  • Personally i think the audio rework was an improvment. It gave the old episodes a serious undertone that really fleshes out the mood of the characters situation.

But that enhanced picture shit is a load of crap. Contrast, color, and brightness tweaks at best.

  • 16:9.... lame im going to stop looking to buy it.

  • Does this contain the subbed versions of the episodes because i have always wanted to know what the japenese voices sounds like

  • @zenkay123 Yes they have the japanese version with subtitles. Don't be shocked when you realize that the script is a bit different and some things may be better.

  • @ainman1986 and @zenkay123

...or that EVERYTHING may be better.

  • What about the quite annoying compromise of cropping the series to 16:9

  • Did anyone noticed when Goku went super sayain at the very end that he went super sayain, then super sayain two them back down to super sayain? Look closely.

  • @desertfoxfilms no hey added lighting for power effect.

  • DVD cannot take HD quality. False advertising.

  • @TheOfficialGoten yeah not truly hd, but it would have been if unconverted on a hdmi dvd look at elfin lied when its unconverted on youtube

  • @TheOfficialGoten So I guess me watching it in HD on my HD tv doesn't count.

  • @Diabound66

Listen. If you knew anything about DVDs you would understand that just because you watch something on an HD television set does not mean everything you watch is HD. Also, DVD is not capable of storing HD content.

Besides, these sets were the epitome of shit.

  • to the casual fan who doesn't know all the facts this comercial is deceiving. Its a clear case of false advertising. It says throughout the trailer "remastered in high definition from the original japanese film masters"" No compromises" " experience the classic series as it was originally intended". All these statements are false and you can find out why but unfortunately i can't explain it because of youtube"s comment size limit

  • They keep re releasing this series why not just redo the series in the animation style from YO SON GOKU AND FRIENDS RETURN !!! Or just give us a new series that has nothing to do with GT..

  • @Nezluv123 They keep re-releasing it because they keep screwing up each release. the remaster process of these sets was bad, the dragon boxes had the color screwed up compared to the japanese dragon boxes, the bluray is the first time they got Z right. Kai is somthing that the guys in japan thought up where they cut out the filler, it's the one that I feel deserved to be done with new animation.

  • They were showing a naked baby goku, and then pedo vegeta.

  • @TheSexyOverlord (CONT) and apart from being high pitched Goku's Japanese VA sounds nothing like a loli. And yes if bad voice acting corny unfaithful scripts full of one liners and cheap MIDI music that never stops playing and is misplaced is good then yes the dub does excel. And liking the original doesn't make you a weeaboo.

  • @TheSexyOverlord As I have said before on one of my vids. That's what makes it so good. The character of Goku is meant to be a hick man child who loves nothing more then fighting strong opponents and nobody captures this better then Masako Nowaza. She is able to make him sound fun going and lively always with that silly tone to her voice but she is also able to really show anger or sorrow or just a serious tone in her voice when the time is right. Also I watch shows with loli type characters

  • @Ringworm1281 People in America aren't used to the fact that Dragon Ball and Dragon ball Z are comedy series with some action elements thrown in. In japan it's considered a "gag anime". The reason he sounds the same as an Adult as he did when he was a kid was for comedic effect.

  • @S0ryiu Yes DB started out as a gag manga but after the Piccolo-Daimao saga it becomes completely serious with a few little gags mostly in anime filler up until the Buu saga. And the reason Gokus voiced never got changed is because Masako Nowaza was already a perfect fit for the character so why fix whats not broken? Also Goku doesn't have the same voice he did as a kid, if you listen to his kid voice then his adult voice you can clearly hear the difference.

  • and then they release the dragon boxes and blu rays, XD which blow the orange bricks out of the water.

  • anyone know the name of the bgm in this trailer?

  • @Xenocyde0 Yeah, seriously what is the name of the song in this trailer. It gives me a wicked rock-hard boner.

