worst level in NBA on history...this player is a bad player...And Bowut????Longley was better!!!where is Olajuwon?Ewing?Robinson?Duncan?Garnett?(olders)Shaq,Barkley,Malone big man with quality power forwards and center with quality...only dunkers now and fat players, Howard is a joke don´t have quality, griffin and others only dunks, only Kevin Love and Pau gasol have real quality.Worst level in big mans.
Great video. Let's hope the Mavs actually give him a chance. They need a backup to Dampier. Hopefully he'll get a shot to prove that he can do what's in this video at an NBA level.
OR Toronto is stupid like nflizsoft6 said. Him being out of shape has nothing to do with him not getting minutes in a basketball game. If he was that out of shape he wouldn't be playing. But I'm happy because my Mavs got him and I'm pretty sure we know how to use him.
yay! hes cleared to play but since hes left the nbl the whole leuge has classped slingers:gone bullets:gone kings:gone spirit:broke taipans:broke all gunna go under this year good luck for jawai
oh scotty scotty scotty... I don't think therell be a next year for the snakes. Chatted to a senior player and well be lucky to play out this season. Bloody devastated
$42, 000?? We required 100 pledges of $5000 and got 140 pledges, do the math, were $200, 000 out of debt.
Nonetheless the money i contributed to that syndicate doesnt mean we're in next season, we still need to be approved by the nbl and to them we are 2nd class citizens.
I'm praying snakes will be back but will be treating this saturday vs. dragons to be their final game ever
He's supposed to be playing for my team the Toronto Raptors, but apparently they found that he had a heart problem. As much as i REALLY want him to play this season, I'm happy they found out the heart problem, I would hate it if he died on the court like Miklos Fehrer did while playing soccer. I do hope they can figure out whats wrong with him and hopefully fix it and get him up and running. We REALLY need a player like him, with him we would be unstoppable.
keep in mind, he only started playing basketball when he was like 17 : / so for 5 or so years of experience, hes definitely come along way being rookie of the league in australia averaging nearly 20 - 10
Just heard Nate is being held out of practice after some pre-training camp cardiac testing. I really hope it is nothing serious for the sake of the Raps and more importantly, for Jawai himself. Wishing you the best from Aus mate. I hope he is the first 5 off the bench for the Raps. For someone so powerful, he is really light on his feet. His style of play will compliment CB4 and Bargnani when they play at the 4 alongside him as they both play more of an outside offensive game.
Jawai plays pretty good. He's a sureball at the post! I think he's really an excellent acquisition by Colangelo! Here's my prediction for the raptor roster:
people should stop calling him "assie shaq". jawai himself stated that he doesnt like the nickname. he has a lot of respect for shaq and doesn't like the idea of being compared to him when hes nowhere near his level. he finds it offensive and unnecessary
i personally agree and i think he'd rather be known as nathan jawai than assue shaq imitator..
nigga plz, i played against this cat. he 6'10, got a fuckin 7'6 arm span!! and jumps out the mother fuckin building. he gonna get it done where ever he plays.
This guy is going to be the next adonal foyle, the lift of his shot is so low every nba big man will swat that stuff,He is dominating the euros because they are all jumpshooter and weak post players.
He seems pretty underrated by the draft. I think that he has potential to develop into a stronger more aggressive player. He just needs to develop more inside presence, improve his fundamental skills in the post, and put a little more development his shooting technique (it's not top notch but Kapono will help improve his shooting game). He also needs to lose some mass and add a little more lean muscle. He'll be able to contribute for the team, although he wont get a lot of playing time.
But Jermaine and Chris are going to play C and PF.. So he isnt going to get much time there.. If you watch an interview with Golden State he says that they had him doing guard workouts and for SF because they want him to be versitile
hes a rookie, young and has some weigh to lose imo. for his experience, it'd be better for him not to start anyway. the best way to nurture a young guys career is to surrond him by the best and let him feed off that energy. you'll see him explode into a great player couple seasons after, whether with the raps or not
JAWAI, hassan addams, alabama moon, roko, jermaine o'neal, chris B finally playing pf instead of C, a few other trades will sure happen(magette?)..Watch out for us NBA
oh man this the bench on Toronto will be so damn good with him and Ukic, Moon, possibly delfino and Andre omg and the starters Jermaine, Bosh, Calderon, Parker and Kapono
