ok, I'll have to look into this, Xenophon's historcal books would have certainly be something they read, but that would be a Greek making a biography of a Persian. that wouldn't be the only case of Greeks doing such biographies. Plutarch also did to. At at any rate, I am not sure what the founding fathers would have gotten aout of that book, other than rational to have a constitution for a Free nation not run by a tyrant, which, from the Founder's perpective, is what Cyrus was.

Religionsim is not much different than sexism, tribalism, nationalism or racism. Carl, is to celebrate Iran's past history more important than defending the rights of actual iranian peoples ? No, you will say. Persian Empire under Cyrus was a democracy? Never heard of that, lol. And about the "declaration" of human rights wich was written in the cylinder, is very much debated among scholars. Majority of scholars and historians doesn´t agree with that interpretation. Cyrus was more kind with the conquered peoples than previous empires, and he wrote that in the cylinder.. He didn´t created an international law or a charter or anything like that. This is an erroneous interpretation.
