  • Nothing can exist without water not any more. bacteria which feed son arsenic ( Very toxic gas that kills life around it).

  • why does it matter if theres other life out there? we will just try to kill them. they probly dont wanna bug us cause they know we will start a war. i cant blame them.

  • I think it's a tiny bit close-minded to say that the only possible chance of life is with the presence of water. Maybe they should say "No liquid water, no life (as we know it to be)"

  • @soundslikeabiscuit Agree.. does life have to be organic.. :) i mean what do we know.. we cant even imagine how life on other planets would look like if they were organic..:P

  • no water=no life

  • @MegaMegaTim That's just not even true. Just because that's how it evolved on Earth doesn't mean that's how it has to be in the whole universe. There might be life out there that we wouldn't even recognize as life.

  • maybe life on other planets is different from

earth life maybe if your from mars you dont need water or air to live!

  • I'm sure that theres live somewhere out there c'mon there are like a million planets so it's impossible that we are the only living beings or life on those planets so yes i do believe in aliens

  • Aliens aren't real, they mustve been alive like a million years ago, if they are alive why didn't Nasa do anything or send any shuttle on mars with a person who is willing to give his life to see if there really is life

THESE ARE JUST DRAMAS, UFOS and stuff are all fake, one day the americans themselves will make these saucers and fly them to destroy some countrys and say that they are aliens

  • @kesthul Derp, alien have been proven. Bacteria is a form of life and they found really weird once out of space. Search it and you will find it.

  • @kesthul You are a fucking idiot. i feel incredibly stupid from reading what you have just said.

  • @XzMyersX Fuck you popo

  • Maybe we are a tincy universe in the galaxy and no alien has any idea were here and they're are trying to look for life on the're planet too!

  • Well, that water is absolutely required is by now a shaky concept.

  • I'm thinking this for..years

IF aliens have special abilities then we shall have at least one too.I think its SUPERINTELLIGENCE.Yeah.If aliens are intelligent enough they will send someone here, and will think they need to see this planet's government first.

I also think we are the only living being who has the guts exploring space :D

  • i think and feel that mars used to have life , like a 100000000000000 years ago , and something tragicly happen . :/

  • @allaboutnessa and what happened to them will also happen to us ;(

  • @bestinmathagent yea bt it doesnt have to be like that , we just gottah live life (:

  • who knows though maybe WE were martians in some almost impossible way

  • what if alien cant drink water? what if they dont need to breathe? what if aliens actually dont need anything?

  • @themasterofalllegos lol like jellyfish :P

  • @Geekiweekly NO LIKE SQUIRTLE!

  • @themasterofalllegos omfg lol!

  • ppl get over it ther is life out there in space come on you kno how many other galahies there are that we dont kno yetttt nd how many othr solar systems !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • And they know than an alien would need water HOW?

I think that they could be on any planet, not just earth-like ones.

Just like we are fit to liveon Earth, others could survive on Jupiter.

  • @twibkidx Because all searches, until now, have proven that water was essential to life. May be there could exist different kinds of rules to life, but according to those we possess at the moment, water is the first thing that scientists will look for if they want to hope for life anywhere else than on earth. ;)

  • @MeegzIsCool thts a theory not fact

  • @AlexRmex

    True,

But those who persue theories discover new facts. Unlike those who takes facts for granted who see it as a moderate principle without the ambition to challenge facts.

    Those people discover nothing.

In one way its a problem. Your acting adroit on someone that is supposed to be more eager to challenge theories then yourself. The first thing you should do is give such people space.

Its the same reason and attitude why any country hasnt made any discoveries yet. We dont give them

  • @Armigo91 i see your point.

  • space and our bureaucratic fact based system isnt really inviting such people in the environment they liked to work for.

The least you should do is acting adroit on the subject. You just read A,B,C,D,E,1,2,3, when the book says so.

Leave thinking to others, your not good at it.

  • @Armigo91 STFU id believe the world going to end. It could be a start of a new era.

  • but if there are aliens .. they might need a different substance ..

