  • The doppelganger must hurt like hell when she has to lie down. It could be painful for her if you ever had to sleep with her lol ;).

  • And Dev what is your lighting setup? That slow pull out at the end was awesome, are you using a photographic backdrop?

  • @asjarra It is a light box. I should really iron the crease in the backdrop-cloth, as it would look much better, but as I fold it to put it away after each use, it comes right back. It has one light on either side, and I play around with the angles until I get the conditions right for best filming.

  • Love your retro base man :D Oh my the doppleganger is freaking me out. Amazing paint job. Just some really inspiring painting Devstro, congrats on your journey and thanks for sharing!

  • BRAVO!!! amazing work

  • good video I liked the close ups you gave. good luck on the contest!

  • One of the great things about Malifaux is that the game does'nt really enforce certant models to be played with others (with exception of factions and masters). Everything is like a special character. Everything has a wide range of abilities and powers. Its a shame you cant try the game out. Its a fun game with some really good twists to it. Also, your Menoth stuff looks amazing. I will be uploading a video shortly on trollbloods (finished my first one).

  • I agree, buddy, white and black are the toughest to show subtle contrast of hightlights...your figs look great...of course, I have always been a fan of your lizardmen...great video response, good luck in the competition...Jim.

  • the doppleganger looks great

  • I would love to see you paint one of the models that will be released for my miniature wargame when its ready to roll out.

  • Great to see how you've progressed bud! I totally agree with looking at another well painted model and trying one's hand at replicating it without having a breakdown of all the colors and techniques used. I do a similar type of thing quite frequently. Its a lot easier to grow as a painter or anything else if you push yourself to try new things and then practice them. Can't just give up if it doesn't work the first few times right? :)

  • whats the name of your war machine army? looks pretty cool : )

  • @terrateB They are the Protectorate of Menoth, a zealous religious organization that likes to purge non-believers with fire.

  • Awesome work! I remember the days of goblin green bases... 5 space marines for £5 those were the days!!

  • @wargamingpastor 5 identical night goblin archers and 5 identical goblin spearmen! Those were the days. More atmosphere in the hobby I thought.

  • Wow man! Good to see your progress man!

I've followed your videos since I first started, and it's cool to see a tiny snapshot of your journey :)

    great stuff!

    ~Ghost

  • nice progress. Id almost say that everyone that games has started a space marine army at some point.

  • Thanks for the entry! Great story Dev, love the progression, and that Doppelganger looks great! That was the way gw said to do the bases, paint it green and throw some flock on it. Remember to get it linked from my comments section of my vid. Great show last night too!

  • Haha, that base is so retro! Nice to see your progress as well. Imma upload a response of my own tomorrow probably.

  • @ARodriguez258 Please do buddy!

  • as always dev awesome to see your videos
