Thank you so much for your video, you express what many of us feel who care for our loved ones who have a mental health problem, and what sadly so many do not understand, God Bless you
I'm glad you made this. There's such little information out there for those who are in romantic relationships with someone who is mentally ill. I could have written these words myself as your experience is much like mine. It's a difficult life sometimes, but yet you still desperately love the person who suffers because you know who they are under the illness. Thank you for sharing!
After seeing your video, we'd like to invite you to check out a contest we are running through the end of August called "What a Difference a Friend Makes". We're looking for meaningful stories about friends helping their friends dealing with mental health problems or during a particularly hard time in their lives. You can read more about the contest on our youtube channel and possibly win a trip to L.A. where your entry could be featured at the Voice Awards in October.
Sloths, I know whatcha mean man, having mental health sucks...and NJJJ Thanks for sharing your husbands story, I do hope somewhere along the line he can get better hun...I wish alot of us with mental health can get better, for the goodness...it's never easy to do as it is to be told, but I guess with the right people, It can happen,
I fucking hate having mental illness, now im on dissabialty so i cant find a job and it made thing 50x worse.. My chronic depression got worse when i was admited to an adolecent phyc unit, because when i was let out, it was straight back into the 'real world'
I wish you the best of luck and thanks for sharing your husbands story!
this is a intresting video to watch , becuase most people just think metal ilness only effects the person who has it , as you state in the video it doesnt :) and he does love you :)
I know how you must feel, I know i've been depressed since I was about 8 yrs old but wasnt officially diagnosed with it until last yr. I was ignored, laughed at, mistreated. SO many people don't understand how mental issues can effect your life. You become withdrawn. Lethargic. Nothing matters anymore.... I find it really hard to hold onto a relationship in this state. It's so hard.
spread the word.
