  • help i only have USD $25 to spend!!!!

  • ssd is great, true replacement of old era tech as hdd but why so fucking expencive? price is equal to my i7 and gtx570 dammit...

  • If I had the money, I would definitely buy this. Just because no noise sounds way better than brand new and still freaking loud desktop. Maybe I'll go look into hybrid drives...

  • everybody here is complaining about price!!!

    *including me... :P

  • @ifanf then go work at intel

  • Futuristic as fuck. Instead of chopping of your arm and trading it for one of these, wait about 10 years. I'm sure this kind of technology will be standard on every computer by then.

  • Incredible. But hat about price? In my local market SSD is 1200%, yes 1200 times costly than an HDD. How would you justify it?

  • @vjUmair it's because it's still an emerging technology :)

  • I agree with a lot of people on here the price is just to high for something thats not quit 100%.

  • Dear Santa!

  • SSDs will fall down in price in some time. I m still waiting :). Please reduce prices by half amount at least :P i would buy

  • on each seperate advantage, they just repeat themselves in the form of graphs, sharp edged shapes and a demonstration... what is the point, why not just tell us once? also, surely as it uses the same technology as flash drives (if i'm not mistaken?) won't it last a lot less longer than an ordinary hdd?

  • Unfortunately even the fancy figures dont justify its price I mean who the hell would spend this much just to boot up their windows 11sec faster, this really makes no sense

  • how many GB can i buy with 210 euros?

  • @MrJason005 probaly less then 100 those things aren't cheap

  • The presentation is clean, but this is Intel we're talking about. I'd expect better than the sort of stuff I'm seeing here. It's kind of corny, there's tons of text to read with little time to read it (even for a speed-reader like me), and repetitive sounds are kind of annoying.

I'd buy if I had the money.

  • I am really impressed by the presentation. Well done to whoever created this.

  • 80GB Vs 1.0TB.........MMmm....

  • 600000 hours? Isn't that like 60 years?

  • @samd5002 yes it's 68 years or 25,000 days of continuous use.

  • ~300 eur for 120gb drive, when you can get 750gb for around 80eur? thanks, I think i'll pass the huge advantage of loading windows faster(cannot care less about all the rest of "advantages" )

  • пускай интел встроит ssd прямо в cpu

  • too expensive sorry

  • i'd love to see a price comparison -___-

  • Great video. One suggestion: Make the text larger and easier to read in the future.

  • @RBLevin 720p full screen

    still not easy to read?

  • @falmatrix2r Better, but still could be better optimized for video.

  • price SSD 240GB €622 vs HDD 1.5 terabyte € 86,00= SSD epic fail

  • @41kilobite

You dont need to buy 240GB SSD, 60GB is enough just for OS.

  • @26psyside I want all the programs installed on my pc be fast and not just the OS

  • @41kilobite

The programs, are on the OS, what are you talking about?

  • Let me say: CONGRATULATIONS to the person(or team) which created this presentation, it's captivating, if the price of SSD's would be at most 150% of the conventional HDD, I would place an order right now, unfortunately the price does not really justify it's advantages.

  • @duminicad Also to add the vast difference in available memory sizes (with respect to the more popular sizes available as of today's technology)... 80GB SSD Vs 1TB HDD.

I wonder if anyone actually did a financial feasibility before commercializing this project. It's definitely not for Home Users, and such small memory size also limits it's application in commercial projects. Who would be their target market?

  • @asharkhaliq well.... I don't know exactly what's the real size of a(say) 40GB SSD, but it must be at least 80GB, the cells are "dying" so the SSD needs a special firmware that takes care of that, the problem with SSD's is that they are asking a fortune for it so that they can research more and provide a much cheaper and reliable[!] high performance HDD alternative, I can't afford losing data, so SSD's are out of the question, it's not mature enough!

  • @duminicad I agree.

  • Disadvantage to SSD's: They cost a fortune.

  • @dchains Though i have one =) (not an intel though)

  • @jackpotsvr Complete waste of money, in a year or two 500GB will cost the same as the one you bought now. You'll be kicking yourself then....

  • @mario11168 No, cause over 4 years you can buy one of 1-2 terrabyte thats even faster. Another 2 years later, the speed/capacity is doubled another time. 10 Years ago, we all had harddisks, that were terribly slow and also they didn't had 2TB, just 30GB. Technology keeps improving.

Also, if no one will be purchasing the SSDs now, they will go out of production, and there wouldn't even be better ones on the market in centurys. Though, i understand you, there are reason enough to buy one.

  • @dchains pshh not if you work at intel. its a different story

  • @tefrumpzax Oh man I forgot we all worked at intel.