  • Ocean Dub sucks because they edit out too much content, plus, the voice acting isn't very good, which is why I like FUNimation better, and I like listening to the japanese tracks

  • @xNukexGoxBoomx You know that besides the actual voice actors, Funimation was responsible for the Ocean Dub from ep 1-53. That means editing, dialogue (especially infamous translation errors) and all the other stuff

  • @daindom17 Oh yes I knew that, they responsible for shortening the episode from ep 1-67 to 1-53

  • The new picture quality is great, but it's taking me some time to get used to the new voice actors.

  • I reme,ber when I used to crouch until I :

    a.)My hair turned yellow Or

    b.)I crapped myself!

    Good times Goodtimes

  • Funimation Dub was SUPERB!!!!!

Now if you want a SHIT DUB look at Ocean... very shitty!!!!

  • @gravityhammer25 or the shittiest the big green dub lha no but ocean wasnt that bad just funimation's better

  • @razkable

Ocean dub just sounds very bad and weird, Funimation just seems right. Japanese is original and best, but funimation is second best.

  • @gravityhammer25 have you heard of the big green dub or as i call it the big green turd/dumb or big green dumb piece of shit

  • @razkable

Never heard of big green was it British or something??

  • @gravityhammer25 yeas look it up it sucks actually dont if you dont want to youll save yourself the embaresment and travestiy of it its funny though you shiould see it one day especially if you need a laugh i recomend you wait till your sad one day and nned it

  • @TheSexyOverlord He's supposed to sound that way for comedic relief... you do realise that Z is nothing more than a sequal to Dragon ball.... Goku and his sons sound like kids when they are grown as a way to show that "they are still innocent.". Also, nice to know what jackass you are by judging someone because they like somthing you don't.

  • @S0ryiu

Eh, the whole "Goku and his sons sound like kids when they are grown as a way to show that 'they are still innocent,'" isn't technically accurate. The real explanation is simply that the Japanese executives didn't want audiences to have to get used to a "new" Goku...or a "new" anyone, for that matter. The Japanese voice cast simply keeps the voice of whoever played that character first for the entirety of the series. Even if it's a reverse-scenario of Goku's, like Trunks.

  • thumbs up if u saw all the long comments and laughed

  • @68Yahya93 they gotta b shitn me

  • why cant anybody understand that the original dragon ball zs where the best i mean that what kept toonami going before they left and now i have no idea where they are and another thing those that like the remasterd ones and kai you suck for not understanding anime those fools i mean if it wasnt for toonami who kept dbz alive there would be no anime at all period i mean we all probally be boring and braindead by now if there was no anime

  • guys can anybody lead me to finding

dragonball, Z and GT uncut seaon sets and movies

  • Were can i get this, this is awesome!!!

  • Gohan: Mr Piccolo, thanks for saving me I'll never forget you...

Piccolo: Gohan... Come... Here I... Have something to tell you...

Gohan: What is it Mr Piccolo?

    Piccolo: NEEERRRRDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!

  • picolo .....are you a yoshi?

  • Can you watch this in Japanese WITH the Japanese soundtrack?

  • @NickNorie15 Yes,

  • I WANT ALL OF THIS EXCEPT THE ORGINAL MUSIC! I WANT THE GOOD AMERICAN SOUNDS!!! :(

  • @Hahaalot There is an option to listen to the Funimation music in the options.

  • The annoucer guy in this trailer is just so freakin over hyping it! damn!

OK, I never watched Dragon Ball Z when I was a kid, so I was blessed that I didn't have to watch FUNimation's crappy version of the show. However, I can say that I watched this version (the uncut version) of Dragon Ball Z because, not only is it in english and pretty accute to the japanese version, it is all uncut, uncensored and has the original japanese music in it!

  • @mpkio Also, I stayed away from the japanese version (I have watched it tho!), because the voice actor for Goku, Gohan and Goten put me off (Vegeta sounds awesome tho!!). But yeah, thats just me.

Oh, "Rock The Dragon" opening is EPIC!! :D

  • @mpkio

No offence but "Rock the Dragon" is just worse than Cha-la in every single aspect. There's no melody or nothing... It's just this freaky guy saying "dragon" over and over again. The Japanese opening is actually music.