  • actually, we are not alone. we came from a planet over said to be 45, trillion ligh years away. It got hit by a meteor and was tore apart. peaces of that planet spread across the multi vers parts hit other planets and formed life, but one. hit mars. as we started to live there, we got hit again and one peace of rock hit the blue planet or earth as we know it. thus starting life here. but what you dont know is how i know. as i will not tell you. you are not inportant in life. russa is.

  • @zilla1997rocksXD because there tring to save are planet now by making a nuke to launch at that meteor to blow it to bits. and 2012 will not happen. all that is new is the clander is being reset. and also it is inpossible for us to be the only living things out there. did you ever think that? how did egypt know about modern cars and planes? time travel? no. they new because. actually its not your right to know as i will be put in jail for saying it.

by the way, this is all true.

  • @zilla1997rocksXD Its not the end of the calender, there's a mechanism in the Mayan calender, its a new beginning, not an end. And no, we might be alone in our galaxy, but not in our universe. thats just a fact, but it could be too far away too discover by our humanbeing

  • why can't we just find someone who is willing to give their life for the sake of science, put them in a shuttle/rocket, and launch them on a straight path into space never to return again. we can monitor them and their surroundings through video/radio until they have gone too far for us to maintain signal (maybe by that time, we'd have gone deep enough to find something (advanced).

  • @WatsupBroh even if it's the person's will to do this, some people are just too attached to ethics/morality (even if we have to sacrifice one person in the name of the human race) to just let this happen. But I guess excessive sentimentalism is just one of the many things that are holding us back.

  • @WatsupBroh or, put a unmanned shuttle into space and record everything that it goes past

(already happened, voyagers 1 and 2, launched in the 70s bu the u.s) :P

  • @WatsupBroh wud be good, BUT :(

Probs wud run out of food or go insane inside a small pod for so long

the closest star is like 5million lightyears away, so if he even traveled at the speed of light it wud take 5 years, which is impossible, even if he god close to it the G-Force wud probs kill him.

SO.... the only hope is time travel and teleportation.... which is farfetched tbh :/

  • @Geekiweekly then how come sack boy in little big planet does go insane O.o

  • @mouseshut lol!

Oh and a correction to the 5 years, i was meant to say 5 million years, haha so the travelers wouldn't live to see the new planet like 4 million generations later will.

.....wormholes are our only hope, which is possible, but i doubt we will have the technology any tme soon

  • @WatsupBroh oh i got a idea call an emo and a smart emo he may go since he hates life

  • @WatsupBroh I know some people I want to launch into space hahaha.

  • @WatsupBroh lol I'd probably be willing to do that, I love space xD

  • @WatsupBroh Great idea! We all volunteer you.

  • @WatsupBroh Just send a suicide bomber, I'm sure he be willing to just bomb space or just scan...

  • @WatsupBroh that would be a waste of life. how would they travel. they wouldnt last even 2 days

  • @WatsupBroh yes....lets send a hobo....noone cares about them...

  • @WatsupBroh I was thinking the smae ting

  • @WatsupBroh We have already kinda done that, we lost contact with the voyager space probe recently, it is the furthest man made object away from earth.

  • @WatsupBroh Why dont you do it then?

  • @WatsupBroh I would do it. In a heartbeat.

  • @WatsupBroh cya later then.. why dont u do it

  • No life without water? Rubbish! Does God, or the Divine Source, require water in order to exist? No. The Divine Source created all that exists, and therefore must have existed before water.

  • @farbeyondtime NO! There never have been, and never will be, a Divine God. It's just a faith and a belief that a guy made up thousands of years ago because he couldn't believe the fact that humans control their selves and everything that happens on earth is human-made, not some God trying to test us all. What if it's "Satan" that is the good guy? He just sits there, warm and cozy and watches us, while it is the very God you say is good, that is sending plagues, tormenting and testing us

  • @TheZurzum1337 lol

  • @farbeyondtime obvious troll is obvious

  • no life in this dimension. I think ,we were banished to live alone, hence we haven't seen aliens yet.

we have to move thru to another dimension to see all the Others everywhere. Maybe we are OUTSIDE the real Garden of Eden dimension!

  • There are few millions of people that have met with extra terrestrial life at this point in time. Still NASA and other government affiliated organizations still deny it. Even mentioning extra terrestrials has been made out to be childish and socially awkward.