MLSE Sucks ass. They are so cheap. heck, look at most of the good teams, they are over the limit. You cant win, if you're not over the limit. They cant even sign a good player for TFC. I think the highest paid athelete is making 1 mil or someting.
While yes, MLSE is cheap, you cant just throw money at a franchise and expect them to win (look at the knicks lolol). Given the circumstances BC is doing an amazing job by most standards.
The problem with MLSE is that they are an investment group that is more worried about making money then they are about making championship teams. All their teams are niche Canadian teams that garner support of the entire nation regardless of whether they win or lose.
man carlos is back on the raps dude check the roster and transactions... san antonio is htinking about trying to get him but they probally wont since raps already made a big move... i dont like carlos i was hoping they would get rid of him :( but they never
NbA scouts don't know that the aussie league is superior to the ncaa most of the time. The UNLV team lost to a second tier team the other day in Sydney. Jawai's numbers translate to 20, 10 in the ncaa. I predict he will be superior to Hibbert, the guy he was traded for.
Gerald Wallace has never played a healthy seasson and hes coming off a concusion so he is wayy more of a gamble plus they already got a player like him in Jamrio Moon. Moon plays the same game Wallace does so it would make no sense in that deal
this man is a beast but the raps are gonna keep him overseas for a couple more years so that he can get ready for the nba. i think once he hits the nba though, he should stay in the low post because with o'neal toronto has enough big men who shoot.
Solid pickup for what was the softest team in the NBA. The Raptors finally got the message and brought in some bangers with J.Oneal and this beast of a man. i see this as a guy who can come in to toronto and contribute right away this is great this is like rasho times 2 now its time to move humphries and joey....raps should try to get there hands on chris douglas roberts if possible
He will be a good player,he has nice skills and plays tough, needs experience.Sonics or the Jazz probably will go after him. Number 15 for the Suns is probably too early for him. He could fall to the Grizzlies at 28 or to 29 when the Pistons pick. There is an outside chance that the Rockets might take him at 25.I feel Serge Ibeka is taller, and more athletic but Nathan is more skilled and should go higher than him.
This guy does not play at all like shaq. I would compare him more to hakeem olajuwon because he can actually shoot unlike shaq! All shaq had was the body to over power everyone.
I am very hopeful that twat Kerr has looked at him he should be drafted by the Suns. What an awesome line up that would be Shaq on his way out and teaching Jawai everything with exception of how not to shoot free throws. Suns need to add some more D and this monster should be added. Shaq Amare Diaw / Hill Bell and Nash start with Jawai Barbosa and co off the bench. The amount that he could learn from Amare as well wow how much could he improve those guys to learn from
with the first pick of 2008 NBA Draft...the Chicago Bulls select Nathan Jawai!......i here booooos! ha ha!............syke..michael beasley! thats better!
i think the thing aussies like most about jawai is that he never passes up an opportunity to dunk the ball, unlike most players in the nbl who never pass up an opportunity to shoot the jumper or lay in the open fast break, which is so boring to watch. NBL need more dunks!
Now the Raptors should draft this guy. hes like a Jason maxiell type of player which we are lacking of. RAPTORS ARE YOU SCOUTING THIS GUY OR ARE YOU IN EUROPE DRAFTING YET ANOTHER EURO SHOOTER?
post game is still a bit raw. Needs to learn a couple more moves down low. He almost always backs down his man and then goes right. Still, hes got potential.
worst level in NBA on history...this player is a bad player...And Bowut????Longley was better!!!where is Olajuwon?Ewing?Robinson?Duncan?Garnett?(olders)Shaq,Barkley,Malone big man with quality power forwards and center with quality...only dunkers now and fat players, Howard is a joke don´t have quality, griffin and others only dunks, only Kevin Love and Pau gasol have real quality.Worst level in big mans.

jazz will pick him or hibbert... personally i think this guy is tougher but hibbert is more talented

Boy he'll sure look good in a Piston uniform come next. Joe D surely can't pass up a post presence like Jawai late in the first.

NBA all the way! they not gonna know what hit 'em when Jawai's in da house!

with the first pick of 2008 NBA Draft...the Chicago Bulls select Nathan Jawai!......i here booooos! ha ha!............syke..michael beasley! thats better!

i think the thing aussies like most about jawai is that he never passes up an opportunity to dunk the ball, unlike most players in the nbl who never pass up an opportunity to shoot the jumper or lay in the open fast break, which is so boring to watch. NBL need more dunks!

Do people actually call him "Baby Shaq"? That's an insult - to Nathan Jawai. He has much better hands and shooting touch than Shaq.