  • @NickNorie15 I didn't say "Rock The Dragon" is better thatn "Cha-la" I actually like both songs alot. All I'm saying is that "Rock The Dragon" is a epic opening...

  • lol funimation is lying too much in this trailer.

  • Dragonbox >>>> season sets.

  • @MonstarX1 if he's a japanese fanboy. Then that must make you a faulconer fanboy? I would assume so.

  • Okay so what its the same fucking series ooooh widescreen oooh remasterd so the fuck what we all know what happened I was waiting for a Sunday Sunday Sunday! !

Cause he sound like he was giving monster truck tickets

  • Notice how the english dub has failed many times and they had to redo their dub countless times and keep milking the series with different releases, and not a single release was proper and original, especially the season sets, whereas Toei Animation got it all right on their FIRST TRY, and now look at it....The most popular series worldwide. Funimation may be more popular in a few countries, but it is common sense that the japanese version is the most popular worldwide.

  • @PrinceofSaiyajins456

the different attempts ur talking about... their first attempt was to make the show for little kids, then they changed their minds and made it for a teenagers, and once they got older they tried to make it again for young adults to enjoy.

honestly, the whole jap vs eng dub thing, it all depends on which u grew up with. I prefer eng cuz i grew up with it, but i clearly understand how ppl like both

  • @PrinceofSaiyajins456 The Japanese kinda blows in my opinion, in most cases in anime, I prefer the Japanese, but every character in the Dragonball Japanese dub sounds like they're voiced by a ten year old girl.

  • @IcyKubai7 No they don't, how in the fuck does piccolo, cell, freeza, vegeta, kuririn, yamucha, tenshinhan, boo, piccolo, roshi, etc.. sound like little girls?? , your deaf if you think DB has ten yr old girls voicing everybody, only Son Goku is voiced by a girl to fit his natural character, and I ultimately think he sounds sick, it's vice versa for me, in most cases I prefer anime in english dub, DB is one of the only few I prefer in japanese because it's faithful and consistent.

  • @PrinceofSaiyajins456 But the fact that Goku, the main protagonist of the series has a voice that difficult to listen to turns me off of the Japanese.

  • @PrinceofSaiyajins456 It has nothing to do with the voices. It has a lot to do with the culture, retard.

  • @PrinceofSaiyajins456

I'm not sure how you deduced that the Japanese version is the most popular on a worldwide basis based on the fact that Toei got it right the first time. Quite frankly, I only think the Japanese version is most popular in Japan. In Canada, fans swear by the Ocean dub. In Germany, fans swear by the German dub. In Spain, they like the Spanish dub. The only way for an anime to truly be recognized is for it to have a popular dub.

  • i'm a big fan of dragon ball z and what i have to say is that is awesome

  • Both audio english audio tracks are uncut?

  • brunce faulconers music was the best but the jap music is crap :(

  • @TheLewis110 faulconer has heavy metal low budget synthesizers to perform themes..whereas the japanese score HAS ITS OWN JAPANESE 80'S BAND SINGERS as the character themes.

  • @TheLewis110 So? what's your point, Kikuchi's score has character themes as well. The japanese version is and always will remain to be DB at it's prime. The japanese music sounds very 80s retro and sick. Silent moments are very well done with DB. We don't need faulconer garbage ruining every scene back to back with music that NEVER shuts up.

  • @PrinceofSaiyajins456 Agreed, Faulconer's music is garbage.

  • @FilMarck Respect!!!!!!! =). You know what I find hilarious, FUNimation even admits that their old dub was complete fail. Faulconer got fired for kai because they didnt want him changing the original japanese music and admitted that his music was pure shit, even though kais japanese music wasnt that great. The original japanese DB DBZ DBGT is a masterpiece. IF YOU ENGLISH DUB FANBOYS DON'T BELIEVE ME DO YOUR ACCURATE RESEARCH ON DAIZENSHUU EX .

  • @TheLewis110 Not true.

