  • i find it funny that a japanese plane crashed into an american plane

  • that was awesome

  • NightFlyer how many millions dollars did you spend in RC?

  • wow the zero only a scratch LOL

  • Okay im pulling for the F4.

  • Y does the corsair always get hurt?

  • Love your videos David! Never heard of Guan'Li. Look like GWS products. Maybe reversed engineered? Keep up the good work! Happy flying!

  • you should make a vid on how to make the plane i mean atleast the shape of it

  • no bullet? no problem !!

just hit everything with your plane !!

  • @scrumhalf621 LOL The first part remindes me of the Ammu-Nation from GTA San Andreas. XD

  • well looks like the zero got some pay back on the american lol

  • Nice video! The music.... hmmm... not so much! Sounds like one of those movies you catch late at night on Cinemax. :-X

    Keep up the fun videos!

  • how about putting on automatic bb guns to make it intresting?

  • I think jeff MIGHT have one...

  • RULING ON THE FIELD:

  • YEAH!! So much for the Jolly Roger. That was cool! Thanks for sharing!

  • @superdonkeyballs Jolly Roger is a boat...

  • @JamDP1100 At 4:56 there is a skull and cross bones behind the propeller on the fuselage. If you know your history LCDR John Tommy Blackburn commanded the VF-17 in 1943. This squad flew the F4U's. They were called the Jolly Roger's.

  • wow I love it but where I can buy a corsair so or zero?

  • how much did that cost?

  • Lol such a contagious accent..

  • good vids, for some reason i am now interested in something i never thought id like..

  • how do u splice the footage with the tail cam and the othr footage?

  • dang that plane wz like "bitch wheres ma sandwhich?" lol

  • you should probably remind people, if they put 17 grams on the tail of their plane, they will probably crash it, if they don't add weight to the nose, especially some of the cheap shit that doesn't balance out well in the first place

  • BANZAI!!!

  • the funny thing is that Zero continued to fly without any problems. probably because he sliced corsair just with tip of his wing!! great videos man. respect from croatia

  • holy mackeral

  • New Technology=Glue & Tape. I have to keep that in mind next time I build a futuristic robot! ;)

  • Perhaps the best crash video I've seen. Nice camera work -- and very cool that you showed the wreckage and the rebuild. Fun stuff!

  • One little leading edge nick? (And in a Zero, no less, as if to rub it in.) How the hell did THAT disassemble your Corsair? X-D

  • that is just awesome.

  • does the gum stick cam have to be facing towards the tail? why cant it be facing the other way like a cockpit view by drilling a hole into the cockpit from underneath and make the camera be inside the cockpit like a pilots point of view? and can it be in a different location or will that effect the airflow or balance?

  • it was your fault you said "all out war"!

  • That sound, excruciating! .. so who won? :D

  • HOOOOOOOOOOLY MACKAAAAARUUUUUUULLLL MAAAAAAAYYYYNNNN

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Right through the fuselage. Like a knife through butter.

  • 3:20 HOLY MACRO

  • collision is at 2:08

  • he didnt cut the ribion lol

  • That was epic! I think the zero won that round lol. REMATCH!

  • that was funny

  • Hello Dave, Do you know if the Guanli controller that came with your Corsair is a single conversion or duel? And do you know if it will work with a single conversion CIRRUS MRX-4 receiver on 72Mhz?.. I just bought the RTF P-51 by Guanli and I want to know if the controller will work with my older park plane setup & if so what crystals I should buy.. Thanks

  • cool stuff

  • Absolutely amasing. You make me put myself into your cockpit!!

  • i had one of those but the motor that came with it could not keep it flying then it crashed i tried putinga brushless motor that i had in my little demon edge 540 but the motor was way to strong then the plane s was ruined ):

  • did u jsut hot glue that piece of foam to the elevator, the part that was broken off?

  • Hi,

Jolly Good Show Mate, Zero Fighter stay away from them, learn some thing RC Pilots, Never give up. Back in the Air.

  • Did Jeff slice your wings off with the prop Dave?! This was ABSOLUTELLY amazing! Looked like a real air collision! The japaneese zero is a really good plane!

  • white beats black???

  • It's blue

  • Great video footage!! That Zero cut the Corsair in half like it was hit by a missile! And the Zero kept flying with just a chunk out of the wing! Amazing!

  • juz70 for ace rc aerial vids.

  • hey dave, is that japanese zero the one that is $82 on nitroplanes or is that a brushless version

  • LOL, the victory isn't usually this complete, in RC combat :)

  • LOL. I got a good chuckle out of your comment. Good one!

    Jeff

  • lol i love the "latest technology" part

  • Haha, espectacular colision.

  • buahahaha nice!

  • where u guys live? so much open space...

  • This has to be the only time a Zero ever tagged a US fighter and lived to tell about it!

