correct me if im wrong about kisame. so supposely kisame is strong because he absorbs chakra. that's why he's known as the tailed beast with no tail because he can absorb any tail beast chakra's. and the reason gai sensai beat kisame(not kill) is because gai sensai only use taijutsu on him.
