Catwoman probably wouldn't do that good unless she's just on the side: a love interest or pawn. All she does is steal shit, and while she can be revamped, her sole goal in the Batman comics is to obtain money (and hit on Batman).

I agree with you sooooo much, I didn't like a lot Heath Ledger's Joker, his acting was great and everything but the Joker he did was not the real Joker, for me he wasn't too funny, he didn't smile a lot and he didn't laugh a lot, and for me the perfect Joker is the 90s Animated Series Joker who has been also used in a lot of more tv series like in Justice League, and they should find an actor that can do a Joker like that one, who is really the best and the real Joker on Batman!!! :D

In all honesty if they do decide to have the Joker in the next movie I don't think he will have a big role. If anything they will have it be a bit part like Dr. Crane (scarecrow) was in Dark Knight.
I do think it would be amazing for them to have another Joker movie, however. Heath Legder was and is my favorite actor, however I feel the Joker is such a complex and interesting character that he needs more screen time. I am currently writing a screenplay that involves the story line with Dr. Harleen Quinzel. Not that it would ever be published, but i think the idea of having Harley in a movie would be amazing. To watch the Joker crack a psychoanalist would be incredible.

@allicsirpShow Well there was Mark Hamill's Joker in BTAS, who was pretty damn good in his role and he ran with it from the early 1990s all the way up to the Arkham Asylum video game, it's not like there was a complete 30 year vacuum and a void from Jack Nicholson to Heath Ledger, plus there will be a Joker in the upcoming Batman The Dark Knight Returns animated film. Ledger was interesting, but I don't believe it's going to be 15 or 20 years till we get another Joker, I'd bet on 10 at most.
plus this is Warner Bros Batman and Joker, not Chris Nolan's, and if they thought a live action Batman & Joker movie, TV show, video game, Broadway musical would sell like gangbusters, they'd put it out in a week. I believe there are already plans to do a Batman musical in London.

Let's look at this in retrospect. Joker is Batman's archenemy. They let him survive, and were clearly intending on using him again. Everyone who says that he shouldn't be recasted doesn't take into consideration that Heath himself said there are others who could play the Joker. And do you think that Heath would want this exceptionally great character who has more potential to be just dropped and buried with him? I doubt it. I say bring him back! Who's with me!
Let's summarize what you were trying to say, shall we?:
1 - 'The show must go on': Heath Ledger was a wonderful actor, and I'm sure would know that we should stick to one of theatre's oldest codes.
2 - The Dark Knight already boasted the Joker up so much to have pretty much taken over Gotham... he became bigger than the Mob. He pretty much had his own Cult.
P.S. Heath did a good job, but in truth, compared to every incarnation of Joker I've seen, Heath was no better nor worse. The reason I say this is because Heath covered areas of the Joker we hadn't seen, but left out aspects we loved. If you'd like to contest this, contact me and we'll babel.
Here's just my opinion, I agree that we should bring back the Joker into Batman chronology, but to put him in the next film would be a bit too soon. The difference between the acting skills of the next Joker and Heath would be too much for fans to handle, and the movie would flop immediately. Being fans, YOU KNOW THIS!! If the Joker was to return, we need to wait at least till Batman 4 to let the loss of Heath to sink into fans minds. Give it time...he'll be back...he always comes back...

So many of Batman's old villains have reformed & aren't bad guys; Catwoman, the Riddler... Two-Face is on-again/off-again, like Magneto. Answer to your question...NO. If Ledger was still alive and he was playing him, then I would love to see Joker again, but seeing as how what happend to Heath Ledger, I think they shoudn't use the Joker for quite some time now.
Also, look at the trend in the Nolan movies. The Scarecrow was a major villain in Batman Begins. He had a mere cameo in the Dark Knight.
Here's an idea for The Joker in the next film...
Reduce his role to one similar to Anthony Hopkins' in The Silence of the Lambs. Make it so that Comm Gordon (not Batman) has to consult The Joker to get help finding (lets say) The Riddler.

Because if the replacement doesn't get the characterizations of Heath's Joker SPOT ON, it will be a bust and a letdown. And that's almost too much pressure to ask of another actor.
In the old 90s films, the actor to play Bruce Wayne/Batman was Michael Keaton. His replacement for Batman Forever, Val Kilmer, tried to do a Keaton impression and came off bland and uninteresting.

Each film needs to have a theme. The first film was fear and the second was chaos. So if Penguin and Riddler are in the next film, the theme would problably be deception and then another film would have Catwoman and Poison Ivy with the theme seduction. PS, I think they should try to find another actor for Joker. He's the best villain...well, ever. Mr. Nolan could still find someone to pull it off.

Catwoman probably wouldn't do that good unless she's just on the side: a love interest or pawn. All she does is steal shit, and while she can be revamped, her sole goal in the Batman comics is to obtain money (and hit on Batman).
I hope Joker and Harley come in the next one. Heath was awesome, and God planned his death very well (I'm an optimist; right after his best role), but Mr. J is sexy pants, and Harley is sexy pants so I want double pairs of sexy pants.

I agree with you sooooo much, I didn't like a lot Heath Ledger's Joker, his acting was great and everything but the Joker he did was not the real Joker, for me he wasn't too funny, he didn't smile a lot and he didn't laugh a lot, and for me the perfect Joker is the 90s Animated Series Joker who has been also used in a lot of more tv series like in Justice League, and they should find an actor that can do a Joker like that one, who is really the best and the real Joker on Batman!!! :D

I do think it would be amazing for them to have another Joker movie, however. Heath Legder was and is my favorite actor, however I feel the Joker is such a complex and interesting character that he needs more screen time. I am currently writing a screenplay that involves the story line with Dr. Harleen Quinzel. Not that it would ever be published, but i think the idea of having Harley in a movie would be amazing. To watch the Joker crack a psychoanalist would be incredible.

