in asia, pale skin is a sign of wealth because that meant you didnt have to work out in the sun. big eyes are just a something very attractive to us asians (eyes are the windows to the soul!) and double eyelids and circle lenses just help with that process. its NOT to look white. if we wanted to look white, our noses and browbones and jaws would totally be different. and white people like tan skin...

i told my friend that asians like whiter skin because that's considered beautiful and she just went off on a rants aying that we shouldn't change ourselves and keep trying to be european. i got kinda pissed off. the reason whiter skin is considered beautiful is because in olden china people with whiter skin usually had a higher social status. they didn't get tan because they didn't have to work in the field. yet she assumed we were trying to be like them....
