So people were not aware of it, and when news came the wave of shock spread throughout the state.

Till 1970s WB/Calcutta contributed to 61% of national revenue because all companies headquarters were in Calcutta and the revenues of those companies were reported as that of west bengal. Did not take very long for that to go down to single digits. Please be humble, work for the betterment of the locals and your culture, but dont demean others. North Indians have not gone to Maharastra illegally. They are working legally as per Indian constitution.

Raj Thackeray's future is bleak in Mumbai, which is essentially non-Marathi. Less than 30% population of Mumbai has Marathi as the mother-tongue. Mumbai has immigrants from all places of India and hence Hindi takes more precedence in day to day parlance. High-end Commerce and Enterprise in Mumbai happens in the English language. Only in avoidable places such as Government offices/agencies full of red-tape and corrruption (for example, BMC, Police) is Marathi needed.

So people were not aware of it, and when news came the wave of shock spread throughout the state.

Till 1970s WB/Calcutta contributed to 61% of national revenue because all companies headquarters were in Calcutta and the revenues of those companies were reported as that of west bengal. Did not take very long for that to go down to single digits. Please be humble, work for the betterment of the locals and your culture, but dont demean others. Raj Thackeray's future is bleak in Mumbai, which is essentially non-Marathi. Less than 30% population of Mumbai has Marathi as the mother-tongue. Mumbai has immigrants from all places of India and hence Hindi takes more precedence in day to day parlance. High-end Commerce and Enterprise in Mumbai happens in the English language. Only in avoidable places such as Government offices/agencies full of red-tape and corrruption (for example, BMC, Police) is Marathi needed.

You go anywhere in the world all (cultures and language) people supports their own communities. Like In UK, always first preference for jobs is British then Europeans then others. Its same in USA, Europe everywhere and India is the union of different language and cultures like Europe. All cultures are divided by states. Indian laws always differ by states and it always show favour to particular people and communities these are the main reasons of hatred. India dont belive in equality

If Tamilnadu reservers 80% of jobs for tamils then every state should have same law across the india. North-Indian cant force hindi on anyone because India is not made up of just a hindi speaking people. anyone want to learn hindi or any other language it could be its own choice...Indian railway serves India not just in UP and Bihar so jobs for Indian railway should be divided equally in India.
