  • must see !!!!

  • WHAT is the name of the movie by ALEX JOVI, about the Cyrus the great ???

i sure love to watch that movie ..

pls let me know guys, if anybody know the movie ..tnx.

  • How many Iranians, Persians know that many descend from Elam, first son of Shem?

  • Cyrus The Great King Of Persia made me realized how small, insignificant, shallow, cruel and how inhumane the king of thailand is toward his neighbors, his guests and his subjects.

  • Some ppl have blue eyes or gold hair, some ppl have nice history/culture. everyone has different things to feel good about/good quality and we can all learn from each other. This country/region named Iran has probably contributed positively to humanity more than any other plus they dont kill ppl or start wars. They control history like hockey puck and they r not led only by they're darkest temptations or desires. Thats how we should all be and no one should be jealous of the Persians.

  • This document overstates its case concering Persian influence on the constitution of the US.Just because a book was required reading(which may or may not be true)and that a book was part of Thomas Jefferson's Library, it doesn't mean that it was a signficant part of the constitution. It may be possible, but its still a stretch.

  • ok, I'll have to look into this, Xenophon's historcal books would have certainly be something they read, but that would be a Greek making a biography of a Persian. that wouldn't be the only case of Greeks doing such biographies. Plutarch also did to. At at any rate, I am not sure what the founding fathers would have gotten aout of that book, other than rational to have a constitution for a Free nation not run by a tyrant, which, from the Founder's perpective, is what Cyrus was.

  • Your prejudices are keeping you away from truth.

Look into my Channel to find the above video. You will notice that it stands right besides another about the Christians under the fists of some other prejudiced peoples.

  • Is'nt that Naw-Ruz for you too Carl ?

So, my best wishes, however our seemingly differing views. May God assist all those humanists like you still living in Iran or elsewhere. Take care. God never forget a good word.

  • Candels,

Aside from 1- exposing those that undermine your faith, there are 2 other ways that can be adopted

2- Promote what you believe in, let people come to u

    3- Undermine every other cause

U seem to be doing all 3.

Please allow people to promote other causes & ideas as well.

This clip is not against u. If anything, show-casing Cyrus for his tolerance & respect for other religions should support your cause.

Happy Now-Ruz to u as well.

  • « Please allow people to promote other causes & ideas as well. »

May I suggest you do that too ?

    Peace !

  • Candles, I've never posted any comments that belittles any video clip that promotes Bahai faith.

However u & ur friends continuously undermine the focus of any video clip that promotes Iranians or Persians.

Users hateman321, Brulluhman, rep30 & southernpersian also focus on only spewing hate against Iranians and Persians.

I will respond to any comment that tries to promote hatred against Iranians, Persians or any of the other Iranian ethnic groups such as Armenians, Kurds, Turks, ...

  • First, I don't know them, second, two of them are not available on YouTube, third, I was to take back my commentaries since it seem to be a matter of life and death for you, figureratively, even though it IS REAL for those I defend. But since you speak of hatred, which is NOT my purpose but to denounce what might come up soon to be a life treath for 30,000 PEOPLES of good will, I... won't.

Please, take is as a demonstration of justice not hate.

    Enough said.

  • Candles, My choice of the word "friend" was wrong.

Those users are still on youtube ...

Remove all ur commentaries & I will remove mine.

Highlighting Cyrus's benevolence & respect for all ethnic groups & religions can set an example for every Iranian including the supporters of the current regime.

Those who live abroad try to promote another side of Iran that the regime has been trying to replace with the expansion era of the Caliphs

Ur commentaries overshadow the focus of this clip

  • But what I WILL do is to download THIS exact video in my playlist, Prophet MOHAMMED.

This way, balance will be kept. As an aside note, I NEVER CONTINUOUSLY UNDERMINE THE etc. Were did you get that ? In your head.

    Peace !

  • Candles, U can certainly download this video, repost it & only allow comments that overshadow Cyrus with what the current regime has practiced.

Now if u do that u will be on the same side as the Iranian Regim, only caring for your own group & belittling Cyrus who did not leave behind a legacy of slaughter, rape, ransack & plunder.

