  • FLOOOVDE!

  • "If I love you, I love you. But if I hate you..."

  • I L-O-V-E when Lee references older movies. Scorsese does a great job of it too!

  • "it's LOVE that won!"

  • The weird thing is... The NIght of the Hunter is speaking ebonics....... ebonics is the african tone and sounding of english from a southern upcoming, only to blend and change time and time on. I was more shocked of him sounded black than the similarities xD

  • @massiahmassiah7

That is the most idiotic thing I've heard in quite a long time. Thanks for a laugh!

  • Mitchum is menacing, Nunn's version is like stand-up comedy that doesn't make you laugh.

  • @selish77 How is the phrase "Hot dog! Love'sa winnin'!" menacing?

  • @selish77

    So true... Mitchum was great...

  • why cant movies be like this anymore!

  • asd man!!

  • this was a bonus question in one of my lectures at Texas Tech University. thanks!

  • lol are you in my class?!

  • Nice post! Thanks for linking them together.

  • I just realized the connection before I even seen this clip last week. It's crazy because I thought I was the only one who notice the connection between this and night of the hunter.

  • The weirdest thing is I rented both these videos tonight never seeing them and had no idea about the relationship between them. I was very shocked to see the coincedence that I had done that. Weirded me out

  • What's the difference?when Charles Manson tells it?It's about the same thing.

  • lolzz

  • In the DVD commentary, Spike Lee acknowledges the similarities, and says that he meant it as an homage to Mitchum and Night of the Hunter. Great scene either way.

  • *three thumbs up* sit and spin.