For how long are we going to be banging our heads to the wall, for how long will the truth about ourselves and the world around us, be kept from the public? I believe that this huge lie, that "we do not know" is coming to an end.

  • @zooologist Bullshit. There is no reason for them to hide it, none at all. How do you explain an Alien lifeform managing to make its way to our planet anyway?

  • I bet there was another planet with life on it before, and it was studying Earth like we are doing to Mars. After a few million years that species died out and we started developing. So I also bet that after our species has died, Mars might start having life.

  • just ship some water to mars and wait for another million years. for sure there will be life

  • I completely agree with recaroloke.

Oxygen and Water are needed by earthlings to survive.Aliens may have a different anatomy and structure with which they may not need the same components as us.

  • we did not come from mars we came from Jupiter duh.

  • Comment removed

  • hey guys im from mars i was born there lol

  • what if we are the life somewhere out there and someone who was here b4 us is now questioning the same but then again it's an if question :P

  • @OooGodOfWarooO Of course, I beleave every planet had life on it. Dinosaurs came before us. They are longer no exist now. Their is a fish that apparently live a million year ago and it still alive today.

  • Are we alone in the solar system? - most likely.

Are we alone in the universe? - how the fuck are we supposed to know that?

  • Okay the red shirt guy is annoying. Did God tell him no liquid water no life??!!

  • Ok NASA is rubbish, for sixty years they have found no life on other planets. That is just shameful (and they spend Billions a yeah psssh!!!).

  • If there life on earth...Thats the proof of life is somewhere else in this universe.

  • maybe we all should realize God does excist

  • @pcrvg0808 exist and no a higher power isn't needed

  • @Motherlandpluto Excuse my poor english . I,m Dutch , i know it should not be an excuse.......

  • @pcrvg0808 or maybe we could all have our own opinions? that would be weird...

  • @MrNattyful Well we all could realize , and still make up your own oppinion .

  • @pcrvg0808 whatever i think we are allowed to believe in what we want

  • @MrNattyful I`m all for it , my dear fellow human being !

  • @pcrvg0808 indeed :)

  • this guy reminds me of allen of two and a half men :P

  • Well, there are the tall Greys and the short Greys along with the Nordic types. The freakiest are the short squat, muscular BLUE guys. They can't be Navii, so wonder where they came from.

Do a search for Hubble Deep Field. In a back spot of sky, the size of the head of a pin at arms length, Hubble found thousands of Galaxies that each have billions of stars. THAT many possibilities for life make the possibility of life EVERYWHERE, very likely. N ever A S traight A nser is lying to us.

  • This guy should be a comedian not a scientist LOL

Plasma life forms google that No water needed

At least some scientists think outside the box

  • somebody needs to go up there and dig. who knows. maybe there were dinosaurs on mars too.

  • the aliens on mars, demons, cannot be seen because they are in another dimension

  • Life on Mars never existed. I know.

  • @Corvard how come??... is it cause u r from there?

  • FUCK THAT GUY IN THE PINK SHIRT IS ANNOYING

  • Hmm....

Microbial life does not need to breathe.

Plants and vegetation also need not breathe oxygen.

Why need there be then some kind of life-form which breathes purely oxygen or needs water in order to survive?

  • there is life in whole universe... Gliza 581 G there its life (possyble) and in mars it was life (80%)

  • Look if the find out that there is life on Mars pack up your stuff and get into a rocket before the world would ever end, I am not arguing with that.

  • That guy in the pink shirt is like a cartoon character! he's awesome!

  • I think life elsewhere would be the same organic matter as on earth.. We're all made up of space shit. Another planet would need the perfect amount of water, oxygen, air and the right temperature for life to exist. Wow we're perfect. I do respect the fact that we can imagine there is an undiscovered universe that holds a different kind of being, but I think it's all the same. I mean what else can there be other than collapsing red hyper giants, black holes, gamma rays and on and on. Wonder on!!

  • @TR0PICALST0RM ...I think there would be a difference in intelligence though.

  • woow ....

  • everyone say if theres H2O or Oxygen there's life....well yes maybe only on Earth and in other life planet, the aliens are probably living on Helium or others gases

  • There's life in my pants.