Two type of comments can be posted in response to this clip, one that highlights lessons to be remembered or one that overshadows, belittles & diverts focus ...

  • That being said from you part and mine, let me add this.

If ever the regime goes with its exterminating design, shaming Islam and religion for ever in the minds of world citizens, we are all good for inextricable troubles.

Once the light of religion completely extinguished in the hearts of peoples through such abominous act committed by so-called religionists, what awaits humanity is total chaos, what we actually see being just a premise of an atheist, materialistic world view.

  • Candles, Every religion every other religion only looks after itself. People should be protected regardless of their religion or lack of religion. Religionsim is not much different than sexism, tribalism, nationalism or racism. It's one thing to protect ones gender, tribe, nationality or race by celebrating it, but it's another thing to undermine others. What u've done here is undermined the message of this clip & diverted it's focus.

  • If you permit, a confirmation by the regime itself...

I do not understand the discrepancy. Do you ?!

Watch this : Iran's New Voice

  • CandlesOfUnity, This regime blatantly exterminates who over goes against it. Everybody knows that. The regime sees Bahai faith as a threat.

This has nothing to do with celebrating Cyrus.

Why do u want to turn this clip in to a discussion of how bad Iran is? Should no one celebrate Iran's history & instead should all shut up & only attack Iran?

Should any clip that gives hope & instills pride in Iranians be squashed?

We support u Y do u undermine us?

This is happening all over Youtube.

  • Carl, is to celebrate Iran's past history more important than defending the rights of actual iranian peoples ? No, you will say. That's why the info about the two videos was poster, the first denouncing the actual atrocities, the second confirming what the above video tries to convey : the practice of human rights in old Persia. Is'nt that fare ? If I had not done so, would you have given viewers a complete picture? Probably not. Don't call it undermining but a search for justice and balance.

  • Candles, Of course it is important to defend the rights of Bahais. But defending Bahais right is not different than defending human rights in Iran. This clip is not meant to specifically defend Bahais or explicitly attack current Iranian regime.

There are countless of youtube clips that already do that.

There are few clips that try to show Iranians in a different light & remind Iranians how Cyrus paid homage to different religions of the Empire.

Y try to divert the purpose of this clip?

  • Darius,

Here is a video confirming what Cyrus had proclaimed... with a confirmation as of how it is denied today.

As viewers, we like to have a more complete, actual picture, don't we.

    1) Iran moving to eradicate Bahai faith senior analyst

    2) Message and Prayer for Baha'is of Iran

Will you join in prayer as an humanitarian ?

  • CandlesOfUnity, You are not the only one who tries to undermine the Iranians & History of Iranians by rubbing the atrocities of the Muslim extremism to the face of any video that promotes Iranians.

You are on purpose tainting this clip & the Iranian people. Iranian Regime has executed 1000s of people that went against the Regime. It really doesn't matter what religions those executed believed in but 99.99% of those executed were not Bahai but stood up for the rights of Bahai's.

  • Back then.... What is going on now ?

    See this video :

" Persecution of Baha'is in Iran "Crime of the Century"

    Objectivity please !

    And actual info is needed...

Then, everyone can make is mind about 'democracy' in Iran.

  • Candles, U are confused.

This clip is not supporting Iranian Regime

This Video is NOT promoting religion

Do not get confused. Post your comment were religions are discussed or promoted

    This clip is about history

    It covers pre-Islamic era

Obviously on purpose u pretend to have no clue and u are trying to undermine this clip.

  • Persian Empire under Cyrus was a democracy? Never heard of that, lol. And about the "declaration" of human rights wich was written in the cylinder, is very much debated among scholars. Majority of scholars and historians doesn´t agree with that interpretation. Cyrus was more kind with the conquered peoples than previous empires, and he wrote that in the cylinder.. He didn´t created an international law or a charter or anything like that. This is an erroneous interpretation.

  • robto, 2,500 year old Tablets show that the law of the land was written in 3 different languages.

