isn't it weird that sometimes other people come up with exactly the same story? I think its scary! But it just means that ideas are just FLOATING in the air. It's just that our antennae are tuned in on them and they sort of DOWNLOAD into our brains. It's the only way I can explain it. Happens to me frequently. Imagine, one can end up being sued for plagiarism!!! by the way... this is one of the best shorts movies. Thanks for the laughs!
Excellence is in the details (also stated: God is in the details). And creating story from scratch, if it's going to be good, requires LOTS of details. Most excellent...and very inspiring.
I truly hope you go far. I only wished I would've chosen such a path sometime ago. Now, I simply enjoy the creations of others and attend venues such as Comic.con and Dragon.con. I appreciate your time and patience.
Had my parrot on my shoulder when I started to watch this. He became extremely interested in watching, but then got scared when the guns started shooting! Anyway, nice job!
Lucas....Pigeon Impossiable is much better than "the switch" by far. you had me laughing so hard I sent your video to a bunch of friends haha. do you have another project in the future?
this was the stuff kind of, i was looking in youtube.
it's appreciable that to share the details processes of your project. that's awesome.
this given others a lot of motivation, especially me !!!! where i have dropped lot of my own project dew to "long duration" and changing stories in middle and freaking out at last.... Haaaaaa
and with addition to this, now i have also lost the projects materials to continue on them.... hehehe
Hmmmksch! That was humorous. Yeah, writing is rewriting a lot to ad infinitum. It was amazing that you lasted all that. I was barely able to finish everything I ever writen.
I don't remember exactly, there were actually a couple of similar ones, even recently one came out called "The Switch" which was actually the working title. Not that anyone stole the idea, I think its just a common idea.
LOL, true - but this constant reworking and evolution has as a result yielded a much stronger animation. really looking forward to seeing this - just a question - are there plans for a sequel using the main character, or any other open projects?
There's been a few thoughts of that but nothing concrete. At the moment I'm primarily focused on getting the short out there and seeing what opportunities arise. Specifically directing even though I know that everyone and their mother is trying to get into that role. :)
writing it in 2 years? That is a lot fot a small 6 min script lol. I think it takes about a year for JK rowling to write the harry potter books...and it took 7 years to write the lord of the rings or something like that. In 7 years you would be able to make a 20 min movie script?
aww :(

Wow, I can't imagine how many rewrites it took to get from The Switch to P.I, but I'm glad you did 'em all! Great podcast, as always ...

Tell all your secret so we too can make short films and still survive!

Sometimes, something that we think to be negative, helps us to improve our job. I think it was the same in your case :-)

Interesting to hear how the story first came about.