  • @MrHeadlessmusician yeah, germs <.<

  • I do believe there are aliens because they talk about them in the bible, and my family is very religous.

  • F5 will reload page and skip ads.

  • I do agree with all those saying: "H2O is the basis for all life, No water no Life !" its just as stupid as saying that: "Paper is the basis for all books, No paper no books". The same holds true for the believe that in + 50C no life can survive, also not true !. Look at the bottom of the oceans... where you find hot-spots of 300C full of life.

  • As far as you know...

How can you say that water is the key for intelligent "things" out there?

Maybe they are among us but we can not see/ detect.

What is they are oscillating on different freq?

  • There is more life in universe than the whole human hair together.

  • "No water = no life"? Seems to be so easy for humans' minds to keep falling into the same traps. Doesn't matter if they have doctorates or spend their whole lives in science, they still fail to ever manage to keep an open mind.

  • all of this makes me think theres no god

  • 'If Mars is barren, maybe the rest of space is too'. WHAT? Firstly, after how many years of technological searches, no 'visual' life on Mars has been discoverd. However that does not mean because a little planet has no life, the entire universe has none either. That is just ridiculous. If we're just a little floating spec with all the diverse life we have, imagen what could be exsisting on trillions of other specs we cant examine. We just dont yet have the capibilities to understand the univers

  • the guy with the pibk shirt said exactly what i was thinking!!!

  • theirs always life somewhere

  • We arent alone, There are loads of universe's out there, Creatures you cant imagine

  • the guy at !;00 sounds autotunes lol

  • there may be life on other planets, maybe there are aliens more developed than us, or aliens already capable of going into " Hyperspace" for their space ships.or perhaps, there are humans living on other planets juz like Earth.

  • NO WATER, NO LIFE.

    .

    Basic Science you morons.

  • @dirtydonki

Thats like saying ; we can't SEE energy so it DOESNT excist ?

LOL well ''moroan'' your wrong, but i respect your vieuw etc etc =)

  • @TELEFOON87 You can't spell and you so obviously have no idea about the subject and yet you have the gall to tell me I'm wrong.

    .

Until you get yourself an education fuck you and the horse you rode in on.

  • @dirtydonki

First of all ; youre right i cant spell cause ''english'' is not my normal language !! LOL

( @ least youre know what i was saying so who cares about that ) LOL

Second ; Education is wrong and doesnt learn people the real things of life and spirituality so '' F you'' with your education mannn LOLLLLL ghegeghe

  • i think kragseven is right. maybe other aliens do not need water like us. maybe they dont breath oxygen like us. maybe they dont need so much gravity like us? who knows?

  • 'Dreamed of aliens on Mars'

    Yeah... more like a Nightmare.

  • You would also need carbon and nitrogen to create life as we know it. You cant have cells without them. Life could possibly take other forms. However, with science you try to take the most quantifiable rout. There could be space zombies, but why waist time looking for them when we have no evidence they exist.

  • 0:49 gay douche

  • the guy at the end is an idiote. why would an alien life form need water??? just because human needs it?

  • To: csI1stw

I agree with you. The Narrator says, "Life involves complex chemical reactions, and as far as we know, complex chemistry needs water." The Narrator chooses his words carefully - very wise! It could just be that if aliens do exist (and the probability is high) that they may have a complex chemistry that is sustained not by water but by something else. It's akin to cultural diversities on earth; only this time in a galactic way. Aliens -- Humans....

  • @csl1stw For someone who is calling someone else an "Idiote" and doesnt even have good grammer.. Rofl.

  • @csl1stw Well, technically every living thing on this planet needs water. It's just a theory based off what we know 'so far'. We can't assume that a living thing can live without water (yet) because there is no evidence to support that theory.

  • @Kittywhiskers1000 Actually....It's called an extremophile. These little things sometimes don't even need water. However, I'm not completely sure. Correct me if I'm wrong.

  • @bobicemj Extremophiles can certainly live in very hostile enviornments, but I've never heard of them being capable to survive without water. They probably extract water from another source, though I personally can't be 100% sure on that myself.

  • @csl1stw agree

  • Martians are THE aliens when we see UFOs lavitating overhead. "Signs" is the movie with perfect example - aliens afraid of simple water. Predators use speacial mask to withstand our oxyginated environment on earth.

