  • Wow! I am in this video, pushing my dad in his wheelchair. What a fluke of luck - a most unexpected surprise! I showed my brother and my friends and they were just speechless! They asked, "How lucky can you get!?" Whoever put this video up can get intouch with me on facebook.

  • Its the Ceremonial Guard that does the Changing of the Guard in Ottawa during the Summer, you will see the Uniforms of the GGFG and the CGG Canadian Grenadier Guards, both of these Regiments used to man the Guard 100% but now they are unable to due to Operational Tempo, the Guard is made up of members of the Canadian Forces.

  • I know the two men in the foreground of this video - the man in the wheelchair and the man pushing it.

  • So professional. Love it!

    Thanks for the upload.

  • The Changing of the Guard takes place every summer morning. The ceremonial guard arrives departs the Cartier Square Drill Hall at about 09:45 hrs and arrive on Parliament Hill at 10:00 hrs. for their 30 minute demonstration, then depart the Hill. The new guard relieve the old guard for Rideau Hall, the Governor General's residence. The Governor General represents Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

  • They are not cadets.

  • I was told they are cadets but if they are not I stand on guard for thee my friend and bow to your superior intellect. :)

  • They are not cadets !

It is either the Governor General's Foot Guards or the Canadian Grenadier Guards that do the "Changing of the Guards" every morning on Paralment Hill !
