I wouldn't call the half guard a half mount. IMO the half guard can be a very aggressive guard if u have the lockdown and double underhooks or atleast the underhook on the side u have the lockdown on. Alot of times I pull halfguard on guys and theres tons of opportunities for sweeps.

i agree half guard top isnt as dominate as he makes it sound. A few inches of space and some grips and hes done.