Martians use Mars's natural landscape to camouflage their bases in the mountains and craters.

  • I bigup ur comment cause imposible doesn't exist but it's in the same fact that it does exist.

  • I agree.........It is so stupid to assume that life requires water. That is something unique to Earth. Who is to say that other beings don't have other requirements that is essential for life. Maybe water is poisonous to other beings out there.

  • @JewishShiva

Ya, there was allot of really bogus things said in this, oddly.

  • @JewishShiva Hydrogen is one of the most prevalent elements in the universe. I doubt earth is the only planet with water. In order to find life in the universe we first have to agree on what life is. We do not know that there aren't other ways for life to exist, besides that which we already know.

  • @sweetmonkeylove1 Water excist in alot of planets that without a doubt, the problem is the form , it need to be liquid water be able to it role as a Hydrolyse and that is another story

  • @InitialDAmine I understand your point however water has been found in our own solar system, if only in trace amounts. This makes a pretty good case towards the possibility of water elsewhere. Examples would be comets, possible ice under the moons crust, mars has evidence of water, Europa and Ganymede.

  • @sweetmonkeylove1 the point is ti have liquide water you need alot of criterea whihc makes it mathematicly a weak chance to find the liquide water it is needed for life, like being in the golden zone, the planete having the right size( to big and the water would be found in an exotic form as a solide but solide due to to pressure even if the temp is in between 0-100 too small and the planet won't be able to hold it athmosphere and thus the liquide could not exist ect ect

  • @InitialDAmine The beautiful thing about the universe is that it is all possibility. Our existence is mathematically weak. The chances of us developing language skills are very weak, However it happened. We are here and we do speak and dream.

  • @sweetmonkeylove1 and we are most likely the only inteligent being able to do such things.

  • @I It all depends on how you define life and how you define intelligence. We define life based on what we know, however we are constantly surprised at how life exists in our most extreme environments. Any animal could be considered intelligent in its own environment. It knows what it needs to know in order to survive. I agree however that the likelihood of intellectual beings searching for similar life as we do is an unlikely scenario, however the potential is there, and us dreamers will dream.

  • omg just cuz mars might be barren that doesnt mean the rest of the universe is.... maybe life is unique on eath IN our solar SYSTEM but as Recaroloke said in the comments that if we need water and air to live ... that is only for us there are other leaving things out there that dont need to breath maybe they dont drink water .... THINGS are diferent there.. i never get how can i scientist say that every allien out there need water it is like us..

  • we as marsians?? WTF!

  • Have you ever seen "Signs"? The poison to the alien was water. I don't get where they come up with this "knowledge" of what it takes. We don't even know if there is life on Jupiter, and I would say the last worry there is water. Neptune, Uranus... none of them do we have any clue about in the least.

  • Why water? Perhaps only Earthlings need water and oxygen? What if there are such lives out there that doesn't need air to breathe, doesn't need any moisture to live? Why not? Water and oxygen are only essential in the Earth's point of view.

  • @recaroloke Its more logical to study places that contain similar elements to earth as we know life can occur under these conditions.

It dosnt mean that life cannot exist with different conditions but its less probable so a waste of time.

  • that is really one of the points of astrobiology, to study the conditions of extrasolar planets and make models of what an organism would have to undergo in order to live in those hostile conditions. However for any carbon based organism, water is essential for growth.

  • @recaroloke "Earthlings" draw that conclusion because all the living things on earth need water in order to survive for a longer period of time

  • @recaroloke

well said. Very arrogant of us earthlings to project our own essentials of life all over the universe, imagine!

  • @recaroloke water is the only naturally occuring "universal solvent" that means that it is the only thing in the known universe that can create acids and bases, and is required in the formation of hydrocarbons and proteins. all life need protein and hydrocarbons, and if its anything with more than a few cells it will need acids and bases to maintain homeostasis the only other universal solvents are gaseous, and only remain in liquid form in laboratory conditions, and can not occur naturally.

  • Who is the dorky scientist?

There are ancient ruins on Mars, entire megalopolises, pyramids and behemoth edifices built by a former advance Martian technoculture that is now extinct and was victim to a cosmocataclysm. But NASA knows there is a remnant surviving race living in subterranean cities on Mars.