Bruce's music is techno/rock and doesn't fit at all with the series, the musics flat, empty and just doesn't flow with the show or the characters, like the original Japanese BGM does.

  • @FilMarck I could think of a million videos to counter that but you're clearly just a japanese fanboy

  • @MonstarX1 You grew up watching the retarded american version of DBZ so it's no wonder you love it.

Only US fucked up DBZ while the rest of the world kept with the original BGM, which is 10000x better.

  • The big questions are: if it includes the Japanese audio, do the English subtitles reflect all the true script? Like, do they actually swear; fuck damn shit, all that? Secondly, did they leave the blood/gore intact? Fuck that edited stuff we were forced upon in America.

  • @TheLewis110 Well DBZ was made in 1989 lol.

  • EVERYONE CHECK MY VEGETA AMV OUT :D

  • Where'd you buy your dvds ?

  • I hate the Japanese soundtrack!!! Why couldnt they just release two versions of DVD sets. One with Japanese soundtrack and one with Bruce Faulconer's soundtrack. Or better yet, put an option in the DVD settings to change the music!!

  • @Airking11 faulconers music was pure garbage and did not sync well with this masterpeice The remastered sets r also garbage and arent even remastered at all. If you want to truly experience what toriyama and toei gave us. Then become a hardcore fan and get the dragonboxes

  • @PrinceofSaiyajins456

LOL "Hardocore" eh? So original always trumps over newer adaptations or something? I prefer Faulconers soundtrack as well for the pure reason that its much more fast paced. The classic japanese music has more of a martial arts feel to it, which went perfectly well with DragonBall but not DBZ (IMO).

  • @RageFira That's your opinion, kikuchis score went perfect with both db and dbz, dragon ball isnt some guitar rock n roll power rangers super man cartoon, its an 80s cartoon with 80s character themes . Have you heard GT's japanese score, it blows the english musics score for GT out of the water, GT's english version was pure garbage

  • @PrinceofSaiyajins456 Hence why I said 'IMO'. I wouldn't consider the original perfect. It fit DragonBall perfectly, but I absolutely preferred Faulconer's version for DBZ instead. Made fights much more dramatic. I do agree with your GT argument though, Menza's scores were atrocious for GT making it more unbearable to watch which is why I'd always keep the original music instead.

  • "includes japanese audio" wtf bruce faulconers music was the best why change it?

  • Theres a US TV Broadcast verison that has Bruce Faulconer's music.....

  • What is the song in video?

  • @TheLewis110 The reason the Japanese music sounds old is because DBZ itself is old. The show was not made in the same time as Inuyasha and Naruto. It was made in the late 80's for Christ sake. Quiteness does make a scene more dramatic.

  • 'Originally intended' my arse.

  • I don't understand why you would sacrifice superior quality (Dragon Box) just for music (Remastered). That's...........................sad.

  • they shuda waited and done it on fucking blu ray

  • i would buy these if they were'nt so bleached and over saturated and the widescreen was not a good thing i prefer kai

  • Comment removed

  • k easy question, can you watch it with english voices and american music?

  • @anarkie0111 yes

  • DBZ Remastered Boxsets > Dragon Box

U know why because Dragon Box doesn't have Bruce's Music! :(

They should of added Bruce's Music in Dragon Box! :(

    That Sucks!

  • @BlackWall500 The Dragon Boxes were aimed at the Japanese fans.

  • @SilverZEntertainemnt True but they should of atleast added Bruce!

  • @BlackWall500 DragonBox volume 1 would not have Bruce Faulconer track either way because the episodes it covered never used Bruce Faulconer for its English track. That was only the 68th episode and to the end that uses Bruce Faulconer.

  • @anti4kids2000 Yea but Dragon Box 4 doesn't even have Bruce and thats way above episode 63?

  • @BlackWall500 What I am saying is that if FUNimation decided to put the American soundtrack, Bruce Faulconer would still not be in the first volume. Also if you're wondering when Bruce was used for the English dub, its the 68th episode.

