It's not an anime, its a OVA (Official Video Animation). Its a kind of supplemental material for a video game of the same name. Ar tonelico was a RPG released for the PS2 back in 2006 (maybe 7). Its a really good game, even if its rather easy.

I wouldn't judge it just cause of this, the game is really fun, and its not too hard to find a copy of. If you really wanna know, just look it up, its not that hard to google something for a plot synopsis.

First time when the Airship crashed to land. Then, when Lyner almost got the Purger Crystal. And then I don't remember...
