I found the 5 characters references to asimov (Elijah Baley, R. Daneel Olivaw, Giskard Reventlov, Powell and Donovan), though I'm not sure about the planet references. I guess they're Cronar and Talidia, though I don't remember those names from any Asimov book I read, but I still have to read the Fundation cycle.
@MPfist0 BEAUTIFUL. One of the planet references was to Trantor ("Trantor Temporal Academy" which supplies the cadets). I honestly can't remember what the 7th reference I was referring to. Can't even remember if it was a planet or another character. :) I think it's best to read the Robot Series before Foundation, so you should be in good shape. I liked the Foundation Series, but prefer the Robot Series. Enjoy.
@ancientbricks I've read the robot series and now I'm in the Empire cycle. I should have paid more attention. I was kind of expecting a trantor reference, though I didn't see or hear it anywhere in the movie. Is it at the beginning?
And yes, the robot series is my favourite series for now, although my favourite book is "The currents of space".
Any action before 11:23 ran the risk of him being spotted by the ship's crew, apprehended and questioned about how he got there and what he was doing.
We live on opposite sides of the Atlantic, if that answers your question. :) PWC did the 33rd century ship and its interior shots. I did the 27th century scenes.
no problem. I used a QCPro 9000. I'm not sure what digital camera PWC used. I used my old Hi-8 camcorder for the live action credits and pencil marking shot, and the poor quality shows. :)
It varies. my walk is 10FPS, PWC's is 12.5 [in this film], most other movements are 15FPS, unless we didn't take enough frames, in which case we slowed it down to even 5FPS in a very few places to keep motions from being too fast.

you and PWC did a great job with this project. Did both of you build everything or did one person do the building and the other did the animation

Nice, I like the story. It reminds me of this old movie I watched the other day. By the way what frame rate do you use?

Also, what camera did you use? Sorry for so many questions I just really like this film.