  • @BlackWall500 That would have lowered the bitrate a lot if they added another audio track.

  • @pokewhiz7 I guess but I would have more buys to those American Fans of DBZ so it would be better!

  • @BlackWall500 I think they should have just had Japanese audio as one option and English with Bruce Faulconer as another option. If you're watching the dub, chances are you want his music.

  • @pokewhiz7 Yea but it would be better If we had a chose between Jap w/ Bruce or Eng w/ Jap Music! :)

  • @BlackWall500 No, I mean if someone's watching the dub, chances are they would rather have Bruce. They should Jap w/ Jap and Dub w/ Bruce.

  • @pokewhiz7 Chances are you want this/his music? What a fucking unfunny joke.

    Bruce's music sucks horse shit.

  • @FilMarck I know it does, I watch it in Japanese anyway. What I'm saying is, there would be a lot more people buying the Dragon Box if they included his music. Yes, it does indeed suck horse shit.

  • @BlackWall500 True that, but Ultimate Uncut Edition > DBZ Remastered Boxsets HARD!!

  • @AnimeNYC I don't know how Ultimate Uncut Edition can beat DBZ Remastered! XD

  • @BlackWall500 Bruce's music sucks horse shit.

Thank god the US Dragon Boxes didn't have it, neither should it even include the English dub but rather just subtitles would be enough.

  • @FilMarck -_-

    It's an opinion!

Ur probably just used to listening to the Jap Music!

  • @BlackWall500

    DBZ remastered boxsets >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>dbz kai

love bruce's music 'cuz it fits all the settings of ALL episodes & i hardly notice. the jap music i have to notice & it doesn't fit dbz at all! db is another story where it does fit.

  • @midniteryder Well the Jap music in DBZ isn't that bad but Bruce is better! :)

    DBZ Kai Sucks!!!

  • @midniteryder you didn't just say that...the season sets quality is pure garbage. They made the quality even worse and it wasn't remastered at all, they just brightened the picture to eyebleedinglevels and made the picture more blurry. Not to mention that the blue and orange bricks are missing quite a bit of the picture. The blue bricks may be full screen, but that doesn't change the fact that they zoomed the picture in so you aren't seeing the entire thing. With Funimation, you can't win at all.

  • @BlackWall500 Stop complaining, it shouldn't even came with an English dub.

Japanese + Eng subs = Perfect!

  • @FilMarck Agreed! Japanese is so Awesome! :D

I love Mazako, She is the Greatest Goku!

  • @BlackWall500 no way dude bruce falkner sucks. But i still like the remastered sets better. But the original music is the best can't believe people think it's better than the original it's retarded

  • @shadowcharmy I love the Japanese Music as well! :)

  • @BlackWall500 I know right! It's much better! The bruce falkner music just doesn't capture what Akira Toriyama originally intended.

  • @shadowcharmy Agreed! :)

  • @BlackWall500 Bruce Faulconer is a great soundtrack and it's hard for me to say this but...IT DOESNT GO WITH DBZ!!!! Im sorry it just doesnt, it's true. all it can do is make it sound epic and or creepy and at times somewhat retro and thats it when a lot of the series wasnt supposed to sound/feel that way. the soundtrack also never took a break, it was like watching a musical at times! lol

  • @fireredtrainer01 lol true! XD

    The Japanese Music is Incredible!

  • Just wanted to double check: Can you watch this with the American dub and the japanese soundtrack?

  • @NickNorie15 Yeah. There's 3 audio tracks: English w/ Japanese Music in 5.1 Surround Sound (Default), English w/ American Music in Stereo (My personal favorite), and Original Japanese Audio in (I believe) Original Mono with optional subtitles.

  • So far I've just settled on waiting for the Dragon ball Kai uncut edition that will eventually come out in a few years. Original is better as long as Kai keeps getting the censorship, but i will say it's music beats japanese and bruce faulcner. Not that they aren't good tracks, i love vegeta's theme but i like Kai's music the best so far.

