  • fender all the way.

  • Tele forever!!!!

  • PRS, definitely

  • Great idea. I like this side by side comparison. Much appreciated.

The Tele is in a class of its own. Apples and oranges.

Guitars are not rocket science, folks. Shop around. I have about 45 electric guitars and quality of playabiilty and tone no longer have much to do with the price sticker as they did in the 'old days'.

  • that telecaster is very sweet... but i prefer seymour duncan on the samick guitar... i have one and it has a seymour duncan on it's neck.. and the bridge is duncan distortion.. it plays nice with metal and blues..

  • sir may i ask if this samick av1 only needs a better pick ups replacement?? then it will become a beautiful guitar with great tone?

  • @daveghel23 Yes, exactly.

  • @daveghel23 Yes. The original pickups have bad sounding. Go get the pickups fix according to your musical style and this guitar will stay with you for very long. I've been using mine for 4years. It's my first ever guitar.

  • At first, I thought the Ibanez at the beginning sounded the best until I heard you play the telecaster. Sounded much clearer than the others. Sounds like she's walking through the clouds by Jimi Hendrix? Not sure.

  • The Tele embarrass the others . . . not even a fair comparison . .

  • They all sound real nice but that old Telecaster is in a different league of awesomeness from the others

  • I like guitars with big nuts =P

  • sweet sound from the ibanez!!!

  • could you post either tab or chords?

  • @DJ027X First chord = Bar the 10th fret, then place finger on 12th fret "D" string, and 11th fret "B" string. Second Chord = Bar the 10th fret, then place finger on 12th fret "A" string. REPEAT those two chords again. Third Chord = Bar the 8th fret, then place finger on 10th fret "A" string. Fourth chord is same as second chord. Add small lead fills in between chords.

  • @jAMMAN798 Awesome, thanks a lot

  • holy crap is that real deal 68 tele?

  • @JgHaverty Yep, that baby was made in 1968. Still plays very nice.

  • @jAMMAN798 Want an ibanez jem for it? :D haha

  • Fender sounds great.

  • The demo arrangment ever!

  • I liked the ibanez and the tele the most

  • Tele>samick>ibanez>prs but thats just me

  • I like the Tele, what can I say, I'm a sucker for that jangle-ness.

  • the 1st guitar you played was an ibanez?? why the fuck did it look like a damn gibson ES?!

  • I don't think you chose a good ibanez to compete with the others. you should have gone with a solid body like the RG or S series.

  • thanks again. i think i am going to go for it.

  • thanks for the video , really great help. I was wondering on the Ibanze, I am looking for a jazz guitar, but need kind of a small body guitar. do you think this guitar fits the bill. also you where saying the neck seems to be a little big, is that width or thickness. Only a couple out there, I think this guitar is discontinued. any comments would be appreciated thanks.

  • @gbargy1 The Ibanez AGS83 models of guitars (current and past) are made amazingly well for a semi-hollow body guitar. The craftsmanship is top notch. I own plenty of guitars and the AGS is one of my favourites. The stock pickups are very well suited for jazz (warm, dark sound). The neck is great for blues, rhythm, jazz, rock, but not metal. The neck feels wide, but it is not thick, so you can easily reach beyond the 20th fret. The guitar also sounds excellent when unplugged.

  • tele is so much better. is it made in US? probably... but for the money i would go for the prs made in korea

  • While I was interested to hear the Ibanez, I was more impressed with the old Telecaster. I would like to hear the difference, if there is one, with a Mexican-made Telecaster substituted for the American-made version.

  • the tele wins hands down. humbuckers just can't do clean tones like single coils can.

  • just wondering, wich song are you playing?

    great vid

  • @kelinci No song really, just a few chords/notes I slapped together quickly for the demo.

  • in my opinion the telecaster blows all the other guitars out of the water. my dad has a tele that he had some work done on it. sanding frets and stuff. its so easy to play.

  • Interesting AGS but the Tele is the best ;)

  • the prs owns!!!

  • I like the telecaster the best here

  • tele by far........then PRS, Dont like the others

  • @Uz2Brockstar I was thinking the same thing. Tele and then Prs.

  • Hey I was just wondering how your Ibanez AGS83bbg is? I'm thinking of buying myself one. I love the beatles and music in that genre. And I'm a beginner. Should I get this guitar?

  • @kaithlyn123 The AGS83BBG is a super nice guitar. I don't believe I'd recommend it for a beginner though because it is not as versatile as one may want it to be and the neck may be a bit large for a beginner. It does have a nice rhythm sound quality to it however which I really like, but the sound is dark... made more for the background. Not bright like that of the Beatles.. You may find the Fender style guitars easier to play and they give a brighter sound closer to that of the Beatles.

  • @jAMMAN798 i was wandering should i buy a lws paul or a prs se custom? i like playing guns n roses, buckethead but i also like shredding. which of the two do you recomend for playing all those styles? i am verging on the prs because of the tremolo...

  • @phazonmangowarlord If you plan on doing some shredding, then you require a good neck for that. Les Paul's do not have that sort of neck. Some of the PRS SE models have a perfect neck for shredding. The entry level low cost Ibanez RG models have a good neck for this as well.

  • @jAMMAN798 cool dude! thanx for reply! may get the prs but will still think about others.

  • prs wins easily!

  • friend of mine plays the AV1 it's nato body it's all that great however the tones that come out of it are faily decent for such a low end guitar...

I like tha dampened sound of the tele but my favourite was the PRS...very nice crisp tone...

  • What pickups are in the AGS83?

  • @Deneteus The standard stock pickups that Ibanez places on this guitar line.

  • @jAMMAN798 I am thinking about putting some Burstbuckers in mine. Or maybe change the cap. There isn't enough nighs coming through.

  • @Deneteus The stock pickups in the AGS83 give it a warm, darker sound. However, depending on your amp you can compensate for this. The VOX Pathfinder and AGS83 combination work very well.

  • @jAMMAN798 I haven't tested it with my V33 yet. That my be a better pairing since its closer to the VOX.

  • what up with other companies remaking les paul?piss me off

  • Man telecasters with the neck solo's sound so sweet. I clicked on this to hear the samick since I may be getting one soon for a cheap LP style guitar. Sounds pretty good for the price.

  • nice tones man!! you got these without any kind of pedal?

  • @gadjox Thanks. No pedal or effects used. Just guitar straight into the amp with the volume gain turned up to 50%.

  • Was here to see the Ibanez, but thought the PRS SE was amazing so I went out and bought one. Very pleased thanks.

  • @dajoth The Ibanez AGS83 is very good at Jazz, Blues and warm rock, so it is a great guitar if that is exactly what you wish to play. The PRS however, can play a bit of everything and has some bite to it. The PRS is a very good all around type guitar.

  • I'ld say Fender > Ibanez > PRS > Samick for this one!

  • What song are you playing? O_o

  • It is just a riff I made up for the sound demo.

  • @jAMMAN798 Do you have the tabs. I really like it :D

  • Thanks for the comment. Sorry, I've never considered tabs. It would take me forever to come up with them.

  • Love the Tele most, but I was impressed with the Paul Reed Smith too.

That amp has a great sound!

  • Tele wins for tone on this one (warm), the Ibanez (is this an AGS83bbg?) sounds pretty good too the semi-hollow(ness) is nice a close second. The SE sounds very clear and crisp, the Samick sounds pretty close to the SE a bit less highs.

  • Yes, The AGS83 is the BBG model which is made of Bubinga wood giving it that interesting pattern and sound.