  • Not so, the Zero was a fairly dangerous fighter, nearly impossible to outmaneuver, and the primary means of beating it was with power and speed at long range. In other words - stay away from it and shoot from a distance :)

  • @jasmine2501 "Tagged," as in hit, smashed into, impacted. If a Zero ran into any American plane it would come out on the short end. Very much so.

  • Hehe... yeah they were prone to explode... like a Pinto hit from behind :)

  • Dam Kamikaze

  • Can I ask you what camera model were you using to shoot this? It looks great.

  • yea i want to know whats the onboard camera he used too

  • 18 Gram gumstick cam from Xheli...See link to right.

  • just skip to 2:17

  • listen to the peopl at the curtains they are like" aula lau oooh oool laoou"hahaha

  • Man that thing got HAMMERED. Good thing they come for 10 in a dozen nowadays huh?

  • Great video. Wish I could head that way and get a chance to fly with you guys and Joehandsome99 =)

  • Flawless victory

  • Hey thanks for all the gr8 videos that you put out there. Very informative as well as entertaining.I was watching a video about a sea plane build and you mentioned to put lots of hot glue on a plywood servo, because it was brittle.Try this trick I use . I carve decorative birds and to strengthen tips of very fine wing tips or beaks, legs, made of wood. Use the thin CA glue and let it soak into the ply wood. It will plasticize the wood and give it great strength. thanks again for your gr8 videos.

  • death by wing!!!

  • good times!

  • Good shot red two!

  • Goin Down Mayday Mayday .lol

  • They should have done ribbons back in WW2. It could have saved a lot of lives.

  • what do u all think bout the airtronics rds8000

  • Cool guys!

  • If the plane flew without a glitch with the 72mhz radio system, then a 2.4ghz radio isn't going to make it fly any better.

  • What I don't get is how the hell the Zero got away unhurt! Great vid 5 stars

  • Where can I find one of these planes?

  • now this is one cool vid sir. 5*

  • At least the cameraman on board the Corsair was alive and performing his duty till the end

  • that has got to be so much fun. id love to come battle (unrealisticly) with my t-28! id take out your guys ribbons!

  • This is what model flying is all about. Scuse the language, but bugger everyone who gets pissed off when their model plane crashes!

    A1 job Mr. Herbert!

  • Hey man i love the video i actualy just ordered my first f4u corsair how dose it fly its my first plane.

  • not a good first pick do your reseach choose a high wing trainer, and practice on a good simulator

  • Hey 083jason your gona love the f4u but PUT IT AWAY and get an inexpensive high wing trainer to learn on, also get a RC flight simulator, most trainers come with one.

That way you will be able to enjoy the f4u instead of picking up the pieces of it.

And be patient you need practice and many crashes in order to get good.

Dave (NightFlyyer) has vids with high wing trainers look them up.

I've been flying RC for 20 years and I learn things watching his vids.

  • HAHA youll see how it "flies" when ur pickin up all the peices after ur first attempt at flight. wow get a trainer and a flight sim for ur comp before you just go and purchase a random plane when you havent even flown before

  • Oh yeah! I loved it! Great vid you guys! That was some awesome footage. "Holy Mackerel!" LOL!

  • Get that Jap bastard Dave.

  • Great vids guys! wish i could fly rc planes. Its been my wish since being 8 years old and i am now 38! Please help! lol Keep up the fantastic work!

  • Ouch.... a little surgery and it is good as new.... good doctoring brother..... sis

  • supergut...

  • meh. its only a flesh wound.. some super glue.. duct tape.. maby a bigger gun?.. and you should be taking that zero out of the sky in no time..

  • that was one spectacular crash! I have that stick cam and now I know it can take a good shock. Another camera I have wich costs much more erases in a rough landing.

  • before you played the rest of the video i heard "holy" then it cut off

i was expecting something like holy sh@@t because that is definately what i said holy sh@t

  • im just gunna guess that jeff won.

    NICE SHOOTING MAN!

  • five stars and favorite man!

  • REMATCH MAN!

  • BANZAAAIII!!!

  • Now thats what I call a Slice n' Dice!

  • Wow, that was one intense hit!!! Thats got to stink for you Dave but I guess it was still fun, and nice job on Jeff's part. I got to do that when I get a plane...... =D

  • wtf! is that zero indusructiable? its take 2 hits and still lands lol that was awsome

  • wow ! lol, that had to be the best result you could of asked for , love your channel , me and a freind are just getting back into rc again , every night i muck around with all my rc bits n bobs which now cost so little compared to 5-10 years ago ( just discovered depron and brushless :) just to say thanks for keeping all of us inspired regards jinx from scotland ps tell jeff he does a great job too .

  • itllb wierd watching a newvid from this spot with no snow lol its been so long since ive seen it w/0 snow

  • you have not tried the camera with a viewing angle of 180 degrees

  • Hello What do you edit videos?