Persians where the first to conquer & unite different nations in to an Empire

Hegel the great philosopher calls the Persian Empire the "first" empire in his book of PHILOSOPHY OF THE STATE AND HISTORY Ur use of the term "previous empires" is wrong

There was no democracy as we know it today but Persians liberated slaves & allowed different nations of the empire to practice their own religion & law

  • very nice. Viva Persian Empire

  • I can see how he is beloved by his people and more... moreover, his person was his own... he showed humanitarian, religious respect, values, bravery like no other during his time... 3rd writers can only interpret which god he really followed.

  • That was amazing. my nach teacher is the best teacher ever.

  • im so proudxx

  • That was an amazing video.

  • humm , great

  • beautiful Persian.

  • Babylon needs a Cyrus

  • Bro, In the tags section, make sure to add, "cyrus, great, jew, hebrew, bible, freedom" to get more hits on it.

  • Thank you for posting this... it was a great documentry!

I heard about this movie about Cyrus the great being produced along time ago but 5 years later it has not been reliesed yet. Does anyone know when its coming out?

  • Cyrus the world oldest Human activist.

    Everyone Know him on U.N.

  • Long live Cyrus.

  • I agree.

Iranians need to (and to an extent increasingly are)look farther back into their past, before the Arab conquests.

  • Such a shame that a nice country like Iran is where it is today. I hope Iran will be free very soon.

  • thanks for making the diffrence between the people and the gvt. i think a huge majority of iranians hate their gvt...so the question is, how long can a gvt stay in place not with the support of its people but with force and violence ? not long i hope...

  • True that the present gov. of Iran is less then desirable but any government is better then being subservient to foreigners, I rather have less liberty by an Iranian gov then be subject to & brutal force by Americans in my soil. DO NOT forget, no dog, no shirt, no Iranian signs in Abadan, during British occupation of oil fields.

  • Iran, should & would be globally welcomed as a major player passed the middle-east, if, it proves (to UN) it only is developing peaceful nuclear technoledgy and really allowed its great peoples to think for them-selves, and, vote democratically for their choices, instead of the (half-baked) bull-shit, still enslaving them.

  • From another thread " YES, don't you guys realise?

we zoroastrims are getting lesser and lesser every day. islam is like a plague fucking up the real Persia and persians. And I god damn hate it. U got that right. Every attempt to kick them out, Is a chance for us. Every more threats US makes to iran, the more people trust our fucking monkey president.

I wish we had Shah back, he could handle this mullahs and arabs. "

  • I have the greatest respect for our ancient heritage which includes Zorastians, but let not forget, it was what zorastian high priest did that caused 2 religious up rising, Mani, and Mazdak, finally Islam won. Had they not oppressed common masses , Islam would have never taken roots. PLEASE KNOW THY HISTORY.

  • Should women have freedom? Would you oppose or support those who subjugate them?

  • How is women issue relevant to your previous argument. That is a subject to it self. I responded to the cause and effect, of why Islam was able to establish roots in Iran.Besides, all religions are oppressive to women, that is not exclusive to Islam.

  • delaraZarin,

I apologize for not being more organized and thorough in my responses. Let me start over, please.

your comment: "True that the present gov. of Iran is less then desirable but any government is better then being subservient to foreigners, I rather have less liberty by an Iranian gov then be subject to & brutal force by Americans in my soil. DO NOT forget, no dog, no shirt, no Iranian signs in Abadan, during British occupation of oil fields. "

  • delaraZarin,

Sorry for not being more clear and defined. This is my second posted response; the first does not seem to have listed, so this may turn out to be a double post. If this doesn't post, I will return tomorrow and try again. I am not an Iranian.

You had posted that the Islamic govt of Iran , though less than desireable and not having as much freedom (as?), it is better than being subject to the US and under their brutal force. Cont.

  • How is living under the tryrannical rule of the Islamists in any way OK? Are you a muslim?

  • You Tube videos that seem to suggest otherwise.

Iranian Police Enforces "Islamic Dress Code" on Women

    Iranian women fight for freedom

    Women in Iran

    Iranian Women Demonstrate

Iranian Police Enforces "Islamic Dress Code" on Women

  • 18rthen: what does Islam have to do with Cyrus King of Persia? Cyrus was dead some 1200 years before Mohamed created Islam.

  • klard,

When did I say otherwise? Perhaps you should revisit the beginning of these comments of mine to see what I was responding to.

  • Great