  • @GohanTheLegend how can you like kai's music? I absolutely hate Kai, bring back Rock The Dragon!!!

  • @mehico33

Rock The Dragon is garbage dude what kind of drugs are you on?

  • @DieByTheSword420 Weed and coffee, but thats irrelevant. Rock the Dragon is awesome (your taste = fail lol) purely for nostalgic reasons but the Faulconer score is worlds better than the invisible soundtrack of kai, there is no energy and very little emotion in it. The show loses mountains of entertainment value with the japanese score, sad but true. (obviously all anybody can give as regards such matters is opinion but still...)

  • @mehico33

You're crazy son. Lol. Rock The Dragon sounds like a corny ripoff of RATM. Hey if ya like it better that's cool but don't try to tell people that it's musically better. That's just crazy talk.

  • @DieByTheSword420 Dont ride orange unicorns on sunday!

Nobody said its musically better, its just way cooler. However it can easily be argued that the faulconer score is superior to the kai score (if a little messily executed), but that would be like arguing what color is the best.

The show is just far less entertaining with the japanese score

  • @mehico33

But I like riding orange unicorns on Sunday! You ain't the boss of me!

Lol nah but you really think Rock The Dragon's cool? Yeah the early Kai score is a bit dull in my opinion, but most of the tracks from Android saga on are INSANELY EPIC. Plus I like Kikuchi's score, even though in Kai they only play like 10 different songs. I really wish they would use some better ones. If you gave original JAP DBZ a chance you'd probably enjoy it.

  • @DieByTheSword420 Yeah dude ive watched every episode in japanese and english. I like the japanese dialogue and the japanese vegeta voice (the japanese goku makes me cringe). Its all a matter of opinion, kai would be badass if it didnt have that horrible 80sesque bubblegum pop

  • @mehico33

Jap Vegeta's voice IS awesome isn't it. Bubblegum pop though? It doesn't need to have Bruce Faulconer to be good dude...

  • @DieByTheSword420 "Dont stop! Dont stop! Dont give up now! La la la I love everyone! You gotta believe in yourself!!!!" I just cant sit there and listen to some Rick Astley type shit coming at me from Dragon Ball Z of all places, its just not for me man.

If kai had the option of the faulconer score id buy it all immediately(I actually did buy the first 3 seasons on blu ray but gave it to my kid cousin after watching a few episodes)

  • @mehico33

That's just the intro ya bum. The music in the show is absolutely nothing like that. I know the intro song is gay as hell but the show is the complete opposite.

And the voice actresses for Gohan and Bulma are extremely talented. You have no idea how tired I am of hearing people bitch about Gohan's voice. They really make it out to be a lot worse than it actually is. Sure, at times it can be pretty annoying, but at least she puts emotion into the voice. It reflects Gohan's character perfectly. Gohan ain't a badass fighter, he's a whiny little kid who wants to be a scholar. And Bulma's new voice makes her sound like the bitchy, selfish, but in

  • @DieByTheSword420 well get used to it man, dissenting opinions are part of the human experience. The new gohan voice can be rationalised sure but that doesnt stop it being downright painful to listen to, so I refuse to do so. Its all subjective

  • @mehico33

You ain't gotta like it, but don't say it's horrible because there's a lot of people who don't think so. I know it's your opinion but your opinion ain't fact, no offense. It's cool that ya like what ya like but ya shouldn't say it sucks cuz it doesn't.

  • @DieByTheSword420 Totally, I know I shouldnt, I just do... lol

Im not that woried about hurting peoples feelings to be honest, if a guy can say "the jap music is better" as a factual statement, then another guy can say "the jap music blows" as a factual statement.

Of course all anybody can present as regards such things is their own perspective, so we should all acknowledge that and not let opinions hurt us.

What are comment sections for? "Positive feedback only please!"

  • @mehico33

Ain't nobody's feelings hurt man i'm just sayin' lol. Yeah people do go back and forth like that but it just turns into some immature argument. Saying "jap music blows" is a bit different from saying "i dont like the jap music" if ya think about it. If somebody is just like "fuck jap dbz and fuck kai yeaaah bruce faulconer" they come across as kind of a moron lol. Not saying that you did since you didn't really say anything like that.