  • not much use of a rudder lol. 5* dave

  • Nice shooting Jeff......ha, ha!

  • I love your videos!! I think I'm going to pick up one of these. Thanx!!

BTW having that kind of camera on the tail near the rudder...does that affect the flight?

  • BANZAI YOU YANKEE IMPERIALIST DOG!!!!! funny stuff ;)

  • great vid again lads was good to watch. where can i get one of them small cams from they look cool.

  • The camera came from nitroplanes. Click on the nitroplanes link in the description box and search "camera".

    Jeff

  • haha killer vid guy's i loved it. that looked like a ton o fun. good job jeff. happy flying.

  • Thanks for the compliment. Happy flying to you as well.

    Jeff

  • We can rebuild him! we have the technology!

  • once again nice Jeff way to make the "master the student"!!

  • Haha....I have a great teacher...and maybe a little luck on my side.

    Jeff

  • I guess we know who won! I love the videos you make dude :)

  • the fall was what happened to my glider with a high G strain the wing ripped off. nice midair

  • lol jeff does not play around!

  • 'The People of the Mist'. Per Ardua Ad Astra`

  • Air power is indivisible. If you split it up into compartments, you merely pull it to pieces and destroy its greatest asset - its flexibility.

    — Field Marshall Bernard Mongomery

  • That was AWESOME!

  • Now look at Jeff's evil grin of victory at 4:10 priceless :-))

But that was some pretty heavy duty action you guys got going on, too bad for the plane, but you can always say that you still have the pictures :-))

Just kidding, I know they can be glued back together. Great video guys, it was a joy to watch 5*

  • That Zero is a tough little plane.

  • I was wondering why you had a broken Corsair in your range test video. Now I know. Looked fun though.

  • I truley enjoy watching ur videos. it is what rc is all about. if only more people knew what they are missing. I also love the rush of adrenaline right before I launch off as well. love it!!! 5*****

  • What I particularly liked is the audio of Dave laughing like a kid when approaching the wreckage of the F4U. Hehehe. Jeff wins this round!

  • hm dave I would almost say its time to retire this battle torn guy and bring in a new guy just outta flight school lol

  • That was awesome!

  • id actually have to sat the zero won...

    KAMIKAZE!!!!!!!

  • That was spectacular!!

  • One of the few times I've seen you loose total control of an aircraft Dave... Bar trees! 10/10 bud.

  • WOW it sounded like the noise of Transformers when they are "transforming" sounded awesome but it kinda hurt my ears

  • @Ikarugo2008 It transformed alright. Transformed into an Ostrich.

  • Hi Dave & Jeff:

Wow what a one in a million shot for a mid air - and to catch it all with a ground camera, as well as with a tail cam! Dave, do you have any tips for using the plumber's goop? I'm trying to use it instead of double sided tape for some small servos into balsa. Doesn't seem to work like the tape? Electron Teacher

  • Super video! Great combat. Keep them coming. Thanks.

  • haha well use the latest technology awesome 5 stars

  • Oh My God! That was horrendous but amazing, great video, that was really a fun flight! Kind of disappointed though that it was the final combat of two planes. Great job again on video again as usual.

  • I guess Jeff won!!!

Je je ;-), just kiding... great vid, it will probably be a quick fix, thanks for sharing...

  • Interesting roll reversal. The Zero made out of paper mache and popsicle sticks rams the aluminum Corsair and wins.

  • i hope it didn.t cost 6 million dollars to do it

  • That was mental ;-) and she is all back together and ready for the pearl harbour revenge attack = f4u corsair taking on the mighty zero ;-) wouldn't want to bet on the out come of that one boys ;-) 5*

  • Splendid video NF!

  • I would retire that plane, my brother rammed mine pretty hard into the ground, so i had to repair it. But if it hit another RC plane, that would hang from the ceiling in full damaged glory.

  • awesome hit there!

    danny in ohio

  • Cool it with the sound effects

  • LMAO. Japan takes out US.

  • Ive been to Pearl Harbor

  • 2:19 pwned

  • rofl

  • WOW! that Collision was the best! it looked SO real! haha nice.. Cant believe u were able to Put it back together!

  • hey there dave. i have taken similar video on my 3dHS AJ slick. one camera (identical to your micro cam) is in the cockpit, and my sister recorded from the ground. now, i want to make a youtube video of the two using a PictureInPicture syncing type thing exactly like how you did. but i cant find a way to make this happen.

could you please explain how you edited the two videos together, and with what software?

thanks a bunch! and awesome video! love the sounds!!

    Patrick

  • The easiest way is to have the cameras rolling, and then clap your hands in front of both lenses, so in editing you can sync the visual side, and the audible side

  • You've inspired me to make my own hat-cam. It's gotta be more socially-acceptable than my current shoe-cam. :-P --great video!
