.
Its the light reflecting off the lenses and inner lenses, it moves that way whenever the camera jumps around, if the camera was still it wouldnt be moving at all. I get them all the time man.
That is really interesting... Im not feeling that it is a bug. It's flight and appearance is not like an insect. It's mysterious thats for sure... quite pretty too.

Glare of the firework onto the camera lens. Every time the "pixie or orb" moves, your camera moves. Notice that?

I'm seeing a moth with the firework reflecting off its body.

funny thing is, if you see it carefully you'll notice that the movement pattern duplicates the one of the fire...
funny also that it is the inverted version of it, just look... carefully...

Why, that there is the spirit of a Leprechuan! Poor thing, thought the firework was his pot o' gold.

It looks like a May Fly, which is usually white, however, it is reflecting the color of the flare, which makes it look green
rickierex 4 years ago
I looked up a cool Vodaphone commercial on YouTube that features a May Fly and it does fly in a similar way - vertically oriented.
