I have much more respect now for 8mm after seeing this and another 8mm footage posting. I live in Los Angeles and can tell you that between here and San Diego I have come across many, many 8mm cameras going for mere pennies in thrift stores, which 1) can't test them or 2) really don't know what it is. None I have ever seen in these stores will go over $20--if so, they are selling it as a "collectible" item. Thanks a million for posting.

is this 100asa reversal..what is interesting is the exposure accuracy for a wind up camera..i have a 16mm wind up and the exposure is terrible even on neg..
in stability terms as well this footage walks all over super 8.

I use a twenty year old Gossen Profisix for measuring the light. I prefer the feeling Standard 8mm give over Super8 film.
I own several 8mm and 16mm camera's. I never experienced exposure accurary problems. It must be a problem of that specific camera of your's.

I shot the 8mm film myself, and did the transfer at my own company as well. I used a MWA Flashscan8 for it.
