I've lost count of the number of great U.S. bands and songs from this era that I've discovered in the last couple of years. Got the Internet to thank for that. This is such a good listen!
My fave Prunes tune. Along with Friday on My Mind, I Can See For Miles, Hot Smoke & Sassafras, Over Under Sideways Down, and a few others, I wore out numerous copies of the 45,lol.
I'm 52 and nothing has ever replaced this as my favourite tune since I bought it when it first came out having walked to school all week to save the bus fare to buy it! A truly great sound. Many thanks for posting this.
Nearly all my favourite tunes over the years are ones that either weren't hits or missed out on the Top 30. If people would scan more in that direction they may just discover some classic gems, just like the excellent Electric Prunes!
I was in college when this came out. It's my second favorite Electric Prunes song (After "I Had Too Much To Dream ( Last Night)". I'm glad they've reformed after a
@fallopiazo Really? So if I dig , I'll find bands as good as The Doors, The Stooges, early Stones, Robert Johnson, Janis Joplin, The Pistols, The Clash, Sam and Dave, Nirvana, Sonics, Syd Barret ... - they are all just hiding! I have my hand on the pulse of the 'underground' and my diagnoses - Music is sick mate and we better find a cure.
Excellent song and video.A Psychedelic Classic from the sixties, the Electric Prunes sure had a fine selection of tunes! If the child did make it,it would be born into a world of Rising gun and knife crime, rising oil and food prices, the credit crunch, the war on terror, corrupt Politicians taxing the public to the hilt...apart from that everything is Hunky Dory! Forget to mention; Climate Change and the Big Brother Surveillance Society!
sound and vinyl spinner is top notch! But the featus-footage not cool.. won't post this on my twitter!

Never remember this song during the 60's but heard it on one of the various Nuggets CD's that came out in the 80's and it is flat out great.