@allicsirpShow Well there was Mark Hamill's Joker in BTAS, who was pretty damn good in his role and he ran with it from the early 1990s all the way up to the Arkham Asylum video game, it's not like there was a complete 30 year vacuum and a void from Jack Nicholson to Heath Ledger, plus there will be a Joker in the upcoming Batman The Dark Knight Returns animated film. Ledger was interesting, but I don't believe it's going to be 15 or 20 years till we get another Joker, I'd bet on 10 at most.

This is my opinion:
I want to see the joker in the next movie, really bad. I love that character, especially after the dark knight when he was a smart, cool psycho, not a clown like in the other movies.
What I'm saying is: Put the Joker in Batman 3, but if he's not damn fammiliar to Heath Ledger (so brilliant actor) in both appearance and acting, then don't bother, it would only be a drag in the movie.

Let's look at this in retrospect. Joker is Batman's archenemy. They let him survive, and were clearly intending on using him again. Everyone who says that he shouldn't be recasted doesn't take into consideration that Heath himself said there are others who could play the Joker. And do you think that Heath would want this exceptionally great character who has more potential to be just dropped and buried with him? I doubt it. I say bring him back! Who's with me!

Here's just my opinion, I agree that we should bring back the Joker into Batman chronology, but to put him in the next film would be a bit too soon. The difference between the acting skills of the next Joker and Heath would be too much for fans to handle, and the movie would flop immediately. Being fans, YOU KNOW THIS!! If the Joker was to return, we need to wait at least till Batman 4 to let the loss of Heath to sink into fans minds. Give it time...he'll be back...he always comes back...

Also, look at the trend in the Nolan movies. The Scarecrow was a major villain in Batman Begins. He had a mere cameo in the Dark Knight.
Here's an idea for The Joker in the next film...
Reduce his role to one similar to Anthony Hopkins' in The Silence of the Lambs. Make it so that Comm Gordon (not Batman) has to consult The Joker to get help finding (lets say) The Riddler.

I want to see the Joker too, but for me at least it would be very awkward seeing someone else play him so soon :/
If they put Harley in the next movie with him, I'm sure I would get over it though. XD

Because if the replacement doesn't get the characterizations of Heath's Joker SPOT ON, it will be a bust and a letdown. And that's almost too much pressure to ask of another actor.
In the old 90s films, the actor to play Bruce Wayne/Batman was Michael Keaton. His replacement for Batman Forever, Val Kilmer, tried to do a Keaton impression and came off bland and uninteresting.
Nutshell: ONLY if the actor can do Heath's Joker perfectly.

I agree with you 100%. It would be a disrespectful not to have the Joker return. I mean was it disrspectful to Ceser Remero that Jack N or Mark Hamil play the Joker? He did a great job dispite the orange hair and mustach under the make up job.

I think in this movie was joker, harvey and a little time the scarecrow. absolutly I think catwoman have to show in Batman 3, the riddler and you know if joker shows can show to harley I really think harley quiin didnt shoe in any movie I dint its a good oportunity, but im afraid nobody can play joker as good as Heath Ledger.

Joker's 1 thing he shoud do better: He shoud stop treating Harley as trash and returne the love she gives him. She allways go back to him, even the time he allmoust killed her by throwing her out the window, and then he just sendt a rose to her while she was totally broken and she took him back. Harley you may be the cutest gal in the world, but your heart is just took big and too forgiving... You shoud at least tell him that he CAN NOT treat you like that. But after that the Joker is great!

i totally agree. i definitely want to see the joker return. a lot of people have been saying that Hammill should play him, but im not sure about that.

But it's gonna be hard to replace Heath Ledger... But even if Heath was a good "phyco" I think there was something he missed... I think he didnt have the Jokers charme... The Joker is a unic person, and I think we havent seen the best actor to be him... But im crossing my fingers for it;) by the way: love your movies! Your youtubes official Harlequin!

Each film needs to have a theme. The first film was fear and the second was chaos. So if Penguin and Riddler are in the next film, the theme would problably be deception and then another film would have Catwoman and Poison Ivy with the theme seduction. PS, I think they should try to find another actor for Joker. He's the best villain...well, ever. Mr. Nolan could still find someone to pull it off.

Hey Harley, recently Aaron Eckhart (Harvey Dent) said in an interview that Chirstopher Nolan said that the next logical step as far as villaisn go, for the third one, would be Harley Quinn and The Black Mask, so I think they're the ones he's going for xxxx

Just a thought on Cat Woman. If She will be In future Batman films, I think it would be an interesting sub-plot/emotional scene if we find out that BATMAN is in love with Catwoman, but BRUCE WAYNE is still in love with rachel daws. just a thought...

Harl! Such naughty language! I'd love to see Joker return for the next movie! I heard Johhny Depp would play him but probably only if Tim Burton returned as director, lol. If they do, they should definately add Dr. Harleen Quinzel as his therapist. I also heard rumors that Angelina Jolie would be Catwoman to which I say "Only if it's NOTHING like Halle Berry's god awful version!" (Gonna be brave and actually review that movie once I get on here.)
