I understand your hypothesis, perfectly. You clearly said.."Tobi is a clone of Madara, in a White Zetsu's body" to which I told you. Zetsu creates a perfect chakra/appearance clone of the person he's copying. This was shown when the Kisame clone fought Killer Bee. Zetsu looked exactly like Kisame, but it wasn't him.
If Tobi were simply a clone, then why would he need to wear a mask? He should look exactly like Madara. The mask is a clear indication that he's hiding something.
Kisame is a prime example here. Zetsu created a body double of the real Kisame and even maintained his actual appearance. If Zetsu performed this same method on Madara, then Tobi SHOULD look exactly like him.
So, why would he need to wear a mask, if Tobi were a carbon copy of Madara? As logic would have it, it's simple. Tobi hides his face, because he is NOT Madara Uchiha and doesn't want people to know that.
And again, even IF Izuna really did die, Madara could've used RINNE TENSEI to bring him back to life. You're acting as if he can't come back. Madara himself even refers to this person, as if he were someone completely different. And if Tobi were merely a Zetsu clone of the real Madara, then why would he need to conceal his face?
Zetsu copies the person down to their appearance and chakra. There would be no need to wear a mask, if Zetsu had anything to do with this.

Someone is lying, and someone is telling the truth. It's as simple as that. Tobi is a pathological liar. He'd only tell Sasuke what he wants to hear. I can't believe you're going to buy his story, when the guy has lied over and over again.
What proof do you have that he DOESN'T have his MS? If you've noticed, whenever Tobi executes his Space/Time Migration technique, it NEVER shows the design of his Sharingan. We see nothing but the right eye hole and the swirl/vortex of the jutsu.
I think it's pretty obvious that it's a Mangekyo technique, because a normal Sharingan doesn't have any particular maneuvers. You remember Shisui's mind controlling jutsu, right? THAT was his Mangekyo's unique ability.
Again, Izuna being dead is based on Tobi's version of the story. And even if he did die, you do realize that there's still a strong possibility for him to have been revived? Let's not forget that Madara eventually awakened the Rinnegan.
He could've used.."Rinne Tensei" to bring him back. Madara could've if he had wanted to. It all depends if Kishi wants a scenario like that to happen. But if he went with it, it'd work out perfectly.
A flashback isn't always true. The flashback you're referring to, is based on Tobi's point of view. Should we say that Itachi's version is the truth? After all, based on what he showed Sasuke, it depicts Madara plucking out Izuna's eyes. But Tobi claims that Izuna willingly gave him the eyes, to which it shows him happily offering them up.
All you had to say was that it was your hypothesis. You just flat out said that Tobi was a clone of Madara and that Izuna is dead.

Izuna is Tobi but his body is a CLONE make sense! He needs the 10 tailed beast to be complete again! Precious little has been revealed about what happened to Izuna, so there are many possibilities as to how he may have survived having his eyes taken. Why doesn't Tobi appear to have any mangekyou jutsu, only Kishi knows for sure. My guess is there'd have to be some kind of damage sustained that means he can no longer use MS.
If you have a different theory of who is truly behind the mask, I'm all ears.

I'm curious why the revelation of Madara's rinnegan ended your theory of Izuna being Tobi. As I understood it Madara's rinnegan was something he awakened before his death, something he presumably needed Hashirama's cells/powers for (2 halves of So6P's power etc). I thought Izuna or who ever his accomplice was helped him implant Hashirama's cells, considering his injuries from their VotE battle and all.

I understand your hypothesis, perfectly. You clearly said.."Tobi is a clone of Madara, in a White Zetsu's body" to which I told you. Zetsu creates a perfect chakra/appearance clone of the person he's copying. This was shown when the Kisame clone fought Killer Bee. Zetsu looked exactly like Kisame, but it wasn't him.
If Tobi were simply a clone, then why would he need to wear a mask? He should look exactly like Madara. The mask is a clear indication that he's hiding something.

Kisame is a prime example here. Zetsu created a body double of the real Kisame and even maintained his actual appearance. If Zetsu performed this same method on Madara, then Tobi SHOULD look exactly like him.
So, why would he need to wear a mask, if Tobi were a carbon copy of Madara? As logic would have it, it's simple. Tobi hides his face, because he is NOT Madara Uchiha and doesn't want people to know that.

Zetsu copies the person down to their appearance and chakra. There would be no need to wear a mask, if Zetsu had anything to do with this.

What proof do you have that he DOESN'T have his MS? If you've noticed, whenever Tobi executes his Space/Time Migration technique, it NEVER shows the design of his Sharingan. We see nothing but the right eye hole and the swirl/vortex of the jutsu.
I think it's pretty obvious that it's a Mangekyo technique, because a normal Sharingan doesn't have any particular maneuvers. You remember Shisui's mind controlling jutsu, right? THAT was his Mangekyo's unique ability.

Again, Izuna being dead is based on Tobi's version of the story. And even if he did die, you do realize that there's still a strong possibility for him to have been revived? Let's not forget that Madara eventually awakened the Rinnegan.
He could've used.."Rinne Tensei" to bring him back. Madara could've if he had wanted to. It all depends if Kishi wants a scenario like that to happen. But if he went with it, it'd work out perfectly.

A flashback isn't always true. The flashback you're referring to, is based on Tobi's point of view. Should we say that Itachi's version is the truth? After all, based on what he showed Sasuke, it depicts Madara plucking out Izuna's eyes. But Tobi claims that Izuna willingly gave him the eyes, to which it shows him happily offering them up.
All you had to say was that it was your hypothesis. You just flat out said that Tobi was a clone of Madara and that Izuna is dead.

Izuna is Tobi but his body is a CLONE make sense! He needs the 10 tailed beast to be complete again! Nagato was suppose to help Tobi revive Madara but Naruto convince him about his plans, then he use the Gedo Jutsu to revive the leaf village this is why Tobi was pissed of at him and Konan! @noobzezima Clearly it's just a theory at this point that Izuna is the man behind the mask. Precious little has been revealed about what happened to Izuna, so there are many possibilities as to how he may have survived having his eyes taken. Why doesn't Tobi appear to have any mangekyou jutsu, only Kishi knows for sure. My guess is there'd have to be some kind of damage sustained that means he can no longer use MS.
If you have a different theory of who is truly behind the mask, I'm all ears.

Tobi could very well be some character that hasn't yet been revealed but has connections to existing. If anything I reckon that's more likely than Izuna because Kishi likes to lead us in one direction, only to set us up for a surprise.

I'm curious why the revelation of Madara's rinnegan ended your theory of Izuna being Tobi. As I understood it Madara's rinnegan was something he awakened before his death, something he presumably needed Hashirama's cells/powers for (2 halves of So6P's power etc). I thought Izuna or who ever his accomplice was helped him implant Hashirama's cells, considering his injuries from their VotE battle and all.