    Scientists are a little slow.

  • @Eschatus2

Wow. You are so retarded that it's laughable!

I'm sure people like you also believe in Santa Clause, and the Bogie Man.

  • What is laughable is your spelling, LOL! There is no *e* in ***Santa Claus*** and you left out an extra *o* in ***Boogie Man***, which proves your retardation to the ENTIRE world.

  • @Eschatus2 Who cares about spelling on youtube? Your ideas about mars are fucking stupid and you dont need a spell check to realise that.

  • @Eschatus2 Where did you hear that nonsense? If that were true do you realy think we would be spending billions on mars probes just to take soil samples?

Proof of life or even former life on mars would be the complete focus of all space exploration.

    "Scientists are a little slow"

Right.... so who are the people with all the knowledge about mars?

  • life did not exist on earth b4, its well known tht bombardment of commets gave birth to life as we know it today.

Its unthinkable to assume earth is the only living planet in the universe. Humans and all life have come from othr planets.

  • @jirokun1 The origins of life are not well known at all, there are only varying hypotheses. One of which is that life came via meteors and another being Abiogenesis.

What is known is that all building blocks for life obviously came from other places (all the elements -> chemicals -> amino acids etc). Its not confirmed that life was already formed when it arrived.

  • this is shit theres life forms in space and on mars and all planets its been covered up since the first moon walk.

  • oh wow there was even sound

now how did that happen on mars

    does it have a median

  • All we really know is life as we know it. And even here on earh there is so much more that we don`t know. Life on oceanfloors, no light, no heat, extreme environments? Even in our own backyard, Life keeps on surprising us. And that`s just carbon based lifeforms.

  • keywords:

    "as far as we know"

  • there is another video by bbc science where it says that they found microrganisms on mars!

  • well this is what i am thinking, for us human water is primary need we need it, no doubt about it. however what if aliens or another breed of life is not needing water? what if they rely on some other substance? what if they don't need water to live?

  • Why can't I see the rest of it? After all I have paid for it with the massive cost of my UK TV licence!

  • How can we say H2O is the basis for all life?Yes life here on earth is bases on water but to say all life anywhere needs water is as naive as saying we are the only living creatures anywhere. We have to look beyond mans existence ,beyond what we believe to the truth. We have dinosaur bones that date 150,000,000 years ago yet some say that is wrong or they never existed because belief tells them different. You want to find life out there. We need to look beyond our own minds

  • this is what xactly i thought of and i posted it i didn't mean to copy it from u but i didn't read your comment

  • @kragseven because water is the best hydrolyse in the universe and it is needed to created AminoAcids , the base of the base for life as we know off

  • @kragseven - Awesome point. Our narrow understanding is limited to the requirements for life on EARTH ONLY. Hence we look for similar conditions - ie water. It's more than likely that water could be irrelevant to other life. =)

  • @kragseven

    ive always agreed with that

"life" is a self replicating system,

doesnt have to be water based, or oxygen based, or carbon based

    etc.

  • @kragseven So awesome that you wrote that, i was just about to write the same.

  • @kragseven keep in mind that water is VERY abundant in the universe and it does allow for all kinds of chemical reactions to occur. It might be possible to find life using another kind of fluid, but if the rule does hold out there as it does here, where there is liquid water, there is life........

  • @kragseven its a bigger chanse of life if its water on the planet. i think thats the reason there looking for water on planets. but yes i do agree with you it dosent have to be water on a planet for any form of life.

  • @lagreify

Then again if you look at Saturn's Titan, where its oceans and atmosphere are entirely made from methane, then perhaps life does not need only water in order to form itself. We may find one day planets with life-forms based on wholely different substances in contrast to water. We simply do not have enough information at the moment, nor will we find out until we begin to travel to all moons and planets of our solar system.

  • @AVIATIO ok. thanks for the info. im only 14 years old and i have troubles understanding everything u say but i find this really interesting. do you think i will stay alive untill they find life on another planet. or succes with teleporting trough the moon and earth or something fantastic like that :P? (i will prob live untill 80-90 i live verry healthy). you sounded kinda smart so i figured i should ask u.
