Is it just me or has her singing gotten better and better since her early days with Moloko? I don't know if she's taken lessons or just she's developed it over time on her own. She used to sometimes talk-sing in this kind of nasally squeeky voice that I don't care for. She does less of that now which I appreciate.
@cloudbuster77 i completely agree with you. in the interviews from 2003, roisin used to say she was proud of her developement and that she had found "her voice". since then, her skills improved even more. although she never mentioned singing lessions, i'm pretty sure she took a few.
why does everyone want her to be mainstream? thats when most artist go to complete shit. She can be more original and creative as long as she is on the outskirts. and American mainstream should not set the bar for whats good music cause the states really have nothing to offer thats of any quality.
Is this from a DVD or something? If so, where can you get it?
She's amazing. And I'm still baffled as to why she hasn't made in into the mainstream! She can't even break into the top 20 but her music is so much better than practically ANY other pop out there! Well, so MUCH music out there!
She's a genius. Can't wait for her next album. So buying this song too...
Unfortunately, this was ripped from a live broadcast. Ripples was released as a b-side to If We're In Love, which is extremely hard to find. It's an amazing song.
I knew that Boris Johnson had made forays into fields tenuously related to politics, but this is the first time I've seen him moonlighting as a backing-trombonist. How does he find the time?
a complete mess-up with the microphones! there must be some fee to put up with it

100% Truth.. Perhaps she hasnt made it mainstream because she wont take her clothes off and expose her ass cheeks like Gaga

It was recorded for online broadcasting, only the website broadcasting this has quit a while ago. This performance was in the summer of 2005.

I love the part when she repeats, synchronising to the echo, "butterfly beats, butterfly beats, butterfly, butterfly, butterfly...".
Can you upload somewhere uncompressed videos or Roisin?

For a minute, I thought this was going to be a cover of Genesis' 'Ripples', from 'A Trick of the Tail'.
That would've been real trippy.
This is a great song.

anyone know if that's victor wooten on bass and futureman on percussion?

Hehe, that's Carlos Edwards on percussion. I don't know who the bassist is but he isn't Victor Wooten, although they do share hairstyles.

EXCELLENT! I really think this B-Side should've made the final album cut. It's infectious.