  • @mehico33

And Bulma's new voice makes her sound like the bitchy, selfish/self centered, but very intelligent bitch that she is lol. Her old Funi voice made her sound like a total airhead, and not a bitch at all. You see what i'm saying?

  • @mehico33

You clearly haven't heard enough of the original soundtrack. The ones they chose for Kai ARE bad examples, but it ain't about the music. I can thoroughly enjoy it with the score they have now, even though I think the Yamamoto score is much better. I really can't understand your logic, you hate the show because the music isn't "epic" enough? It's about the story, the voice acting, the dialogue, and the fights. And the voice actresses for Gohan and Bulma are extremely talented.

  • @RobertsNetworkCom I might watch it. I have heard different reviews, but I can't watch the whole series over again. I guess I could, but the music seems so old, whereas the funimation music seems really intense. I will take your comment into consideration and watch a few episodes though.

  • @RobertsNetworkCom I'm making reference to the American Fans who adore the Japanese Music. We didn't grow up listening to the Japanese Music. We watched DBZ with the American music. The people who make rants all over youtube always bring up how the Japanese Music is "right thing" to listen to. I see so many videos of users berating the people who listen to American music. I admit I shouldn't have put "posers", I'm just saying younger American fans listened to American Music, not the Japanese.

  • @sbloss17 totally, unfortunately there are a lot of eletist scum who call themselves "true fans". Rock the dragon!!! brotha!

  • i wouldn't really care about how dbz is I'll still watch it. thats a dbz fan

  • What's this song in this trailer? Who made it? It seems to be based off of the American title card music.

  • you know what sucks? dragonball Z kai...they start out with this kick-ass, "blu ray looking" theme, then go to the original quality... THAT'S THE BIGGEST SLAP IN THE FACE!!

  • I hate Kai's new script.. made it appeal to the young...but I guess that's ok because it is being featured on nicktoons and CW... but as far as music and voices go... I loved the original and everything about it.. just wished that the old voice of kid/teen gohan would have stayed.. cause the new one...well....

  • Dayuuuuum. Anyone remember the announcement, with like the text and the red background?

  • I liked Cells theme for funimation, and their music wasnt bad it was just the opening that sucked.

  • pause it at 1:26 and you'll notice the lines missing on Krillin's/Kuririn's arm and hands.

"experience the classic story as it was originally intended" my ass

  • @MajinBmag *gasp*

LINES MISSING?! ON ARMS AND HANDS?! OH MY GOD, THE ENTIRE SERIES IS FOREVER RUINED! NOOOOOO!

  • IF FUNIMATIONS SHITTY ENGLISH MUSIC TAKES OVER DRAGONBALL IT WILL BE THE END OF ALL OF USSSSS!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

  • Thank god its funimation dub.

  • Soo should this be bought over the shitty kai dvd? I really dont want to have to watch that show with the crappy dub and shortened times. Just the original like on cartoon network and toonami. I liked the scripting, filler, music, voices, and everything that was original. It actually connected you to the show..not just to keep you busy for 30 minutes and get station ratings and marketing efforts.

  • you guys do realize that the remasted dbz's contain missing footage from some of the movies and throughout the series of dbz i realized when i watched my bardock special on my double feature the scene when bardock is warning the saiyajins of freezas coming to destroy the planet, and they dont believe him, that parts missing and i think quite a few other scenes are missing to, WHY WOULD FUNIMATION TAKE OUT SCENES WHEN ITS UNCUT

  • Why would they even remake dbz into kai? I look at kai and i see no difference, if i do see a difference it looks like photo shopped ass. If they really wanted to remake the series they would of gotten state of the art artists that could of competently re animated the series. But knowing them they would of done it the lazy computer way instead of the old fashioned pick up a pencil and start drawing way. I hate new technologically, but i think i might hate dbz kai worse!
